1) Peyton Manning - IND - QB Let's thank the schedule makers for this one. Two elite quarterbacks on explosive offenses battling it out in the first week of the season. I expect nothing more than a shootout. Expect very good numbers from Peyton in this one. 2) Matt Schaub - HOU - QB Schaub will reward fantasy owners right out of the gate. If your an owner that was smart enough to draft him as the fourth quarterback, it'll pay off early and often. This game will be a high scoring affair and Schaub will put up very nice passing totals. 3) Drew Brees - NOR - QB Brees faces a tough Vikings defense in a rematch of the NFC Championship game on Thursday night. The Vikings don't have enough skill players in the secondary to keep up with all of the Saints... read more

A top 200 ranking is an essential tool that every fantasy owner should use to help dominate their draft. It helps owners gauge a players overall value instead of his positional value. As usual, we went a little bit deeper and ranked the top 240 players. We feel it was important to rank every player that could become relevant at some point during the season. I left out defenses and kickers because my colleague Rob has already covered them extensively in his positional write ups. We will continue to update these rankings as the season approaches. Top 240 1) Chris Johnson - TEN - RB 2) Adrian Peterson - MIN - RB 3) Maurice Jones-Drew - JAC - RB 4) Ray Rice - BAL - RB 5) Frank Gore - SFO - RB 6) Andre Johnson - HOU - WR 7) Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB 8) Michael Turner - ATL - RB 9) Drew Brees - NOR -... read more

Many fantasy owner's play in keeper leagues. Every year we must decide what player is the best fit for our team. This can be decided by many different things, but in keeper league's age can be a deciding factor. Some keeper league's only keep one player. I play in a league where we keep eight player's, so deciding who to keep and when to let them walk is a big decision. It can burn your roster for year's to come and regret can set in. Yes, there is such a thing as rebuilding in these kinds of keeper leagues. So below is a list of the quarterbacks that have the most value in keeper league systems. Keeper League Quarterback Ranks 1) Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB 2) Drew Brees - NOR - QB 3) Peyton Manning - IND - QB 4) Tony Romo - DAL... read more

QB Draft Kit week continues today with our ranks and writeups. We are also taking a look into our crystal ball and with our 2010 stat projections. There was much debate here at Fantasy Football Brothers surrounding our combined ranks. There always is when you have five guys with five different opinions. We took each of our five individual ranks and combined them to come up with this rank. We will continuously update these ranks and projections as the NFL gets into full swing. 1) Drew Brees - NOR - QB CMP ATT PYDS PTD INT RUSH ATT RUSH YDS RUSH TD 399 585 4790 35 12 25 36 2 The reigning Super Bowl MVP enters 2010 as our #1 signal caller. After four straight 4,000 yard seasons it would be a crime not to rank Brees #1. The Saints offense comes back virtually intact so we can expect him to pass for more gaudy passing numbers in'10. The only thing hurting... read more

The quarterback position is typically the most important player on the football field. 99% of the time QB play is crucial to a teams overall success. Over time the NFL has evolved into a pass first league. Sure, you'll always find a few teams that run the ball 35-40 times a game, but the majority are spreading out the field and throwing as much or more than they run the ball. It's a trend that will continue and is the reason why front office personnel around the league will almost always do anything to secure a top signal caller. Teams know that without a strong quarterback there's a good chance you can kiss your playoff hopes goodbye. The same can be said with fantasy football. Often without a top echelon quarterback leading your team, there is a decent chance you’ll miss the playoffs. Nine out of... read more

This week the Brotherhood will be releasing our 1st LOOK at the 2010 dynasty rankings. We know the season isn't technically over, but we also know how important it is to stay ahead of the competition. There is nothing wrong with starting your prep work a little early. We're going to kick off this week with the quarterbacks. This is how I would rank and value these players if I had to select my keepers today. These rankings will change throughout the off-season. Some teams are going to improve through the draft and free agency and others are going to lose key players. Philip Rivers is a good example of a player who could find himself losing several key members of the Chargers offense. The San Diego front office has a lot of decisions to make this off-season. Do they resign Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd and LaDainian Tomlinson? If they... read more

In case you haven't heard the NFL combine kicks off this week. All eyes will be tuned into the annual event that is quickly becoming must see t.v.. In fact the NFL has given out more than 620 media credentials and the NFL network has reportedly sent 21 employees to cover the event. Wow! That’s a lot of media personnel considering the players themselves won’t even be wearing pads. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the combine and an even bigger fan of the NFL draft. I have watched every draft since I was 12 years old. I gush over forty times and love sitting down with the other Brotherhood writers evaluating players and breaking down game film. I know it does not matter what round these players get selected, the important part... read more

With the wild card round in the rear view mirror now, we're left with eight teams battling for divisional supremacy. The eight teams left leave us with a healthy batch of quarterbacks entering different paths in their careers. As many as four are destined for the hall of fame and will look to continue building there legacy. Two are striving to take the next step in an attempt to move into the top tier while the last two guys are simply out to make a name for themselves. We should take a moment and reflect on how special this group of quarterbacks truly is. We'll start at the top with Warner and Favre. Both are sure bets to make the hall and could be playing in their last games respectively. Warner is... read more

The regular season of Fantasy Football is over, but that doesn't mean the season is over. Fantasy Football Brothers takes a look at the Quarterback rankings for 2009 Playoff Leagues and these rankings are done by a last man standing type rules. This of course means the highest ranked players we believe will go the furthest in the NFL Playoffs. If you own Peyton Manning and the Colts are knocked out, you are done with scoring points from the Quarterback position. While we don't think this will be the case, you never know, anything can happen in the post-season. Playoff Leagues draft only one player at a position and no moves are allowed, again your player gets knocked out and he is done, that is where the last man standing comes in. Leagues usually run with the basic 1-QB<--->2-RB<--->2-WR<--->1-RB/WR<--->1-TE<--->1-K<--->1-D/ST type roster. Have a... read more
