Happy New Year to all of our family, friends and readers. Most leagues are done but there are some that are still playing. For those that play in week 17, first I would like to offer my condolences, because no league should play in week 17.  Week 17 inevitably leads to you playing a full 15 week season. that ultimately gets decided by a potentially gut wrenching who plays for how long roulette. That just straight up sucks. The good news is this year there is still plenty that is being played for including rushing titles. There are four backs that are within 130 yard of the title and anything is possible. Maurice Jones-Drew has already been ruled out this week which now leaves four vieing... read more

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of  our friends and family. For a select few it is championship weekend, for others it is a time to reflect on why I didn't join the Brotherhood. All jokes (Not really a joke)aside, it call comes down to this weekend. We wish you all the best this weekend as we are rooting for all of our readers, unless we are squaring off against them this weekend. Arian Foster has a great matchup this weekend against the Broncos. Denver has allowed something like 400 rushing touchdowns (It's really 22)this season to opposing backs. Darren McFadden is built perfectly to take advantage of the Colts defense. Big,strong and fast backs always give Indy fits. Jamaal Charles is less than 40 yards rushing behind the NFL leader, despite having almost 75 less carries on... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's welcomes you to the end of the road. If you have made it here, congratulations, pat yourself on the back and tell everyone you know that you are in the championship game. Okay, skip that last part, because frankly, no one cares but you and us. The truth is if you made it this far, relish the feeling, because it's almost like the SuperBowl in that teams just don't go back regularly. Not everyone can be the New England Patriots or Pittsburgh Steelers, there has to be a doormat team every year. Look at the Carolina Panthers, they went to a SuperBowl and I don't think they will be going back for a long, long time. The same can be said about the Seattle Seahawks, they once went to the big... read more

Week 15: Player Projections (Playoff Edition)

Week 14 has come and gone and for many of us it was an extreme disappointment. The fact that Jay Feely, a kicker, a kicker for Pete's sake outscored Aaron Rodgers and Adrian Peterson combined is a complete travesty. It was another weird chapter in the NFL Season, but in fantasy terms it stayed true to the story that has played out all year. What do I mean you ask? I mean if you had a lineup of Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson, Arian Foster, Greg Jennings, Brandon Lloyd, Jacob Tamme, Mason Crosby, and any defense, you probably lost out to a chump that had Jason Campbell, Tim Hightower, Ryan Torain, Santana Moss, Derrick Mason, Jason Witten, Jay Feely, and any defense. It was that type of week and it's one I would like to forget. Unfortunately, I can't. I can't stand the fact... read more

It was a very tough week for the RBs in week 14. If you are still reading this you probably owned one of these backs. Only 5 backs ranked in the top 30 in week 14 scoring. Darren McFadden,Chris Johnson and Michael Turner blew up big time and as expected. After those top 12 ranked guys, it was Tim Hightower coming back from the dead (again), he likely sat on everyone's bench with a 146 yard two touchdown performance. Ryan Torain came back with a bang, and I know that if you saw the ticker crawling across the bottom of the screen Sunday, you likely thought his 100 plus yards rushing was a mistake. Afraid not. Maurice Jones-Drew had another good game, to go along with the now it's official the smoking hot ground... read more

Week 14: RB Ranks & Write Ups (Fantasy Playoff Edition)

For those of you that have been with us from the beginning, you know that our most important rule of thumb is "Always Start Your Studs".  Owner's never need help with who to start when it's Adrian Peterson or Steven Jackson. The hard questions are players like Brandon Jacobs and/or Ahmad Bradshaw!  Should you start LeGarrette Blount or Jonathan Stewart?  Should you take a flier on James Starks this week against the Lions?  So...  For this week, the studs will get less attention and we will instead take a peek at the guys that can steal wins and trophies from other owners that are considered the favorites in your league. In one of my leagues I was absolutely asleep at the wheel and had an awful draft. But with smart matchup plays and using the waiver wire to my... read more

Week 14: Player Projections

Fantasy Football Brother's rolls into the playoffs after a long season that was beyond crazy. We all need to take a quick breath to collect ourselves, then it's time to get back to work. This is where all your hard work as an owner pays off. This is why we play the game, whether for pride or for the love of money, it's what we do from here on out that matters. The one notable thing about doing the player projections is noticing how many player's in the NFL are hurt and of those players how many are fantasy stars. Fantasy owner's who have had their "studs" go down will have to rely on the waiver wire, which is why we are here. We have recommended player's throughout the season that have helped owner's get through injuries. It's what we do and we love... read more

Last night ended the regular season for most fantasy owners. The Jets took in the mouth last night, and hopefully all of your opponents did as well. Our readers are checking in letting us know how they did this season and how many leagues they made the playoffs in. The Brotherhood would like to congratulate all of you on making the playoffs. Now is the time to get ready to take down the trophy and hopefully earn some extra Christmas cash!! There are plenty of injury scenarios that are about to come into play. The expected return of Pierre Thomas ,severely hurts Chris Ivory's rank and also potential this week. This will be a wait and see. The Redskins have begun to play running back roulette with James... read more

Week 13 RB Ranks & Write Ups

Posted by in Ranks,Running Backs on Dec 3rd 2010 and last modified on Dec 4th 2010. (Print This)

Week 13 is the last week of most fantasy football regular seasons. Owners are going over the thousand things that need to happen so that your team can squeeze into the playoffs. You are talking yourself into all sorts of crazy scenario's. I once said to a friend during the 4 p.m. games that if you are wishing for over time to happen so that your players can score more points (you all have been in this boat, including me, my favorite is the bargaining you start doing in your head. ) you are better off wishing to see a leprechaun at the end of the rainbow with a pot of gold, Either way good luck. The biggest thing owners are facing is the potential return of injured starters. Take a bow Pierre Thomas.  Wave to the crowd, Jonathan Stewart, Put the spotlight on Ryan... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's rolls into Week 13 and we present our player projections. There are many notable names missing due to injury and if you have Vincent Jackson or Frank Gore, you'll see they are not included in the projections this week. Which leads me to Jackson. How many owner's had him in their starting lineup after being patient with him all year? All season long he took up a roster spot, yet we stuck by him hoping to eventually cash in on the promise of having him back come fantasy playoffs. Now, his calf injury will set him back some and I have to wonder if he is really injured or if this is just a big F.U. to general manager A.J. Smith? Either way if you started Jackson last week, you came up disappointed, myself included. Frank Gore on the other hand was... read more
