With the wild card round in the rear view mirror now, we're left with eight teams battling for divisional supremacy. The eight teams left leave us with a healthy batch of quarterbacks entering different paths in their careers. As many as four are destined for the hall of fame and will look to continue building there legacy. Two are striving to take the next step in an attempt to move into the top tier while the last two guys are simply out to make a name for themselves. We should take a moment and reflect on how special this group of quarterbacks truly is. We'll start at the top with Warner and Favre. Both are sure bets to make the hall and could be playing in their last games respectively. Warner is... read more

The regular season of Fantasy Football is over, but that doesn't mean the season is over. Fantasy Football Brothers takes a look at the Quarterback rankings for 2009 Playoff Leagues and these rankings are done by a last man standing type rules. This of course means the highest ranked players we believe will go the furthest in the NFL Playoffs. If you own Peyton Manning and the Colts are knocked out, you are done with scoring points from the Quarterback position. While we don't think this will be the case, you never know, anything can happen in the post-season. Playoff Leagues draft only one player at a position and no moves are allowed, again your player gets knocked out and he is done, that is where the last man standing comes in. Leagues usually run with the basic 1-QB<--->2-RB<--->2-WR<--->1-RB/WR<--->1-TE<--->1-K<--->1-D/ST type roster. Have a... read more

Week 17 is upon us. The final week of the NFL regular season inevitably signals the end of the 2009 Fantasy season. If your reading this then your probably playing for a title. I'm not a fan of the week 17 playoff format and will never play in a league that extends until this week. I feel like it takes away from everything owner's did throughout the year. To many teams rest players this week and I'm actually ok with it. I'm not ok with what the Colts did last weekend, but that's a separate rant all together. If you rode Peyton and Co. this far they either burned you last week or have you scrambling this week. The key is to find players who have something to play for, but at this point in the season, it's... read more

If your reading this then you're either playing for a championship or you're a week away from fantasy glory. This is the week to pay attention to what the coaches are saying. We need to know if certain players are going to rest or play sparingly. Check your waivers and look for those free agents who have solid match ups this week and could help your team in a pinch. We're not sure how the Colts are going to use Peyton Manning, if you own him have a backup plan in place just in case. The Colts have locked up everything in the AFC, unless they're shooting for perfection this could very well be the week Manning only plays a half. It's worth noting that some of our top QB's have very friendly match ups. Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Warner, Rivers and Schaub... read more

Tuesday at Fantasy Football Brothers means that it is 1ST LOOK ranking time. If your reading this there is a very good chance your playing for a title or your one win away. Either way, now is not the time to reflect back on the season. This is the week to pay attention to what the coaches are saying. Are certain players going to rest or play sparingly. Check your waivers and look for guys available who have solid match ups this week. Welcome to week 15! If you have made it this far congratulations, but don't pat yourself on the back just yet. There is still work to be done and it starts at the top with the quarterbacks. Week 15 offers some difficult match ups from some of the previously safer options. After the top ten passers it becomes kind of a crap shoot. I wouldn't be very comfortable heading into the weekend with anyone outside the top 10. Difficult match ups and the weather will definitely play a roll and are sure to cause some sub par performances. One guy I'm not worried about is Kurt Warner. I know he didn't produce great numbers against the 49ers but they came into that game with a solid plan and executed it to perfection. That will not happen over the next two weeks when the Cardinals face Detroit and St.Louis. The only thing I would be... read more

Welcome to week 15! If you have made it this far congratulations, but don't pat yourself on the back just yet. There is still a ton of work to be done. Week 15 offers some difficult match ups from some of the previously safer options. One guy I'm not worried about is Kurt Warner. I know he didn't produce great numbers last night but the 49ers came into the game with a solid plan and executed it to perfection. That will not happen in the next two weeks when the Cardinals face Detroit and St.Louis. The only thing I would be worried about is the starters sitting after three quarters in a blow out. Drew Brees and Peyton Manning are top options each and every week unless we're certain they're going to sit. Let's hope that doesn't happen. After all it's why most fantasy leagues have the playoffs from weeks 14-16. Back in August I pegged Rodgers,... read more

If your reading this then you probably made your leagues playoffs. Congratulations the first step is over. Now forget everything that happened over the last few months because none of it matters. The new season began last night with a horrific showing from the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's just another example of how different the NFL can be from week to week and year to year. I wrote in August how important it is to have a legitimate stud quarterback come playoff time. I hope you listened because that will probably be the difference in a first or second place finish. It usually is. Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Kurt Warner and Tom Brady will lead thousands of teams to fantasy titles this year. Why? Because they're... read more

The playoffs are here and today's Tuesday, so that means Fantasy Football Brothers delivers its' First Look Series. We hope you are in the playoffs, remember it's not how you got there, it's the fact that you made it in. There were alot of quarterbacks who put themselves on the fantasy radar in Week 13, such as Bruce Gradkowski, Josh Freeman, Alex Smith and Jason Campbell. Many fantasy owners are relying on guys worse than these options and if you don't have a backup quarterback to Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, or Kurt Warner, now is the time to get insurance come playoff time. Injuries at this point in the season can often be the Achilles heel to playoff hopes. The league has taken a more cautious effort to protect it's players, but bumps and bruises are part of the game. Team depth becomes a factor as the wear and tear of the season starts to take it's toll. Update: Steeler's receiver Hines Ward is reported to have pulled him hamstring in Pitt's loss to the Raiders. The Steelers have a short week and are due to play on Thurday Night vs. the Browns. If Ward can't go, Mike Wallace should see a bump in production. RB Bernard Scott already ruled out Week 14. 1) Matt Schaub - HOU - QB Schaub suffered an injured/dislocated shoulder. Rex Grossman stepped in and threw a quick pick. Schaub returned to salvage his... read more
