Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the final TE Rankings for Week 10 in the NFL. The Thursday night games have started and FFB was disappointed as we had Antonio Gates as our number one ranked TE this week. We don't know what is wrong with that team, but the window of winning is rapidly closing in the AFC West for this disappointing Charger's squad. It makes us wonder, how in the hell does Norv Turner still have a job? We are also expecting a big week out of the Packers Jermichael Finley. The Pack take on the Minnesota Vikings in a Monday night clash. Finley has been a big disappointment so far, but we think he gets on track Monday night. Here are the TE Ranks for Week 10: 1) Antonio Gates - SDC - TE, vs. Oakland Raiders, Thu 8:20 PM Gates had a statline of... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's offers our subscribers a sneak peek at the week ahead. Fantasy owner's need to remember that Thursday night football starts this week with the San Diego Chargers traveling to Oakland to take on the Raiders. It's a classic AFC West rivalry game. Antonio Gates sits atop the rankings and it seems like old times. If Gates can remain healthy, he could be a much needed boost to fantasy teams who held on to him when his season looked bleak. He should reward fantasy owner's this week as QB Philip Rivers may have finally pulled his head out of his arse, granted he did throw 3 picks. Here are the 1st Look Ranks for the TE position entering Week 10: 1) Antonio Gates - SDC - TE, vs. Oakland Raiders, Thu 8:20 PM 2) Jason Witten - DAL - TE, vs. Buffalo Bills, Sun 1:00 PM 3)... read more

Week 9 TE Ranks

Posted by in Ranks,Tight Ends on Nov 3rd 2011 and last modified on Nov 5th 2011. (Print This)

Fantasy Football Brother's takes our final look at the tight end position for Week 9. There wasn't a whole lot of movement up and down the ranks, besides us still probably overvaluing Jermichael Finley. Jimmy Graham nabs the top spot, it's getting to be pretty common to see his name there now days and we are running out of Jimmy Graham pictures. Jason Witten gets the #2 slot and let's hope the Cowboy's offense looks sharper than it did last week vs. the Philadelphia Eagles. It can't get any worse, right? There was a Brent Celek (Brotherhood favorite) sighting last week, but the Brother's love the potential of Jake Ballard. While watching tape of Jake Ballard in the lab, Bill wondered if there was anyone who plays the game more stiff than Ballard. I retorted that he has a great set of hands and... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's offers up our 1st Look Series to our subscribers. It's a good way to get a glimpse of how your team might perform come next Sunday, as well as scouting out your opponent's lineup. Jimmy Graham is at the top of the list this week and after a subpar showing last weekend, the Brother's are betting that he can't be stopped two weeks in a row. It's a law of averages really. Remember, this week is the bye weeks for the following teams: Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars. Adjust your roster accordingly. Here are the 1st Look Tight End Ranks for Week 9: 1) Jimmy Graham - NOR - TE, vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sun 1:00 PM 2) Jason Witten - DAL - TE, vs. Seattle Seahawks, Sun 1:00 PM 3) Rob Gronkowski - NEP - TE, vs. New York Giants, Sun 4:15 PM 4)... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a peek at the Week 8 Tight End Ranks. There are some notable TE's with bye weeks this week that includes: Tony Gonzalez (Falcons), Jermichael "Bust" Finley (Packers), Dustin Keller (Jets), and Kellen Winslow (Bucs). We were spot on with Jimmy Graham last week against the Colts. We would say 6 receptions for 54 yards with 2 TD's satisfied owner's last week. Graham continues to be a "beast" and he plays with a quarterback and coach who understand how to utilize his freakish abilities. This week we have Jason Witten as our top TE choice. The Eagles in the past had the linebackers that could do a decent job on Witten. This season that has been a position of concern for the Eagles. The Brother's don't see how they can address Witten doing his best work in the middle of the field with a healthy... read more

Week 6 TE Ranks

Fantasy Football Brother's offers up the final ranks heading into Week 6. The tight end postion continues to be an added bonus for fantasy owner's. But Week 5 was a rough week for a lot of highly ranked tight ends. Many struggled and many just weren't a part of their teams' game plan. Some surprised and some didn't. Some are becoming droppable and some are becoming must adds. As we have said before, we must look back before we can look forward. Here are the STUDS and DUDS of Week 5. There wasn't a lot of solid performing tight end's in Week 5, in fact it can be considered the worst week for the position this season. STUDS: Joel Dreessen-Texans-5 rec., 112 yards, 1 TD on 9 targets-WHAT? I have a feeling he could find himself in the DUDS this week. Vernon Davis-49ers-3 rec., 39 yards, 2 TD's on 3 targets-The targets are... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's offers up our First Look Series for our loyal subscriber's. It's our way of saying thank you and it helps relieve some anxiety going into next week. That way you don't go off on the guy at the water cooler who beat you because Jahvid Best had a career day! That's another story though... The tight end position has lost Antonio Gates, but it gets a shot in the arm, not that it needed one, with the return of Aaron Hernandez of the Patriots. Hernandez should be back in beast mode in no time at all. Jermaine Gresham is proving to be a top pass catcher, as is Greg Olsen is finally in an offense to utilize his skill set. I'm glad to see he didn't rot in a Mike Martz' offense in Chicago. Here are the First Look Week 6 TE Ranks: 1) Jermichael Finley... read more

Week 5 TE Ranks

Posted by in Ranks,Tight Ends on Oct 7th 2011 (Print This)

The NFL is said to be a passing league. Fantasy Football Brother's has said that before the saying became a cliche. We will go a step further. The NFL is again becoming a tight end league. As NFL offenses continue to spread the field, the tight end position offers the best chance for teams to create mismatches in the middle of the field. NFL teams and offensive coordinatoors are starting to utilize this as defenses try to keep up. In truth, they can't. One reason they can't is because these guys are athletic freaks that linebackers can't keep up with and corners can't out muscle them for position. Rob Gronkowski holds on to the top spot. A big reason why is that the Jets are reeling and their linebacker play has been less than disappointing. In short, there is no one to cover Gronkowski in the middle... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's looks at the Tight End Final Ranks for Week 4. The postion continues to be one where fantasy owner's can find extra points week to week. Antonio Gates owner's should be concerned as his foot is not getting better. There is a thought that he might miss the season if surgery is indeed necessary. We again take a look at the Studs and Duds from Week 3. As always we take a look back before we can look forward to Week 4. STUDS: Jermichael Finley-Packers-7 rec., 85 yards, 3 TD's on 8 targets-This is what Finley owner's were waiting for. Rob Gronkowski-Patriots-7rec., 109 yards, 2 TD's on 9 targets-He continues to be out of this world productive. Jimmy Graham-Saints-4 rec., 100 yards, 1 TD on 8 targets-We had him ranked number one last week and he didn't disappoint. Owen Daniels-Texans-5 rec., 76 yards, 1 TD on 9 targets-Daniels is Option... read more
