Arian Foster Has Been Stepping All Over The Competition In 2011 And We Expect The Same In 2012

The end of the week means our final ranks for the week. We have updated and moved players up and down the board according to all of the developments of the week. I won't dive deep into last night's football game. While the game had a great finish, it was ugly from a football perspective and was horrifying from a fantasy perspective. When the top three fantasy scorers from last nights game are in order: the Broncos defense, Tim Tebow and Joe McKnight. Yikes. Every few weeks we assess the state of the RB position and take a look forward to next season. Here is an early look at our top 12 2012 RB Ranks. Due to Darren McFadden's injury history, he just missed the cut. McFadden has now missed 3 games or more in each of his first four NFL seasons. He is quickly becoming big time risk big time reward. 1ST LOOK: RB Week 11

The Real McCoy?

(Editor's Note: We accidentally left off the San Diego Chargers RBs. Ryan Mathews lands between 18 and 19. Mike Tolbert lands between the 23 and 24 spot. ) We take our 1ST Look at the RBs today. With the start of the Thursday games already in full effect, we take a look at the injuries.  In Philadelphia it will be very interesting to see if LeSean McCoy is as effective without Mike Vick as he is with him. Vick is dealing with broken ribs, and while he hasn't been ruled out, it seems that it is all but a fore gone conclusion, that he will miss week 11. In Denver Willis McGahee was present at the start of practice and barring any setbacks this week is on track to start Thursday Night against the Jets. Speaking of set back and the Jets, LaDainian Tomlinson left... read more

Week ten is the odd week of the NFL schedule. All 32 NFL teams will be in action for the first time since week 4. Even though in week 11, the last four teams have their bye weeks. It is also the start of Thursday night football. The slate of Thursday night games other than the Thanksgiving games have been well... Not so great. It is a good thing since half of the country couldn't even watch those games because they are on the NFL network. I can tell you, that you didn't miss anything. Starting this Thursday there is actually a decent matchup. The Raiders coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Tebowing Broncos and the Chargers who are on the tour of misery 2011. Flash... read more

Note to our readers come September 8th only subscribing members will be able to use our Q & A all football season long. Don’t get left out in the cold. Arian Foster’s hamstring injury is a concern but the bigger question is who should you draft as his backup. Derek Ward and second year back Ben Tate have been battling back and forth for the handcuff role. Ward might be the better back but the Texans have a bigger investment in Tate. The jury is still out on what type of season MJD will have since we haven’t had much time to evaluate him. On the positive side Jones-Drew played with the injured knee all season long and racked up over 1,600 yards in just 14 games.  Yes his dynasty/keeper league value takes a hit but... read more

We take another look at the running back position this week. There are plenty of make or break events that will take place this week as we head into the last week of exhibition games. Fantasy Football Brothers Free Draft Kit roll out continues today with our RB ranks and writeups. We have been constantly adding and removing players. We are constantly making changes to our ranks as things are literally minute to minute at the running back position. As you have heard us say before there is plenty of talent at RB. Yes the days of 3 down backs are disappearing. They are becoming endangered species. That doesn't mean there isn't plenty of talent available throughout the draft but the lack of quality starting backs are a little thinner than expected. There is a ton to read here so we will keep this intro short and sweet. Remember To Ask Us A Question. It's still free until the start of the season, then it's only available to our Brotherhood All-Access Members. Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Aug 17th 2011 and last modified on Aug 18th 2011. (Print This)

The free draft kit rolls on. In fantasy football, knowledge is power.  So today Fantasy Football Brothers will drop a little knowledge on you.  This is a handcuff chart, but this list also serves as an up to date depth chart as things stand right now.  The NFL has only played one exhibition game so far, so rosters are still shaking out.  Who ever you end up drafting you need to know who is next in line for carries.  There are some teams that have clear cut backups, other teams have their depth chart constantly in flux. There are some teams that have backup players that are truly closer to being the 1B on the depth chart than a true handcuff.  Guys like Jonathan Stewart, Mike Tolbert... read more

WE'RE BACK!!!!!!  The Brotherhood is back, we have been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the NFL both players and owners to come to back their senses. It looks like we are less than a week away from officially having a season. Having a full season is huge for so many reasons which I won't get into now but will focus on the important part. Fantasy football! I have felt a void missing in my life and after writing a bunch of columns that never got published due to the lock out, I have sat idly by and watched the proceedings knowing that the owners and players would come together. It was always a matter of when. I know I was one of the few that felt it would be sooner... read more
