The stud wide-0ut stepped it up when it counted putting together one of the better performances of his career. He's the sure-fire No. 1 this week. Atlanta will have to keep pace with the Saints if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive. Julio Jones and Roddy White should be very active in a game that has all the makings for a shootout. Laurent Robinson has scored 8 touchdowns in the last 7 weeks, while Dez Bryant has scored in 4 out of his last 5. The return of Miles Austin will target dilute, but all three are very viable options vs. the Bucs. Demaryius Thomas is coming off of a 13 target outing. He's scored 3 TDs in the last 2 Weeks and should have continued success vs. a New England secondary that struggled against Donte Stallworth and Jabar Gaffney. The Falcon aerial attack finally appears to be firing on all cylinders. Roddy White has scored in three straight. After dropping the potential game winning touchdown in Week 13, Julio Jones exploded with 2 scores in Atlanta's comeback win over the Panthers. Percy Harvin has exemplified the versatility and big-play ability that made him such a hot commodity coning out of college. Christian Ponder's maturation is evident despite the Vikes loosing record. Harvin has scored 4 receiving and 1 rushing TD in the last 5 games. In the last three weeks, he's accumulated 22 catches for 324 yards and 4 TDs. UPDATE - with Ponder out, expectations should be lowered. Michael Crabtree continues to improve. The targets and yardage totals are there, despite the Niners conservative approach. He's a weekly Top 20 prospect if he can begin to find the endzone more often. Brad Smith has stepped up for the Bills. Once thought to be nothing more than a utility man, Smith has been targeted 17 times over the last 2 weeks - pulling down 11 catches for 149 yards and a score. Tampa's Mike Williams appears to be back in 2010 form. In his last two games, Williams has pulled down 13 catches, for 167 yards and 2 scores. Prior, he hadn't scored since Week 1 and has yet to top 100 yards in a game all season. Things are pointing in the right direction. We expect Williams to continue to produce, but he'll have his hands full with Chris Gamble vs. the Panthers. New England, New Orleans and Green Bay are the three best offenses in the league. They all take pass-first approaches and stay throwing in the red-zone. As games appear to be well in hand, there is no letting up. The more points they appear to score - the better they play. The Top-10 is filled with favorable match-ups. The Green Bay/Detroit game will leave fantasy owners quite thankful. The aerial statistics that will be accumulated in that game could break holiday game day records. There is no receiver hotter than Jordy Nelson. He plays opposite an elite talent, while being on the catching end of the league's best arm. His receiver tree has all the branches. He can move the chains, stretch the field, and most importantly - find pay dirt. Expect bounce-back weeks for Greg Jennings and Calvin Johnson who found themselves out shined by their supporting cast in Week 11. Roddy White appeared to return to relevance last week. THE MAIN EVENT The Carolina/Detroit game will be a sight to see. Calvin Johnson and Steve Smith are two dominating, yet completely different receivers. Both players had sub-par outings last week. Megatron has passed initial concussion screening and is expected to go. Carolina has no one capable of covering him. Detroit will be unable to contain the explosiveness of Smith. Look for Cam Newton to get back on track. As the NFL transitions more and more into a pass-first league, the number of statistically relevant WRs is increasing. Some of the "Best Supporting Wide-Out" nominees include: Mario  Manningham, Jordy Nelson, and Antonio Brown. Manningham appeared to have fallen behind 2cnd year impressor Victor Cruz, only to find pay-dirt in three consecutive weeks. The Giant's talented trio will face-off vs. what was thought to be a solid Eagles secondary. The Patriots have the easiest schedule in the league moving forward. Wes Welker will cause Brandon Flowers fits this weekend. The Pats lack of running game is supplemented with dink and dunk passes to Welker. DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin will make up for their poor performances vs. the Bears. The Cardinals will allow Michael Vick to work the edges. Philly has worked the middle of the field the past few weeks as opposing defenses have keyed in on shutting down Philly's burners on the outside. Zona lacks the corner talent to keep up with this dynamic duo. That being said, Maclin is the far superior and consistent talent. The return on investment on Jackson could be considered "bustable" given his ADP. Shady McCoy's and Mike Vick's success on the ground has made the Eagles more balanced than it has been in years....
