Week 13 is upon us.  In 99% of fantasy leagues week 13 symbolizes the final week before playoffs begin.  If you haven't locked up a playoff spot yet and enter the week needing a win, you'll be sure to have a few sleepless nights.  Just remember when your lying in bed steering up at your ceiling.  The anticipation and sleepless nights are why we play and love the game.  Would you rather be the owner who's out of the hunt, but sleeps like a baby?  Me neither.  If your still fighting for a playoff spot enjoy the moment.  Don't over think roster moves this week.  Now isn't the time to get cute.  Start your studs and stick to whats worked all year.  One poor decision can end your season and leave you kicking yourself until next year.  That's a long time to have a pit in... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's heads into Week 12 and we hope everyone had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. The slate of games was pretty decent and the best game of the night belonged to the Cowboys and Saints. It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys mail it in for the rest of the season or if they decide to play the role of spoiler. If you haven't taken advantage of our services now is the time as we head towards the fantasy playoffs. You don't want to sacrifice all of your league's riches because you didn't want to pay the price of a six pack at the store. Well some might, but for most of us it's what keeps the better half at bay for another year. The fact that you can show him/her that money can actually be made is priceless. Buy... read more

1St Look: Week 11 QB Ranks

Posted by in 1st Look,Fantasy Advice on Nov 16th 2010 and last modified on Nov 17th 2010. (Print This)

In last weeks rankings I had mentioned that Vick looks better than he has at any point in his career.  What he was able to do against Washington was almost unfair.  He is so good, I can't imagine anyone being able to stop him.  If you went into Monday night with a 55 point lead, and your opponent only had Vick remaining, you probably thought you had an easy win.  I know I did. Vick is number 1 in my 1St Look Ranks and I'm excited to see what he'll be able to do for an encore this weekend.  Last week I said Vick will probably lead several owners to a fantasy title.  A game against the Giants and their front seven will surely be a true test of what we can expect from Vick going forward.  I expect the Michael Vick... read more

Week 10 marks the final week of the dreaded byes.  Although it's the last bye week, it's the first that will see three top quarterbacks all being off at the same time.  Some owners will head into Sunday without Brees, Rodgers or Rivers.  It would be a good week to play these teams but most owners probably used your leagues waiver wire to pick up guys like Garrard, Freeman, Hill and Fitzpatrick.  All four will make better than solid replacements this weekend. Now this is tough for me to say because I'm a dog lover, but how good does Michael Vick look?  Is it me, or does post jail Vick, look a lot better than pre jail Vick?  During Sunday's game I kept asking myself, how are the Colts going to stop him?  He drops back 12-15 yards then simply flicks... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's heads into Week 10 and this is a tough bye week for many fantasy owner's as three elite quarterbacks are on byes this week. Fantasy owner's will be missing Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Philip Rivers this week. OUCH! That's not even mentioning the wideouts that go along with these quarterbacks such as Greg Jennings, Marques Colston, Lance Moore, any fill in the blank Charger wide receiver. DOUBLE OUCH! This week also marks the beginning of Thursday Night Football, which forces owner's to make tough decisions as to whether or not to start a player that is a little banged up. Roddy White owner's know what I'm talking about. The Player Projections for the Thursday Night Game are up in a different article. The Eight Ball will be updated after game time. This is the... read more

Ladies & Gentlemen: Start your engines!

This is the first time that I have Eli and Peyton ranked #1 & 2 in my weekly rankings.  We know what we're getting out of Peyton, but I feel Eli has emerged as a top 5 fantasy passer going forward.  The Giants are absolutlely loaded on offense and Eli should post solid numbers on a weekly basis.         1) Peyton Manning - IND - QB, vs. Cincinnati Bengals, Sun 1:00 PM 2) Eli Manning - NYG - QB, vs. Dallas Cowboys, Sun 4:15 PM 3) Michael Vick - PHI - QB, at Washington Redskins, Mon 8:30 PM 4) Kyle Orton - DEN - QB, vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sun 4:05 PM 5) Ben Roethlisberger - PIT - QB, vs. New England Patriots, Sun 8:20 PM 6) Tom Brady - NEP - QB, at Pittsburgh Steelers, Sun 8:20 PM 7) Josh Freeman - TAM - QB, vs. Carolina Panthers, Sun 1:00 PM 8)... read more

Ladies & Gentlemen: Start your engines!

This week all eyes will be on Randy Moss and the Vikings.  I really like this move for the Vikings who were in desperate need for receiver help.  Moss adds a dimension that should help open up the entire offense.  Harvin can return to his natural slot position and Peterson will face less eight man fronts.  It's win win for everyone.  Even though I love the move for the Vikings I still don't think Favre is a great play against the Jets defense this weekend.  Give Favre this Sunday and a full week of practice before inserting him into your starting line up. The other big news this week is Kevin Kolbs return to the starting spot for the Eagles.  I know he didn't look comfortable in his relief appearance against the Redskins but he should be much better this weekend.  Look for him to try and utilize Maclin and Jacksons... read more

Week 5: Player Projections

Posted by in Projections on Oct 6th 2010 and last modified on Oct 7th 2010. (Print This)

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the Week 5 Projections. It's do or die time across fantasy leagues and it could be time for many fantasy owner's to try and make a move to improve their teams. Andre Johnson owners are between a rock and a hard place because Johnson is a little nicked up and he hasn't been putting up his typical numbers. Fantasy owner's in the lower part of their league standings might need to wait to get full value for him. Other owner's will try to pounce and buy low on Johnson. With all that being said this is a critical time in the season, unless your team plays two games a week, but if you play in a one game per week league, it could be time to address some of your team's issues if you haven't done so on... read more

Week 4: Player Projections

Posted by in Projections on Oct 1st 2010 and last modified on Oct 2nd 2010. (Print This)

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the player projections in Week 4. The projections were pretty difficult this week as big names like Ray Rice and Steven Jackson will more than likely sit this week. Knowshon Moreno has already been ruled out, so Moreno owner's can thank head coach Josh McDaniels for saving us the Sunday morning headache and wonder. There are other names that look like they might be out as well, Jahvid Best and Ryan Mathews are looking like game time decisions and Fred Taylor and Clinton Portis haven't been practicing. I would expect Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis and Ryan Torain to see alot of action this week. In the receiving department Andre Johnson of the Texans still looks to be slowed by a gimpy ankle. I don't doubt that he will play through it, but it also doesn't help matters that... read more
