To all of our family and friends Happy Holidays to you and yours from all of us at the Brotherhood. We wish everyone all the best tomorrow in the biggest week(Don't Worry Week 17 Owners The Brotherhood Rolls On) of the year for most of fantasy football. Thanks to all that have made the 2011 fantasy season a successful one. It was only a few short months ago, when we wondered if we would even have a football season and now we are here at the end. Go with what got you to the title game, always go with your gut and remember you have a secret weapon that no one even knows exists in your back-pocket. We are Fantasy Football Brothers! INJURIES  Roy Helu-WAS Questionable Helu is dealing with foot issues and is expected to play. How much he actually plays this... read more

RB Ranks Week 15

There is plenty to talk about at the RB spot this week with injuries dominating the news. DeMarco Murray's breakout came as quickly as his season ended. Darren McFadden is still not ready to return to the field. Adrian Peterson is expected to suit up after missing a few games. Kevin Smith returns after missing a game with a high ankle sprain. RB Adrian Peterson-MIN  Questionable Peterson is expected to return this week barring a last minute set back. AP should handle the bulk of the carries unless the game becomes a blow out and then we might see him a much more limited fashion to keep him healthy.  Toby Gerhart will be relegated to back up duties once again. RB Mark Ingram-NO OUT    With Ingram out again, it will be another RB du jour game. Second year back... read more

Arian Foster Has One Of The Best Fantasy Schedules For The Playoffs.....The Texans QB Situation Is The Biggest Obstacle Facing Foster

The playoffs for most owners, are now under way. For some unlucky players they start next weekend  week 15, which means that they have to play through week 17. We do not envy those that have to play in week 17 due to the fact that some NFL teams begin to rest their players for their own NFL playoff push. The good news is that there are a ton of the elite RBs that will have great fantasy playoff matchups. We love to preach that you should always start your studs. There is nothing wrong with using a strength of schedule. In fact a strength of schedule is a great tool that every owners uses, but you should never live and die by a strength of schedule.... read more

It's playoff time for almost all of fantasy nation. Owners are shoring up wholes and scouring the waiver wire looking to ride that special player that can help bring a title. There aren't any RBs that jump out and say I can win you a title, but there is some potential. The biggest potential comes from the Chicago Bears backfield. If Marion Barber can play like its 2007 or 2008 then owners will find a steal on the waiver wire. Malcom Floyds' return is a potential shot in the arm for owners that have depleted receiving corps. The elite WRs for the most part have been largely disappointing. Part of is the massive amount of injuries, the other part is the never ending stream of injuries to decent QBs this season. Remember to keep it simple and just because it... read more

Fantasy Playoffs It's was just ten short years ago when  an incredulous Jim Mora responded to a reporters question about making the playoffs. His immortal retort. "Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs? Are you kidding me? Playoffs?" That interview is still as funny now, as it was ten years ago. Sadly today only an owner that has made their fantasy playoffs will find humor in that. Congrats to all of you that have made your fantasy playoffs.  It's time to bring home a trophy. For those that missed out in the playoffs, look back and see what you could have done differently. Whether it was poor drafting, team mismanagement or lineup problems all of these issues can be fixed. We can help. I will talk about this at another time but... read more

Week 13 RB RANKS

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Dec 3rd 2011 (Print This)

Thursday Night Football   Our 1ST Look RB Ranks promised a great RB matchup on Thursday with Marshawn Lynch and an injured LeSean McCoy battling it out. Lynch was ranked 10th and McCoy 8th and both lived up to the hype and earned their lofty rankings especially Lynch. He racked up 148 yards rushing and two scores. He now has four games of over a hundred yards rushing in his last five games with a near miss of 88 yards rushing in the other game. He has scored 5 touchdowns in his last five games and has now scored at least one touchdown in his last 8 games. McCoy was no slouch either Thursday with 84 yards rushing and a score to go along with his 4 receptions for 49 yards and a receiving touchdown. He has been the... read more

RB Two Where are you?   I feel like I have been asking this all season long. A few weeks ago I wrote about how maybe it's time to re-evaluate the RB draft philosophy. This is the first time the RB2 guys have all shown up at once. It was also a lot easier to notice their arrival with all of the disappointing performances from the elite backs in week 12. Was it a perfect storm of matchups and coincidences? Or are some of the backs that we have been waiting on all year finally healthy? I think we are dealing with a lot of factors that would best explain week 12. One it was a perfect storm of events. Chris Johnson finally breaking some long ones. Wells finally healthy enough to carry the ball more than 13 times in a game or to even be on the field on back to back... read more

To All of our readers, we wish a very Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.   I'll be back on Friday with more RB news that you can use INJURIES RB Fred Jackson-BUF Jackson went from questionable to already ruled out to maybe out for the year. We don't have any details other than he is definitely out this week. C.J. Spiller will be moved back from WR to RB. The Bills just lost a huge piece of that offense. Jackson has been the lone spark plug to that offense, since the passing game has gone down hill over the last month. Spiller might not be a great runner but he is a great pass catcher. Spiller becomes a decent flex play in PPR leagues. Johnny White... read more

Arian Foster Has Been Stepping All Over The Competition In 2011 And We Expect The Same In 2012

The end of the week means our final ranks for the week. We have updated and moved players up and down the board according to all of the developments of the week. I won't dive deep into last night's football game. While the game had a great finish, it was ugly from a football perspective and was horrifying from a fantasy perspective. When the top three fantasy scorers from last nights game are in order: the Broncos defense, Tim Tebow and Joe McKnight. Yikes. Every few weeks we assess the state of the RB position and take a look forward to next season. Here is an early look at our top 12 2012 RB Ranks. Due to Darren McFadden's injury history, he just missed the cut. McFadden has now missed 3 games or more in each of his first four NFL seasons. He is quickly becoming big time risk big time reward. Even... read more

Week 7 RB Ranks

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Oct 21st 2011 (Print This)

Week 7 means we have hit the middle of the NFL bye weeks. NFL Bye weeks lead to the emergence of some unlikely players. Owners are forced to reach and build up players that if the bye weeks were already over these players would likely be a mere after thought.  Like the saying goes necessity is the mother of invention.  These players have emerged as potential BOOM or bust: RB Jackie Battle KC- Battle is a 6 footer that weighs almost 240 pounds. He was timed around 4.3 in the forty yard dash before being drafted. He did well in a run and shoot offense. I have written this a million times in my answers to our subscribers when asking whether Battle is worthy of a start. His skill set is off the charts. On the... read more
