Yes, It's Christmas in November. Much to the disliking of our wives & girlfriends, or husbands & boyfriends for our sisters out there, Thursday Night Football has returned. As league trade deadlines approach, we sadly lose the thrill of wheeling and dealing on a weekly basis. The good news is our fantasy fix extends to three days a week. Hopefully you've made the last minute adjustments in preparation for a playoff run. As we relinquish the ability to trade, waiver wire priority begins to play a more pivotal role as teams strive for fantasy glory. The Running Back By Committee (RBBC) has swept the league as coaches look to keep their studs healthy and optimize opportunity by creating situational backs. Rumors have been flying that Michael Vick would be signed by weeks end. Every team has been mentioned as a possible suitor at one time or another. According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Philly has stepped up and pulled the trigger. The birth of the "Wild-Cat" offense has created a new niche for the non-traditional passer. He has always been better on his feet than with his arm and the formation seems tailor-made for someone of Vick’s versatility . Teams that implemented "The Cat" in 08 used running backs or wide-outs who posed little threat in the passing game. Vick’s ability to do both is a offensive coordinator’s dream, and a defensive coordinator’s nightmare. Vick will take the formation to a new level.
