Sleepers & Busts

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Aug 31st 2010 (Print This)

With most fantasy drafts being held over the next few weeks, you can't help but feel a certain amount of excitement starting to build.  All those endless hours of preparation will finally get put to the test.  One of my favorite parts of any draft is selecting players in the later rounds.  I can't think of a better feeling than unearthing a fantasy gem with a late round flier. To make your job easier we do our Sleepers and Busts a little different.  We cover all 32 teams and identify multiple players who we feel could have a fantasy impact.  The fact is, we've become very good at identifying these players.  Last year we recommended taking fliers on Miles Austin, Sidney Rice, Jermichael Finley and Jamaal Charles to name a few.  If you happened to land two of these... read more

TOP 240: Kickers & Defenses Not Included

Posted by in Rank,Ranks,Top 200 on Aug 26th 2010 and last modified on Sep 2nd 2010. (Print This)

A top 200 ranking is an essential tool that every fantasy owner should use to help dominate their draft.  It helps owners gauge a players overall value instead of his positional value.  As usual, we went a little bit deeper and ranked the top 240 players.  We feel it was important to rank every player that could become relevant at some point during the season.  I left out defenses and kickers because my colleague Rob has already covered them extensively in his positional write ups.  We will continue to update these rankings as the season approaches. Top 240 1) Chris Johnson - TEN - RB 2) Adrian Peterson - MIN - RB 3) Maurice Jones-Drew - JAC - RB 4) Ray Rice - BAL - RB 5) Frank Gore - SFO - RB 6) Andre Johnson - HOU - WR 7) Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB 8) Michael Turner - ATL - RB 9) Drew Brees - NOR -... read more

Don’t forget the Brotherhood All-Access Membership is here. Dominate your draft with our customized league scoring draft tool. Have a question, bounce it off of us before you make a final decision on trades or player pickups. We are here to help you win a title. The Brotherhood has been hard at work with our draft kit roll out. Last week we ranked all of the RBs and this is our combined ranks. There was a ton of debate here as usual with fists being pounded on the table and lots of spirited discussion to put it mildly. We will be updating our positional ranks early and often as we head towards the start of the season.  And as a note to the reader, even though there are some injuries already, we are not going to move the players up and down the ranks due to a minor injury.  *Asterisks Are Next... read more

We are keeping an eye on Knowshon Moreno and Pierre Thomas closely right now. The Broncos signing of LenDale White will eventually bump him down the ranks now that he has landed in Denver. It has been a strange, if not downright weird few weeks here at the Brotherhood. First and foremost I am happy to announce and welcome another new member to the Brotherhood. Welcome to the Brotherhood Jason Daniel Michaud. This young man also doubles as my first nephew. I hope to see him helping us out with our 2020 draft kit. As some of our readers might know our site was brought down by a hacker, Our Director of Technology, who also just happens to be the father of J.D. has assured me that our site is again 100% safe and locked down. Now GoDaddy has some questions that need to be answered, but I will save that rant for another day. We again apologize to any of our reader's that were inconvenienced by this brief interruption. While we have... read more

Is There Such Thing As A Sleeper RB1? Thomas Jones Owners Say Yes

On Tuesday here at Fantasy Football Brothers we give the earliest free ranks in the entire fantasy world. Our 1ST LOOK: segment is meant to give you the owner every possible chance to dominate your fantasy league. We take a look around the NFL, looking at matchups, injuries, weather to give you the most up to date information as we head into the Fantasy Playoffs. Speaking of playoffs I thought we could take a quick look at the hottest players from weeks 6-12. Fantasy scoring leaders are usually dominated by the QB position since the QB has the most touches in a game. In a .5 P.P.R. league that gives 5 points a touchdown and -2 for interceptions the rest of the scoring is standard. The top 25 might really surprise you. Remember this is from... read more

Return Of The King

Fantasy Football Brothers took most of the day off for Thanksgiving yesterday so this week we will only have an introduction paragraph instead of the usual 5,000 word epic rank and novel. There have been injuries galore the last few weeks with owners feeling the pinch having to find suitable back up replacements for all of these injured stars.  Cedric Benson, Michael Turner and Julius Jones are all looking like game time decisions at the time of this writing. Adrian Peterson retakes the number one spot in the final ranks for the first time since week 7. With a game against the defensively challenged Bears this weekend it should be easy for A.P. to earn this top spot. Steven Jackson has a great matchup this weekend but the biggest news heading into this weekend is the health of his back, keep a close... read more
