This week the brokers from the Brotherhood focus on what stock options are available heading into the 2010 season. Selling before the crash and buying on the cheap can lead to fantasy cash flow. We’ll provide free quotes and offer up-to-date stock analysis on today’s market trends. In Part I of this two edition piece, we’ll explore QBs and RBs. Be sure to tune in tomorrow for WRs and TEs. Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB RISING: How can he rise any higher? Rodgers has been my No. 1 QB throughout the off-season, but what he's been able to do with his preseason snaps has been down right amazing. The Packer offense looks unstoppable. The offensive line woes of a year ago seem to be remedied. His accuracy is dead on. His completion percentage cannot be matched. Greg Jennings' emergence into... read more

Sleepers & Busts

Posted by Paul in Fantasy Advice on Aug 31st 2010 (Print This)

With most fantasy drafts being held over the next few weeks, you can't help but feel a certain amount of excitement starting to build.  All those endless hours of preparation will finally get put to the test.  One of my favorite parts of any draft is selecting players in the later rounds.  I can't think of a better feeling than unearthing a fantasy gem with a late round flier. To make your job easier we do our Sleepers and Busts a little different.  We cover all 32 teams and identify multiple players who we feel could have a fantasy impact.  The fact is, we've become very good at identifying these players.  Last year we recommended taking fliers on Miles Austin, Sidney Rice, Jermichael Finley and Jamaal Charles to name a few.  If you happened to land two of these... read more

TOP 240: Kickers & Defenses Not Included

Posted by Paul in Rank,Ranks,Top 200 on Aug 26th 2010 and last modified on Sep 2nd 2010. (Print This)

A top 200 ranking is an essential tool that every fantasy owner should use to help dominate their draft.  It helps owners gauge a players overall value instead of his positional value.  As usual, we went a little bit deeper and ranked the top 240 players.  We feel it was important to rank every player that could become relevant at some point during the season.  I left out defenses and kickers because my colleague Rob has already covered them extensively in his positional write ups.  We will continue to update these rankings as the season approaches. Top 240 1) Chris Johnson - TEN - RB 2) Adrian Peterson - MIN - RB 3) Maurice Jones-Drew - JAC - RB 4) Ray Rice - BAL - RB 5) Frank Gore - SFO - RB 6) Andre Johnson - HOU - WR 7) Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB 8) Michael Turner - ATL - RB 9) Drew Brees - NOR -... read more

Keeper League Rankings-Quarterbacks-

Posted by admin in Fantasy Advice on Jul 31st 2010 and last modified on Aug 1st 2010. (Print This)

Many fantasy owner's play in keeper leagues. Every year we must decide what player is the best fit for our team. This can be decided by many different things, but in keeper league's age can be a deciding factor. Some keeper league's only keep one player. I play in a league where we keep eight player's, so deciding who to keep and when to let them walk is a big decision. It can burn your roster for year's to come and regret can set in. Yes, there is such a thing as rebuilding in these kinds of keeper leagues. So below is a list of the quarterbacks that have the most value in keeper league systems. Keeper League Quarterback Ranks 1) Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB 2) Drew Brees - NOR - QB 3) Peyton Manning - IND - QB 4) Tony Romo - DAL... read more

QB Draft Kit week continues today with our ranks and writeups. We are also taking a look into our crystal ball and with our 2010 stat projections. There was much debate here at Fantasy Football Brothers surrounding our combined ranks. There always is when you have five guys with five different opinions. We took each of our  five individual ranks and combined them to come up with this rank. We will continuously update these ranks and projections as the NFL gets into full swing. 1) Drew Brees - NOR - QB CMP ATT PYDS PTD INT RUSH ATT RUSH YDS RUSH TD 399 585 4790 35 12 25 36 2 The reigning Super Bowl MVP enters 2010 as our #1 signal caller. After four straight 4,000 yard seasons it would be a crime not to rank Brees #1. The Saints offense comes back virtually intact so we can expect him to pass for more gaudy passing numbers in'10. The only thing hurting... read more

