With the fantasy playoffs just around the corner owner's of Frank Gore and Adrian Peterson realized the cruel fate that is fantasy football. In one instance your elite running back can be lost for the season. If your a Gore owner there is nothing wrong with entering into full fledged panic mode. As most of you already know Gore was lost for the year after suffering a hip injury on Monday night. Peterson owners fared a little better as he's set to return this week after suffering what's reported as an ankle sprain. Your league's waiver wire should have been pretty quiet over the last few weeks. However, this week should be a little different. Most owner's will be scrambling to pick up Toby Gerhart, Brian Westbrook and Anthony Dixon. All three backs will make... read more

It would seem that for some we are entering into unlucky week 13. For most of us we are a week away from the start of our playoff runs. The things that have unfolded in week 12, make week 13 a potential make or break week. Not necessarily because of wins and losses but because of who plays where. Not since week 1 of the NFL season has there been this many unknowns heading into a week let alone a week before the playoffs starts. (Playoffs!?!) Frank Gore reportedly has a broken hip and will be out for the season. Nice news to wake up to this morning if you are a Gore owner. Brian Westbrook becomes a must own in every league, as does Anthony Dixon. Westbrook has the potential to allow an owner to steal a league title.... read more

Note To Our Readers: 1ST LOOK: Ranks are for our Brotherhood All-Access Members only. The RB ranks are part of our free trial so that our readers can sample the 1ST LOOK: We kick off week 2 with our 1ST LOOK looking at the RB matchups. Week 1 left more people scratching there heads than there were at the end of Inception. By the way if you haven't seen it, go see it especially if it is still an IMAX. Ok enough from our sponsors, we don't even get paid for that plug, but the movie is that good. Listen first things first, remember the beginning of the season is the time of panic, relax it's week one. You are not really going to know what kind of team you have until a month from now. Owners are questioning every pick that didn't meet... read more

With my last draft tonight, the summer season of fun is officially now coming to an end. The endless hours of phone conversations like a teenage girl talking about who you like better. Team Brees or team Rodgers? The endless debates about when to draft a WR. The hundreds of mock drafts semi-completed. The thousands of trees that were cut down for all the print outs and magazines that you have read. And of course the million stink eyes received from the future ex-wife when the word football was whispered. Ah tis the season. Until next spring when we do it again. The season kicks off for real tomorrow night in New Orleans and these ranks are for standard scoring leagues. We will begin our in-season content starting on Monday with our 1ST LOOK with Injuries. Tuesday will... read more

A top 200 ranking is an essential tool that every fantasy owner should use to help dominate their draft. It helps owners gauge a players overall value instead of his positional value. As usual, we went a little bit deeper and ranked the top 240 players. We feel it was important to rank every player that could become relevant at some point during the season. I left out defenses and kickers because my colleague Rob has already covered them extensively in his positional write ups. We will continue to update these rankings as the season approaches. Top 240 1) Chris Johnson - TEN - RB 2) Adrian Peterson - MIN - RB 3) Maurice Jones-Drew - JAC - RB 4) Ray Rice - BAL - RB 5) Frank Gore - SFO - RB 6) Andre Johnson - HOU - WR 7) Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB 8) Michael Turner - ATL - RB 9) Drew Brees - NOR -... read more

Don’t forget the Brotherhood All-Access Membership is here. Dominate your draft with our customized league scoring draft tool. Have a question, bounce it off of us before you make a final decision on trades or player pickups. We are here to help you win a title. The Brotherhood has been hard at work with our draft kit roll out. Last week we ranked all of the RBs and this is our combined ranks. There was a ton of debate here as usual with fists being pounded on the table and lots of spirited discussion to put it mildly. We will be updating our positional ranks early and often as we head towards the start of the season. And as a note to the reader, even though there are some injuries already, we are not going to move the players up and down the ranks due to a minor injury. *Asterisks Are Next... read more

In case you haven't heard the NFL combine kicks off this week. All eyes will be tuned into the annual event that is quickly becoming must see t.v.. In fact the NFL has given out more than 620 media credentials and the NFL network has reportedly sent 21 employees to cover the event. Wow! That’s a lot of media personnel considering the players themselves won’t even be wearing pads. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the combine and an even bigger fan of the NFL draft. I have watched every draft since I was 12 years old. I gush over forty times and love sitting down with the other Brotherhood writers evaluating players and breaking down game film. I know it does not matter what round these players get selected, the important part... read more
