My boss came to me the other day and said why would you tout yourself to subscribers we already have who can see the First Look Series. He said the point is to try and get new subscribers who can reap the benefits of all our hard work and research. So, this is basically what was written in the First Look. If you are already one of our loyal reader's, we thank you and hope the season is going well: The tight end position possibly gets Antonio Gates back this week, but we remain cautiously optimistic. The position saw the full return of Aaron Hernandez in Week 6 and he didn't disappoint. Jimmy Graham continues to be a beast and while we don't like to gloat, it's safe to say, "We told you so." Here's what we said about Graham in our Draft Kit: 6) Jimmy... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's offers up the final ranks heading into Week 6. The tight end postion continues to be an added bonus for fantasy owner's. But Week 5 was a rough week for a lot of highly ranked tight ends. Many struggled and many just weren't a part of their teams' game plan. Some surprised and some didn't. Some are becoming droppable and some are becoming must adds. As we have said before, we must look back before we can look forward. Here are the STUDS and DUDS of Week 5. There wasn't a lot of solid performing tight end's in Week 5, in fact it can be considered the worst week for the position this season. STUDS: Joel Dreessen-Texans-5 rec., 112 yards, 1 TD on 9 targets-WHAT? I have a feeling he could find himself in the DUDS this week. Vernon Davis-49ers-3 rec., 39 yards, 2 TD's on 3 targets-The targets are... read more

First Look: Week 6 TE Ranks

Posted by in 1st Look,Rank on Oct 11th 2011 (Print This)

Fantasy Football Brother's offers up our First Look Series for our loyal subscriber's. It's our way of saying thank you and it helps relieve some anxiety going into next week. That way you don't go off on the guy at the water cooler who beat you because Jahvid Best had a career day! That's another story though... The tight end position has lost Antonio Gates, but it gets a shot in the arm, not that it needed one, with the return of Aaron Hernandez of the Patriots. Hernandez should be back in beast mode in no time at all. Jermaine Gresham is proving to be a top pass catcher, as is Greg Olsen is finally in an offense to utilize his skill set. I'm glad to see he didn't rot in a Mike Martz' offense in Chicago. Here are the First Look Week 6 TE Ranks: 1) Jermichael Finley... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's looks at the Tight End Final Ranks for Week 4. The postion continues to be one where fantasy owner's can find extra points week to week. Antonio Gates owner's should be concerned as his foot is not getting better. There is a thought that he might miss the season if surgery is indeed necessary. We again take a look at the Studs and Duds from Week 3. As always we take a look back before we can look forward to Week 4. STUDS: Jermichael Finley-Packers-7 rec., 85 yards, 3 TD's on 8 targets-This is what Finley owner's were waiting for. Rob Gronkowski-Patriots-7rec., 109 yards, 2 TD's on 9 targets-He continues to be out of this world productive. Jimmy Graham-Saints-4 rec., 100 yards, 1 TD on 8 targets-We had him ranked number one last week and he didn't disappoint. Owen Daniels-Texans-5 rec., 76 yards, 1 TD on 9 targets-Daniels is Option... read more

It's Week 4 in the NFL and Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the rankings in our First Look Series. The list this week is led by the Packers' Jermichael Finley who had 3 TD's last week and looks to build on that production going forward. We had the Saints' Jimmy Graham in the top spot last week and he didn't disappoint fantasy owner's. Speaking of disappointment, Antonio Gates owner's were feeling the loss, hopefully you found a good replacement for his production, say the Steelers' Heath Miller or the Bills' Scott Chandler. Fantasy owner's should continue to monitor the status of the Charger's Antonio Gates heading into the week. This Friday these ranks will be solidified for Week 4. Here are the First Look Ranks: 1) Jermichael Finley - GRE - TE, vs. Denver Broncos, Sun 4:15 PM 2) Rob Gronkowski - NEP - TE, at Oakland Raiders, Sun 4:15 PM 3)... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the Tight End rankings for Week 3. Last week there were some disappointments in the position, but there were also some pleasant surprises. We take you through the Studs and Duds of Week 2 before we get to our Week 3 Rankings. STUDS: Tony Gonzalez-Falcons-7 rec., 83 yards, 2 TD's on 9 targets-It was nice to see the Godfather of the modern tight end back in form. Dustin Keller-Jets-6 rec., 101 yards, 1 TD on 6 targets-Keller has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy owner's so far. The Jets run game is struggling and Keller is reaping the benefits. Fred Davis-Redskins-6 rec., 86 yards, 1 TD on 7 targets-If Davis is still on your league's waiver wire, go get him now. Rob Gronkowski-Patriots-4 rec., 86 yards, 2 TD's on 6 targets-This is getting to be a weekly thing, we just wonder how he... read more

The Brotherhood is still waiting for all of the dust to settle after a wild week two. Week two was just as ugly as week one. Injuries are starting to ravage what was an already shallow crop of elite WRs.Marques Colston, Brandon Lloyd,Sydney Rice and Dez Bryant missed week two. Hakeem Nicks and Steve Johnson were playing injured, Malcom Floyd, Mario Manningham and Miles Austin got injured. Percy Harvin and Lance Moore barely played. I won't even get into the disappearance of the elite TEs. Antonio Gates,Vernon Davis, Lance Kendricks and Owen Daniels combined for 6 catches in week two.  RB Felix Jones got banged up and Jamaal Charles was lost for the season. What does all of this mean? Well the law of averages needs to be taken into account here. The top 10 QBs... read more

First Look: Week 3 TE Ranks

(1ST LOOK is available only to Brotherhood All-Access Members.) Every Tuesday the Brotherhood takes a 1ST Look at this weeks upcoming ranks. Even though these ranks are not set in stone it is always good idea to start planning ahead. We offer the earliest look at your team's ranks in the industry. On Friday we will post our our final ranks for Week 3. The TE position continues to be a place where fantasy owner's can find extra points on their rosters. There are some guys who have surprised this season (Scott Chandler) and there are guys who have been disappointing (Antonio Gates). There are also guys that have vaulted themselves into the discussion as elite TE's (Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski). Speaking of Aaron Hernandez, he will miss time with a knee injury. This will undoubtedly hurt fantasy owner's, but the position is deep enough that a suitable... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's goes into Week 2 and I don't know how many of you have noticed, but there has been a re-birth at the TE position. The NFL has undoubtedly become a passing league and offenses are spreading defenses out, which in turn creates mismatches. This is extremely beneficial to the TE position which boasts super athletic freakish athletes who can't be covered by linebackers and corners. They are open field assassins who work in the seams of a defense. The Brother's have preached the Big 4 (Gates, Witten, Clark, and Davis), but the way the 2011 NFL Season has started that number could significantly grow into the Super 8 or the Elite 9 status. Before we look ahead, we take a look back at Week 1's STUDS and DUDS. STUDS: 1. Aaron Hernandez-Patriots-7 rec., 103 yards, 1 TD on 10 targets-Hernandez seems to be developing into a... read more
