Fantasy Football Brother's offers up the final ranks heading into Week 6. The tight end postion continues to be an added bonus for fantasy owner's. But Week 5 was a rough week for a lot of highly ranked tight ends. Many struggled and many just weren't a part of their teams' game plan. Some surprised and some didn't. Some are becoming droppable and some are becoming must adds. As we have said before, we must look back before we can look forward. Here are the STUDS and DUDS of Week 5. There wasn't a lot of solid performing tight end's in Week 5, in fact it can be considered the worst week for the position this season. STUDS: Joel Dreessen-Texans-5 rec., 112 yards, 1 TD on 9 targets-WHAT? I have a feeling he could find himself in the DUDS this week. Vernon Davis-49ers-3 rec., 39 yards, 2 TD's on 3 targets-The targets are... read more

The NFL is said to be a passing league. Fantasy Football Brother's has said that before the saying became a cliche. We will go a step further. The NFL is again becoming a tight end league. As NFL offenses continue to spread the field, the tight end position offers the best chance for teams to create mismatches in the middle of the field. NFL teams and offensive coordinatoors are starting to utilize this as defenses try to keep up. In truth, they can't. One reason they can't is because these guys are athletic freaks that linebackers can't keep up with and corners can't out muscle them for position. Rob Gronkowski holds on to the top spot. A big reason why is that the Jets are reeling and their linebacker play has been less than disappointing. In short, there is no one to cover Gronkowski in the middle... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's looks at the Tight End Final Ranks for Week 4. The postion continues to be one where fantasy owner's can find extra points week to week. Antonio Gates owner's should be concerned as his foot is not getting better. There is a thought that he might miss the season if surgery is indeed necessary. We again take a look at the Studs and Duds from Week 3. As always we take a look back before we can look forward to Week 4. STUDS: Jermichael Finley-Packers-7 rec., 85 yards, 3 TD's on 8 targets-This is what Finley owner's were waiting for. Rob Gronkowski-Patriots-7rec., 109 yards, 2 TD's on 9 targets-He continues to be out of this world productive. Jimmy Graham-Saints-4 rec., 100 yards, 1 TD on 8 targets-We had him ranked number one last week and he didn't disappoint. Owen Daniels-Texans-5 rec., 76 yards, 1 TD on 9 targets-Daniels is Option... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the Tight End rankings for Week 3. Last week there were some disappointments in the position, but there were also some pleasant surprises. We take you through the Studs and Duds of Week 2 before we get to our Week 3 Rankings. STUDS: Tony Gonzalez-Falcons-7 rec., 83 yards, 2 TD's on 9 targets-It was nice to see the Godfather of the modern tight end back in form. Dustin Keller-Jets-6 rec., 101 yards, 1 TD on 6 targets-Keller has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy owner's so far. The Jets run game is struggling and Keller is reaping the benefits. Fred Davis-Redskins-6 rec., 86 yards, 1 TD on 7 targets-If Davis is still on your league's waiver wire, go get him now. Rob Gronkowski-Patriots-4 rec., 86 yards, 2 TD's on 6 targets-This is getting to be a weekly thing, we just wonder how he... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's goes into Week 2 and I don't know how many of you have noticed, but there has been a re-birth at the TE position. The NFL has undoubtedly become a passing league and offenses are spreading defenses out, which in turn creates mismatches. This is extremely beneficial to the TE position which boasts super athletic freakish athletes who can't be covered by linebackers and corners. They are open field assassins who work in the seams of a defense. The Brother's have preached the Big 4 (Gates, Witten, Clark, and Davis), but the way the 2011 NFL Season has started that number could significantly grow into the Super 8 or the Elite 9 status. Before we look ahead, we take a look back at Week 1's STUDS and DUDS. STUDS: 1. Aaron Hernandez-Patriots-7 rec., 103 yards, 1 TD on 10 targets-Hernandez seems to be developing into a... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's kicks off Week 1 of the NFL Season and what a better way to start than a Thursday Night clash between the reigning Super Bowl Champions Green Bay Packers and the New Orleans Saints. Many fantasy owner's will be waiting to see how Jermichael Finley and Jimmy Graham do in their opening game. Finley goes into Thursday night's matchup with a minor ankle injury, hopefully this isn't the start to a long line of injuries for Finley. We hope your draft went smoothly and you're happy with your team heading into the 2011 season, so let's get to the Week 1 Tight End Rankings. Let's get to the ranks: 1) Antonio Gates - SDC - TE 2) Jason Witten - DAL - TE 3) Vernon Davis - SFO - TE 4) Jermichael Finley - GRE - TE 5) Dallas Clark - IND - TE 6) Owen... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the tight end position heading into 2011. While not a deep position overall, there are a lot of solid options throughout these ranks. What does this mean to us as fantasy owners? It means a wise draft strategy is at play here. You can select one of the top or elite TE's such as Antonio Gates, Jason Witten, Dallas Clark or Vernon Davis earlier in the draft. After all their production is at WR1 status, so why reach on a WR2 when you can get their production instead. If you want Gates, you might have to move early to get him though, think third round here. The other's you can wait until the fourth possibly, but you have to expect a TE run to ensue after Gates is gone. After the big four are off the board, that leaves Jermichael Finley and... read more

Week 16... YIKES! Hopefully your like me, playing for a championship in one league, semi's in another, and thankfully out of the playoffs in a third so that I can focus on the truth. I've found that both of my "big" matchups are fairly even, and the TE spot could be crucial in both. My opponents have Witten and Vernon Davis which makes things a bit more complicated. I'm flying with Boss (as a substitue for Aaron Hernandez) in one league and praying for Owen Daniels in my other league (as a substitute for Antonio Gates). Surely you guys can relate!! It's all about maximizing your potential and playing the matchups at this point in the season, and the chips will fall regardless. Hopefully you have one of the top 5 TE's playing this week (as both of my opponents... read more

Week 15 is upon us, and the Fantasy Playoffs are in full swing. Be sure to start your studs, and if you desperate, narrow down your options and then read the rankings to make your final decision. Some notables this week are Owen Daniels, Marcedes Lewis, Bo Scaife, and even Zach Miller (Oak) who could all make a nice splash for your fantasy team. Most of the TE1 talents have nice matchups, so you should have some confidence and be able to rest easy as the FFB guides your team to a Fantasy Championship. 1) Jacob Tamme - IND - TE, vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, Sun 1:00 PM Tamme and the Colts have their back against the wall, and their playoff run could be in jeopardy. Look for Manning to take control early in this one, and Tamme should see... read more
