Week 5: WR Ranks & Writeups

Posted by in Ranks,Wide Receivers on Oct 8th 2010 and last modified on Oct 9th 2010. (Print This)

The talent pool depletes as the bye weeks kick in and teams are scrounging for band-aid fill-ins as they find their studs on the sideline. There are injuries that need to be monitored. Andre Johnson appears ready to return to the field though he’s not at 100%. Austin Collie has been absent from practice the last two days nursing a foot injury. His status for this weekend’s match-up is in question. Pierre Garcon may finally return from his hamstring injury just in time to potentially step back into the starting lineup if Collie is forced to sit. On the Rise: Kenny Britt should begin to step up in Justin Gage’s absence. Hopefully he’s put his immaturity behind him. He’s found the end-zone twice and pulled down a 2 point conversion in his... read more

Week 5: Player Projections

Posted by in Projections on Oct 6th 2010 and last modified on Oct 7th 2010. (Print This)

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the Week 5 Projections. It's do or die time across fantasy leagues and it could be time for many fantasy owner's to try and make a move to improve their teams. Andre Johnson owners are between a rock and a hard place because Johnson is a little nicked up and he hasn't been putting up his typical numbers. Fantasy owner's in the lower part of their league standings might need to wait to get full value for him. Other owner's will try to pounce and buy low on Johnson. With all that being said this is a critical time in the season, unless your team plays two games a week, but if you play in a one game per week league, it could be time to address some of your team's issues if you haven't done so on... read more

The top of our list is stacked with favorable match ups. Roddy White holds down the 1 spot with the Cleveland Browns in town. Boldin will most likely draw Champ Bailey in coverage which will lower his ceiling. Calvin Johnson should remain hot with the Rams visiting Detroit. Greg Jennings' stats have been saved with visits to the end-zone, expect another score vs. the Skins. DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin's numbers will suffer due to Kevin Kolb's inability to get the ball down field. Santana Moss disappeared while T.O. blew up. Moss may have continued difficulty drawing Charles Woodson in coverage. T.O. should have continued success vs. the Bucs. Mark Clayton has become a weekly must-start while Mike Sims-Walker is as labile as ever. It'll be interesting to see the competition between Roy E. Williams and rookie Dez Bryant continue. Here's our 1st Look at WRs for Week... read more

Week 4: Player Projections

Posted by in Projections on Oct 1st 2010 and last modified on Oct 2nd 2010. (Print This)

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the player projections in Week 4. The projections were pretty difficult this week as big names like Ray Rice and Steven Jackson will more than likely sit this week. Knowshon Moreno has already been ruled out, so Moreno owner's can thank head coach Josh McDaniels for saving us the Sunday morning headache and wonder. There are other names that look like they might be out as well, Jahvid Best and Ryan Mathews are looking like game time decisions and Fred Taylor and Clinton Portis haven't been practicing. I would expect Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis and Ryan Torain to see alot of action this week. In the receiving department Andre Johnson of the Texans still looks to be slowed by a gimpy ankle. I don't doubt that he will play through it, but it also doesn't help matters that... read more

1) Roddy White - ATL - WR White continues to dominate the majority of Matt Ryan's attention. Through three weeks, he leads the NFL in targets (41). He should have continued success this weekend vs. a Niner defense that has been a disappointment thus far. Tony Gonzalez emerged last week and should provide White with some defensive respite. He'll find pay-dirt once again. 2) Brandon Marshall - MIA - WR Chad Henne finally stepped up and realized that his success rides solely on his ability to get Brandon Marshall the ball. Marshall made the most of Darrelle Revis' absence and showed why he was a Top 5 Brotherhood favorite entering the season. New England's secondary is extremely young and inexperienced. Marshall shall once again take advantage of a favorable situation. 3) DeSean Jackson - PHI - WR After a... read more

1ST Look: Week 4 WR Ranks

Posted by in 1st Look,Rank on Sep 28th 2010 (Print This)

The first bye week is here. With Austin, Dez, Roy Will, Percy, Mike Williams and Dwayne Bowe sitting, fantasy squads find themselves thin attempting to fill out their starting roster. The Denver, New Orleans and Chicago receiving corps are as crowded as ever. Predicting production for these teams will continue to be difficult. Marshall took advantage of Darrelle Revis' absence and should have continued success this week vs. a young and inexperienced Patriots' secondary. DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are getting along quite well with their new quarterback. Andre Johnson's ankle injury is of concern. They're calling it a high ankle sprain, but he thinks he can still play. Wayne and Collie should continue to pile up stats vs. a very poor Jags Defense. Malcom Floyd appears to be the real deal. Colston and Crabtree continue to disappoint. Batch-to-Wallace was something... read more

Week 3: WR Ranks

Posted by in Ranks,Wide Receivers on Sep 24th 2010 and last modified on Sep 25th 2010. (Print This)

Austin jumps Andre for the 1 spot. Moss and Welker look to put up numbers vs. the Bills. Brandon Marshall should benefit from his avoidance of Revis Island. Nicks, Santans, Collie and Royal should all continue to produce. Crabtree, Bowe and Garcon are all looking to get stared. How should you sit? Who should you start? Questions about how to trade? Who to pick up off the wire? Who will continue to struggle? Who will bounce back? Try our ALL ACESS BROTHERHOOD MEMBERSHIP, where all questions are answered. Here's the Brotherhood's Week 3 WR Ranks and Write ups. 1) Miles Austin - DAL - WR Austin is unstoppable. Dallas is in disarray, but Austin's numbers have not suffered. Dez Bryant will eventually mature and steal some targets, but he's the highest scoring WR in most formats. 2) Andre Johnson - HOU... read more

Note To Our Readers: 1ST LOOK: Ranks are for our Brotherhood All-Access Members only.  The WR ranks are part of our free trial so that our readers can sample the 1ST LOOK: Andre's ankle injury is said to be minor, but it's just enough for Austin to unseat him at the 1 spot. Look for Welker and Moss to put up solid stats vs. the Bills. Chad Henne needs to find a way to get the ball to Brandon Marshall more often. DeMaryius Thomas came out of no where to put up solid stats in his NFL debut. Garcon and Crabtree continue to struggle. Nicks and Collie find ways to hit pay-dirt. Mark Clayton proves to be no fluke, Ocho tweets he's got a fractured rib, and Santana Moss is once again fantasy relevant. Here is the Brotherhood's 1ST LOOK WEEK 3 WR RANKS: 1) Miles... read more

1ST Look: Week 3 Waivers

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Sep 21st 2010 and last modified on Sep 22nd 2010. (Print This)

Every Tuesday morning we post our 1st Look waivers.  Our goal is to provide you with a list of fantasy relevant players who could be available on your leagues waiver wire. Remember it is only week 3, everyone has a bad game, and the season is filled with ups and downs. Stick with the Brotherhood as we get you and your team where they need to be. Injuries are effecting teams and more importantly fantasy teams. RBs Reggie Bush is out for at least 6 weeks after going down last night with a broken tibia, Kevin Faulk looks to miss some serious time. RB Ryan Mathews went out early with an ankle spain, and the fact that the Chargers said they will not update his status until tomorrow doesn't sound promising. All of a sudden RB Mike Tolbert seems important, he is a... read more
