Every Monday the Brotherhood takes a look around the NFL in search of players who could help you win a fantasy title. In this weeks installment of 1ST LOOK Waivers I listed players that are unowned in a percentage of fantasy leagues. Some of these guys have gained significant value and are sure to have a fantasy impact over the next few weeks. I know we love our studs, but more often than not it's an unknown who happens to bring home the title. If your reading this, there's a good chance you own Peyton Manning or any of the other Colt's skill players. Championships are won and lost on the wire. As the season presses on, players begin to wear down. Game after game the hits pile on leaving your stars prone to injury. Teams struggle to fill every starting position with the best possible play-maker. The silver lining to any injury is that someone gets to step up. With injury comes opportunity. Some of the backfields this season have been a game of ring-around the rosy. Muddled backfields lead to fantasy head aches, but if you can grab the prized pony before your competitors, you can provide your squad with much needed insurance. Championships are won and lost on the wire. As the season winds down, the options begin to dwindle, but there are still play-makers available to fill voids in your roster. The Quarterback position has experienced the most injuries as of late. Losing your signal caller can be a devastating blow, but there are viable options still out there. Filling your WR3 or flex spot is often the hardest decision you face on a week to week basis. There are those players that are non-existent for the majority of the season, but then step up in the clutch. Consistency is hard to gauge, but the roll of the dice is what makes fantasy football so interesting. Was it Back to the Future this weekend in the NFL? Did Terrell Owens and Greg Jennings find Doc Brown and the Delorean and travel back in time? Wow! Not only an outdated movie reference but a T.O. sighting. Owens bounced back in a big way, but it wasn't before most owners had already dropped him. I don't think he should be penciled in as your WR2 but he should be added to your roster. He is almost worth considering as a weekly option. I'm curious to see what he'll do for an encore. Greg Jennings was considered a top 10 WR at the beginning of this year and he finally showed up in Week 11. We take a look at the Waiver wire today in what will be a very important one after 3 top ten running backs went down, and add in two more top 25 running backs and you have fantasy mayhem. Compounding the problem is that most leagues trade deadlines have already passed, leaving owners praying for a high waiver wire position and lazy owners ahead of them.
