Fantasy Football Brother's rolls into Week 13 and we present our player projections. There are many notable names missing due to injury and if you have Vincent Jackson or Frank Gore, you'll see they are not included in the projections this week. Which leads me to Jackson. How many owner's had him in their starting lineup after being patient with him all year? All season long he took up a roster spot, yet we stuck by him hoping to eventually cash in on the promise of having him back come fantasy playoffs. Now, his calf injury will set him back some and I have to wonder if he is really injured or if this is just a big F.U. to general manager A.J. Smith? Either way if you started Jackson last week, you came up disappointed, myself included. Frank Gore on the other hand was... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's heads into Week 12 and we hope everyone had a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. The slate of games was pretty decent and the best game of the night belonged to the Cowboys and Saints. It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys mail it in for the rest of the season or if they decide to play the role of spoiler. If you haven't taken advantage of our services now is the time as we head towards the fantasy playoffs. You don't want to sacrifice all of your league's riches because you didn't want to pay the price of a six pack at the store. Well some might, but for most of us it's what keeps the better half at bay for another year. The fact that you can show him/her that money can actually be made is priceless. Buy... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's heads into Week 11 with our eye on the playoffs. This is make or break time for many fantasy teams across the country. If you haven't taken advantage of our services, what are you waiting for? We will answer all questions fantasy related and our Eight Ball Tool helps owner's with tough lineup choices. Week 11 means there are no more bye weeks. Which means two things, one, the projections are a daunting task, and two, NFL teams no longer have a chance to get fully healthy from here on out. This is where depth can win you a fantasy title. This is the reason why handcuffs are so important for your studs. Ask yourself, if Ahmad Bradshaw goes down, was I smart enough to grab Brandon Jacobs? or do I have another back that... read more

Week 9 TE Rankings are here, and yet there are a few major questions left unanswered.  Will Gates, and Miller play??   Are their injuries severe enough to warrant a spot on the bench?  Read up, and stay tuned to the Fantasy Brothers Sunday Update for the final Start-em Sit-em answers. 1) Antonio Gates - SDC - TE, at Houston Texans, Sun 1:00 PM Gates is clearly the best TE in the league this year, but his foot and ankle injuries continue to plague him. He hasn't practiced all week, and he is once again listed as questionable. Expect another game-time decision, and if there is even a remote chance of him playing, you should start him! 2) Zach Miller - OAK - TE, vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sun 4:15 PM Miller is also... read more

Week 9 TE ranks are here!   And there are a few notable this week...   Tamme had a nice game for Indy, so that is certainly worth mentioning (and his rank is the result) and Marcedes Lewis continues to be a nice option in TD heavy leagues.   Just be careful of the Jags Jeckl and Hyde offense!  Look for the studs to all do well this week, and Greg Olsen has a nice matchup if your looking for a fill-in for Vernon Davis this week. 1) Antonio Gates - SDC - TE, at Houston Texans, Sun 1:00 PM 2) Zach Miller - OAK - TE, vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sun 4:15 PM 3) Jason Witten - DAL - TE, at Green Bay Packers, Sun 8:20 PM 4) Tony Gonzalez - ATL - TE, vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sun 1:00 PM 5) Jacob Tamme - IND - TE, at Philadelphia Eagles, Sun 4:15 PM 6) Todd Heap - BAL... read more

Week 8 has some great matchups for Fantasy Guru's to exploit!  There will also be some big question marks.  The biggest question out there is Indy's Jacob Tamme.  Can he become the Dallas Clark type of TE that fantasy owners drool over?  My thought is that it will take some time, and this week will be a struggle.  (Imagine the pressure on him to perform!  Yikes..)  If your looking for a go to guy this week, I think Cooley and Witten have the most potential.  Yes, I know those guys are already on someone else's fantasy team...  So how about Kellen Winslow or Tony Moeaki??  Or if you have the guts to gamble with Peyton Manning as your Ace in the hole try Tamme and prove me wrong! 1) Antonio Gates - SDC - TE, vs. Tennessee Titans, Sun 4:05 PM Gates played injured last... read more

Bye weeks and injuries seem to have limited the TE stash to just a few remaining gems.  Hopefully you can manage to use the waiver wire effectively in order to keep your team above water.  Week 8 matchups play a decent role in the ranks this week, as some of the less appealing TE's have some potential.  Stay tuned for Friday's write-ups with all the good details. 1) Antonio Gates - SDC - TE, vs. Tennessee Titans, Sun 4:05 PM 2) Zach Miller - OAK - TE, vs. Seattle Seahawks, Sun 4:15 PM 3) Chris Cooley - WAS - TE, at Detroit Lions, Sun 1:00 PM 4) Vernon Davis - SFO - TE, vs. Denver Broncos, Sun 1:00 PM 5) Jason Witten - DAL - TE, vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, Sun 1:00 PM 6) Heath Miller - PIT - TE, at New Orleans Saints, Sun 8:20 PM 7) Kellen Winslow - TAM - TE, at Arizona Cardinals, Sun 4:15 PM 8) Brandon Pettigrew -... read more

2010 May TE Rankings

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on May 27th 2010 (Print This)

With OTA’s underway, and fantasy football fanatics gearing up for their respective drafts, it’s now time for true in-depth ranks.  Today, we will take a look at the Tight End (TE) position.  As you may or may not know, injuries seem to be the talk of the town for TE’s lately.  Big names like Antonio Gates, Owen Daniels, and Kellen Winslow are all finding themselves on injury reports, which in turn seems to be having dramatic effects on rank boards.  Some of these guys are IR junkies, but others are worth keeping an eye on.    Antonio Gates seems to be the most closely watched due mostly to the fact that he has the most to lose!  His nagging foot and ankle injuries are nothing new, and don’t seem to effect his time on the field, but... read more
