DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF WR RANKS (WEEK 19)

Fitzgerald plays his best ball in the post season.

The NFL has changed into a passing league. More and more teams are turning to shot-gun, 3 wide receiver set formations. Minnesota, New Orleans, Indy and Zona are the four best spread offenses in the league. They are super saturated with play-makers and more frequently than not, line up in 3 WR sets. Play-maker saturation leads to target dilution, but none of these squads will be playing an overly imposing defense. Divisional week should be an aerial show. The Green Bay vs. Arizona battle was one of the best playoff games the league has ever seen. Expect continued fireworks in the Divisional Match-Ups.      New Orleans vs. Arizona: We expect little defense in this one. New Orleans has done well all season in keeping opposing passer's stats down, but they will have much difficulty with Kurt Warner. If you blitz him, he'll make you pay. Anquan... read more

Reggie Wayne saw an incredible 20 targets last week. His push to be the best continues this weekend vs. the Texans.

Fridays mean Final Ranks and Write Ups. Week 9 is upon us. Despite there being six teams on byes, the wide receiver position is almost at full strength. Hester, Boldin and Calvin remain the biggest injury concerns. Calvin appears likely to go, but remains a game-time decision. Hester finally hit the practice field and is expected to start. Boldin is the biggest wild card, but even if he plays his production will be compromised. We're past the half way point and approaching the home-stretch. Playoffs are on the line - Every win counts!  Lets take a look at some key WR match-ups for this week: Wayne will continue to prove he's the safest play in the game. Welker will prove he's absolutely unstoppable. Ocho returns from the bye to face a revitalized Baltimore... read more

WR Draft Kit – Ranks and Write Ups

Wide Receiver week rolls on as our player profiles and projections are released. Elite route-runners have infiltrated the first round and dominate the 2cnd and third. The position is topped with stud performers, but the talent pool dries quickly. The First Round was once completely dominated by backs. Times have changed. The RBBC has super-saturated the position leaving few true workhorses and increasing wide receiver stock. With the majority of teams moving to a time-share style of running the ball, the quantity of runners has sky-rocketed, but the quality has been compromised. Every-down backs are a dying breed. With the second half of the first round being filled with an abundance of risky running back plays, ‘09 mock trends suggest that many are opting to go with a top-notch WR. Running back is an injury prone position, and is now one of the easiest roster spots to fill.  Most leagues have adopted some... read more

The tour of all 32 NFL teams continues today with visits with two playoff teams in 08. Our first stop brings us to the Super Bowl runner ups the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are still dealing with the huge distraction that is WR Anquan Boldin.  In Baltimore the Ravens look to rebuild on the defensive side of the ball. The defection of their Defensive Coordinator, and players favorite Rex Ryan and LB Bart Scott could effect the entire team. At Fantasy Brothers we look forward to hearing  your questions and comments. NFL TEAM: ARIZONA CARDINALS MOVES THAT MATTER: The Cards resigned QB Kurt Warner after briefly flirting with San Francisco.... Warner returns to a team that has some questions on the offensive side of the ball.... The biggest question continues to be the status of WR Anquan Boldin..... Boldin pouted in the NFC championship game and was more concerned about his... read more