2010 May QB Rankings

Posted by Paul in Fantasy Advice,Quarterbacks on May 14th 2010 and last modified on May 19th 2010. (Print This)

The quarterback position is typically the most important player on the football field. 99% of the time QB play is crucial to a teams overall success.  Over time the NFL has evolved into a pass first league.  Sure, you'll always find a few teams that run the ball 35-40 times a game, but the majority are spreading out the field and throwing as much or more than they run the ball.  It's a trend that will continue and is the reason why front office personnel around the league will almost always do anything to secure a top signal caller.  Teams know that without a strong quarterback there's a good chance you can kiss your playoff hopes goodbye. The same can be said with fantasy football.  Often without a top echelon quarterback leading your team, there is a decent chance you’ll miss the playoffs.  Nine out of... read more

1ST LOOK: 2010 DYNASTY QB RANKS

Posted by Paul in Fantasy Advice,First Look,Quarterbacks,Ranks on Mar 2nd 2010 and last modified on Mar 4th 2010. (Print This)

This week the Brotherhood will be releasing our 1st LOOK at the 2010 dynasty rankings.  We know the season isn't technically over, but we also know how important it is to stay ahead of the competition.  There is nothing wrong with starting your prep work a little early. We're going to kick off this week with the quarterbacks.  This is how I would rank and value these players if I had to select my keepers today.  These rankings will change throughout the off-season.  Some teams are going to improve through the draft and free agency and others are going to lose key players.  Philip Rivers is a good example of a player who could find himself losing several key members of the Chargers offense.  The San Diego front office has a lot of decisions to make this off-season.  Do they resign Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd and LaDainian Tomlinson?  If they... read more

DeAngelo Williams Injury Could Leave Fantasy Owners Out In The Cold

It's Monday and there are huge playoff implications riding on the Monday night game tonight. Congratulations to all that have already made it into the Championship. It's the week of Christmas and the Brotherhood continues to  get all of their readers a huge Christmas present in the form of being your League Champion. We start the week off with the major fantasy injuries and what potential impact it could have in your quest for the title. Most owners made it through the first 15 games of week 15 relatively unscathed. The biggest most obvious injury is to DeAngelo Williams who went down early in the first quarter. The Panthers never really needed him so it will be debatable if he could have returned if necessary. Hopefully you handcuffed him with RB Jonathan Stewart who... read more

1ST LOOK: INJURIES WEEK 15

ACL Injury = Season Over!

Fantasy contenders can't afford to have their studs show up in the infirmary. This is football, and every week has it's casualties. Injuries at this point in the season can often be the Achilles heel to playoff hopes. The league has taken a more cautious effort to protect it's players, but bumps and bruises are part of the game. Team depth becomes a factor as the wear and tear of the season starts to take it's toll. If any of these guys are on your roster and your looking for a potential fill-in, take a look at our Waiver Wire article, or feel free to submit a question. All sit/start and waiver wire questions will be answered. For every wound there is a band-aid. Let's take a look at this week's casualties. Update: Jeremy Maclin was carted off the field in the second... read more

Insurance Policy?

The playoffs are here and today's Tuesday, so that means Fantasy Football Brothers delivers its' First Look Series. We hope you are in the playoffs, remember it's not how you got there, it's the fact that you made it in. There were alot of quarterbacks who put themselves on the fantasy radar in Week 13, such as Bruce Gradkowski, Josh Freeman, Alex Smith and Jason Campbell. Many fantasy owners are relying on guys worse than these options and if you don't have a backup quarterback to Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, or Kurt Warner, now is the time to get insurance come playoff time. Have a Sit/Start, or Waiver Wire Question? – Send it in. The Brotherhood answers ALL questions FREE of charge. Be sure to add us to your favorites, become a fan on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.
