Tuesdays means the Brotherhood takes our early 1ST LOOK at all of the important fantasy skill positions. Here we take a look at the backs. Two more starting RBs went down on Sunday and their availability for week 7 doesn't look to great. Cowboys RB Felix Jones likely suffered a high ankle sprain which is never good for a back. In Detroit Jahvid Best had his bell rung. He has a long history of head injuries dating back to college, Best owners should be pretty concerned. With the bye weeks going the talent at RB is getting paper thin. RB LaGarrette Blount will likely be out again this week leaving Earnest Graham to carry the rock. He looked pretty good last week and even better in a PPR league. In Indy after I bashed RB Donald Brown for being a bust... read more

Back To Back RBs? At the end of a long week we have just what you need to start the weekend off right. Positional ranks! We are entering week two of the NFL bye week season and the talent at RB is thinning out. We have been debating at the Brotherhood HQ whether we would draft our teams differently if we could. The answer is probably. Here is why. For statistical purposes lets use a half point PPR league scoring format so that both sides of the scoring league setup can get a feel for the stats I am going to use. Using a half point PPR scoring league to make a general point. About 70% of the top twelve highest average scoring RBs were ranked in our top 12... read more

It's official the RB position is impossible to figure out. Ok well not really but the hyperbole is a nice touch by me. If I asked you to name every RB that is in the top ten in rushing yards, how many could you name? Or if I told you that there are 23 RBs that have scored two or more rushing touchdowns this season but Arian Foster, Cedric Benson and Matt Forte are not on that list. Or that DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart have a total of one rushing touchdown between them. What's my point? There is a reason why we encourage owners to make sure that they hit at the RB position on draft night. It is very important just look at who is leading your fantasy league and who is on their roster. The... read more

The Brotherhood rolls into the Bye weeks as the fantasy season is flying right along. It feels like only last week, when we all were wondering if there would even be a season. This weeks write up will be much shorter due to on going festivities and preparation for a Fantasy Brother wedding. FB Paul ties the knot, gets hitched, attaches the ball and chain tomorrow and every other cliche available. I would like to congratulate Paul and wish him and his lovely bride all the love and happiness that they could ever want. Cleveland, Dallas, Miami,St. Louis,Washington and Baltimore are all on bye weeks. Which means the percentage of RB1s available just went down by at least 2o%. The good news is the early bye allows Peyton Hillis, Daniel Thomas and Steven Jackson... read more

Every Tuesday the Brotherhood takes a 1ST LOOK at the upcoming weeks RB ranks. RB Jamaal Charles was lost for the year leaving a huge question for fantasy owners and the Chiefs. RB Thomas Jones is the obvious answer, but is he the long term answer? We think not. Look for a combination of Jones, Dexter McCluster and even a little Jackie Battle. Let's not forget about FB Le'Ron McClain who could even find himself in the carry equation at some point. The situation in K.C. screams stay away. They have the look of being a very bad team. The only upside is after the Chargers the AFC West is completely up for grabs. Some of the elite backs that were drafted in the first two rounds have left a little something to be desired. Frank Gore... read more

(1ST LOOK is available only to Brotherhood All-Access Members. This article is a free pre-view.) Every Tuesday the Brotherhood takes a 1ST Look at this weeks upcoming ranks. Even though these ranks are not set in stone it is always good idea to start planning ahead. On Friday we will post our our final ranks for Week 2. Week 1 showed us some shocking and disappointing moments. We saw Steven Jackson break a big run and then leave the game never to return. The early news out of St. Louis doesn't sound too promising for Jackson 0wners in week 2. It looks like Cadillac Williams will be a big waiver wire hero. To the surprise of no one Arian Foster sat out week 1. If anyone asked us before the season starter: Who is the better Texan backup?... read more

Fantasy Football Brothers rolls out Part 2 of our Sleepers & Busts. A sleeper pick isn't always a guy that you have never heard of. Sometimes there are players that are getting drafted much later than when they should. It always comes back to value with us. The same goes for the busts. They are not necessarily going to bomb or have a completely awful season. These guys have expectations that do not line up with their actual production or they are being drafted way too high. Miami Sleeper Davone Bess - MIA - WR Bess has quietly produced back to back solid seasons for the Dolphins. He caught 79 balls last year and 76 in '09. He's going in the 14th round (14.02) in 12 team leagues. That's great value for a solid WR3. Value Reggie Bush - MIA - RB I'm not a fan, in... read more

Note to our readers come September 8th only subscribing members will be able to use our Q & A all football season long. Don’t get left out in the cold. Arian Foster’s hamstring injury is a concern but the bigger question is who should you draft as his backup. Derek Ward and second year back Ben Tate have been battling back and forth for the handcuff role. Ward might be the better back but the Texans have a bigger investment in Tate. The jury is still out on what type of season MJD will have since we haven’t had much time to evaluate him. On the positive side Jones-Drew played with the injured knee all season long and racked up over 1,600 yards in just 14 games. Yes his dynasty/keeper league value takes a hit but... read more

This is part one of my two part installment of a Team by Team Sleepers & Busts. I don't know about you, but I love to read everything I can on sleepers and busts. It's often the first thing I flip to when I'm browsing through a fantasy magazine at CVS, and it's the first thing I'll scroll to when perusing a site. I love seeing who the "experts" dub as "sleepers and busts". I get it. Who doesn't want to be the first person to take a chance on a late round flier and have him pan out? If you took Brandon Lloyd in the 16th round last season, you know what I'm talking about. It's often these late round steals that can put your team over the top. It's the reason why I go Team by Team trying to... read more
