Note To Our Readers: 1ST LOOK: Ranks are for our Brotherhood All-Access Members only. Week 1 is in the books!  What have we learned?  We have learned that the defenses are ahead of the offenses. It is going to take some time and patience before we start to see things even out.  This is the time when fantasy owners need to relax, sit back and take a breath.  I would wait at least until week 3, before deciding on hitting the panic button.   Don't get me wrong, there is some concern for anyone that is a Kevin Kolb owner.  He never looked comfortable. He was hesitant and nervous and never was able to settle down and get into a rythm.  His concussion on top of Vicks above average performance in relief, should have Kolb owners concerned.  If you drafted Kolb you should have a solid back up.  If you don't have a solid back up,... read more

Ladies & Gentlemen: Start your engines!

1) Peyton Manning - IND - QB Let's thank the schedule makers for this one. Two elite quarterbacks on explosive offenses battling it out in the first week of the season. I expect nothing more than a shootout. Expect very good numbers from Peyton in this one. 2) Matt Schaub - HOU - QB Schaub will reward fantasy owners right out of the gate.  If your an owner that was smart enough to draft him as the fourth quarterback, it'll pay off early and often. This game will be a high scoring affair and Schaub will put up very nice passing totals. 3) Drew Brees - NOR - QB Brees faces a tough Vikings defense in a rematch of the NFC Championship game on Thursday night. The Vikings don't have enough skill players in the secondary to keep up with all of the Saints... read more

Sleepers & Busts

With most fantasy drafts being held over the next few weeks, you can't help but feel a certain amount of excitement starting to build.  All those endless hours of preparation will finally get put to the test.  One of my favorite parts of any draft is selecting players in the later rounds.  I can't think of a better feeling than unearthing a fantasy gem with a late round flier. To make your job easier we do our Sleepers and Busts a little different.  We cover all 32 teams and identify multiple players who we feel could have a fantasy impact.  The fact is, we've become very good at identifying these players.  Last year we recommended taking fliers on Miles Austin, Sidney Rice, Jermichael Finley and Jamaal Charles to name a few.  If you happened to land two of these... read more

QB Draft Kit week continues today with our ranks and writeups. We are also taking a look into our crystal ball and with our 2010 stat projections. There was much debate here at Fantasy Football Brothers surrounding our combined ranks. There always is when you have five guys with five different opinions. We took each of our  five individual ranks and combined them to come up with this rank. We will continuously update these ranks and projections as the NFL gets into full swing. 1) Drew Brees - NOR - QB CMP ATT PYDS PTD INT RUSH ATT RUSH YDS RUSH TD 399 585 4790 35 12 25 36 2 The reigning Super Bowl MVP enters 2010 as our #1 signal caller. After four straight 4,000 yard seasons it would be a crime not to rank Brees #1. The Saints offense comes back virtually intact so we can expect him to pass for more gaudy passing numbers in'10. The only thing hurting... read more

Nightmare vs. Dream Scenarios

The NFL Draft was full of surprises and full of Tim Tebow's family. It is sad to say that the new time slot was a hit, so I don't think they will be going back to the old format anytime soon. This was one of the deepest drafts in recent memory and you had players being taken off the board in Round 7 that could be classified as "impact" type players. Many notable players even went undrafted, only to be signed after the draft. That is a different article for a different day, but this article has to do with situations the drafted players found themselves in come draft day and how it affects you in future drafts. So take notice, because the 'Hood is Back, better than ever. Nightmare Scenarios Quarterbacks QB-Sam Bradford-St. Louis Rams-Bradford was the first pick overall. That comes with a warning since number one picks usually go to a lousy... read more

2010 May QB Rankings

Posted by in Fantasy Advice,Quarterbacks on May 14th 2010 and last modified on May 19th 2010. (Print This)

The quarterback position is typically the most important player on the football field. 99% of the time QB play is crucial to a teams overall success.  Over time the NFL has evolved into a pass first league.  Sure, you'll always find a few teams that run the ball 35-40 times a game, but the majority are spreading out the field and throwing as much or more than they run the ball.  It's a trend that will continue and is the reason why front office personnel around the league will almost always do anything to secure a top signal caller.  Teams know that without a strong quarterback there's a good chance you can kiss your playoff hopes goodbye. The same can be said with fantasy football.  Often without a top echelon quarterback leading your team, there is a decent chance you’ll miss the playoffs.  Nine out of... read more

1ST LOOK: QB RANKS WEEK 13

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Nov 30th 2009 and last modified on Dec 1st 2009. (Print This)

Week 13 is upon us!   In most fantasy leagues week 13 indicates the final week of the regular season.  If you followed us throughout the year there's a very good chance your in the playoff hunt.  If you haven't then you should bookmark our site and start preparing for next year.  Week 12 left us with a couple of major question marks.  The status of Kurt Warner and Ben Roethlisberger remains very much in the air.  Neither player played on Sunday and both have to be considered questionable heading into the weekend.  I have ranked both as if they'll play but there availability is definitley in doubt.  Warner plans to see an ophthaomologist this week because of lingering symptoms.  If he doesn't improve during the week he wont play on Sunday.  Big Ben is progressing slowly but that's how your supposed to, when you've suffered any type of head trauma.  Out of the two, I think he has a... read more

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving.  Due to the holiday schedule we'll be doing our rankings a little different this week.  Our editor gave us the holiday weekend off (Editor's Note: Your Welcome) so we wont be able to  provide you with our traditional Friday write ups. The status and news on Ben Roethlisberger and Kurt Warner has been positive throughout the week.  As of this ranking both signal callers look poised to start on Sunday.  I have had Warner ranked at #7 throughout the week because I didn't think he was in danger of missing anytime.  I was admittedly more concerned about Roethlisberger.  The knee he took to the head was flat out nasty and it looked that way when he was on the sideline.  If Charlie Batch didn't hurt his wrist I wonder if Ben would be playing?  Also just a quick thought.  Has anyone else... read more

Thursday Night Preview: Miami vs. Carolina w/ Stat Projections

Ricky Williams will take the drivers seat of Miami's Wild Cat Offense.

Yes, It's Christmas in November. Much to the disliking of our wives & girlfriends, or husbands & boyfriends for our sisters out there, Thursday Night Football has returned. As league trade deadlines approach, we sadly lose the thrill of wheeling and dealing on a weekly basis. The good news is our fantasy fix extends to three days a week. Hopefully you've made the last minute adjustments in preparation for a playoff run. As we relinquish the ability to trade, waiver wire priority begins to play a more pivotal role as teams strive for fantasy  glory. In this weeks Thursday Night Showdown, the NFL Network will host the Miami Dolphins vs. the Carolina Panthers. This would have been the ultimate tag-team title match of the best running back tandems in the league. With the injury to Ronnie Brown, Ricky Williams will look to take... read more
