Week ten is the odd week of the NFL schedule. All 32 NFL teams will be in action for the first time since week 4. Even though in week 11, the last four teams have their bye weeks. It is also the start of Thursday night football. The slate of Thursday night games other than the Thanksgiving games have been well... Not so great. It is a good thing since half of the country couldn't even watch those games because they are on the NFL network. I can tell you, that you didn't miss anything. Starting this Thursday there is actually a decent matchup. The Raiders coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Tebowing Broncos and the Chargers who are on the tour of misery 2011. Flash... read more

We enter week 8 dealing with all sort of things that have been making a mess of your fantasy squad. Things like bye weeks, injuries and then the under performers. There have been some disappointing RBs this season but that is to be expected. This happens every season. The majority of time you can almost always categorize the reasons for under-performing into two categories. Injuries and age. Then there is the third category. The there is something very wrong but we don't know what category. Titans Chris Johnson is the epitome of this last group. Currently Chris Johnson is 32nd in the NFL in rushing with 268 yards, only 2 yards ahead of QB Cam Newton. Rookie RB DeMarco Murray ran for 253 yards in week 7. Johnson's 44 yards per game is good enough to rank 32nd. his 2.9 yards per carry... read more

Forget the bye week blues, owners were suffering from the black and blue blues. I was also effected by this in week 7. To be more specific along with my two starting running back my fantasy season with friends just went down the toilet. My chances of finishing .500 or better let alone winning my league with freinds was all but shot by 1:20 p.m. Sunday afternoon. I lost Marshawn Lynch before he even dressed for the game after being a late scratch and then I lose Earnest Graham for the season after just 3 measly touches. There were R.I.P. jokes about my team on the League message board, mostly sent in by me. You can only laugh when you get 3 touches from two of your starting RBs. There were a ton... read more

Week 7 means we have hit the middle of the NFL bye weeks. NFL Bye weeks lead to the emergence of some unlikely players. Owners are forced to reach and build up players that if the bye weeks were already over these players would likely be a mere after thought. Like the saying goes necessity is the mother of invention. These players have emerged as potential BOOM or bust: RB Jackie Battle KC- Battle is a 6 footer that weighs almost 240 pounds. He was timed around 4.3 in the forty yard dash before being drafted. He did well in a run and shoot offense. I have written this a million times in my answers to our subscribers when asking whether Battle is worthy of a start. His skill set is off the charts. On the... read more

Tuesdays means the Brotherhood takes our early 1ST LOOK at all of the important fantasy skill positions. Here we take a look at the backs. Two more starting RBs went down on Sunday and their availability for week 7 doesn't look to great. Cowboys RB Felix Jones likely suffered a high ankle sprain which is never good for a back. In Detroit Jahvid Best had his bell rung. He has a long history of head injuries dating back to college, Best owners should be pretty concerned. With the bye weeks going the talent at RB is getting paper thin. RB LaGarrette Blount will likely be out again this week leaving Earnest Graham to carry the rock. He looked pretty good last week and even better in a PPR league. In Indy after I bashed RB Donald Brown for being a bust... read more

Back To Back RBs? At the end of a long week we have just what you need to start the weekend off right. Positional ranks! We are entering week two of the NFL bye week season and the talent at RB is thinning out. We have been debating at the Brotherhood HQ whether we would draft our teams differently if we could. The answer is probably. Here is why. For statistical purposes lets use a half point PPR league scoring format so that both sides of the scoring league setup can get a feel for the stats I am going to use. Using a half point PPR scoring league to make a general point. About 70% of the top twelve highest average scoring RBs were ranked in our top 12... read more

It's official the RB position is impossible to figure out. Ok well not really but the hyperbole is a nice touch by me. If I asked you to name every RB that is in the top ten in rushing yards, how many could you name? Or if I told you that there are 23 RBs that have scored two or more rushing touchdowns this season but Arian Foster, Cedric Benson and Matt Forte are not on that list. Or that DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart have a total of one rushing touchdown between them. What's my point? There is a reason why we encourage owners to make sure that they hit at the RB position on draft night. It is very important just look at who is leading your fantasy league and who is on their roster. The... read more

The Brotherhood rolls into the Bye weeks as the fantasy season is flying right along. It feels like only last week, when we all were wondering if there would even be a season. This weeks write up will be much shorter due to on going festivities and preparation for a Fantasy Brother wedding. FB Paul ties the knot, gets hitched, attaches the ball and chain tomorrow and every other cliche available. I would like to congratulate Paul and wish him and his lovely bride all the love and happiness that they could ever want. Cleveland, Dallas, Miami,St. Louis,Washington and Baltimore are all on bye weeks. Which means the percentage of RB1s available just went down by at least 2o%. The good news is the early bye allows Peyton Hillis, Daniel Thomas and Steven Jackson... read more

Every Tuesday the Brotherhood unleashes our Members only 1ST LOOK: Ranks. Depending on your league scoring you saw a ton of scoring from your RBs. The Running Backs have taken a backseat so far early on in the season to high flying pass offenses. We finally saw the elite backs make some noise on the field instead of on the trainers table. Even though RB Frank Gore didn't get the start, owners that took the risk, were rewarded with his best game by far of the early season. It took a full month but RB Chris Johnson finally broke the century mark. RB Steven Jackson returned to lineups and put up decent numbers, playing his first full game of the season. RB Fred Jackson continues to stay hot after piling up 98 total yards... read more
