WEEK 5: RB Ranks & Writeups

Friday's at the Brotherhood means we are dropping our Ranks & Writeups. Today I focus on my specialty the RBs. I always encourage our readers to not only read the players that they own, but also the other players. Why do you ask? Well I am glad you asked. A great way to keep on top of the other backs and it's a quick way to keep up with who is under performing and who is over performing. Who should be bought low and look out for backs that are being sold high. Even if you are not much of a wheeling and dealing type of owner, it is always good to keep your toe in the pool. You never know when a desperate owner is going to have a... read more

Every Friday the Brotherhood releases our ranks and writeups. In this article we take a peek at the wacky wild world of running backs. We enter week 4 with the first of the bye weeks leaving owners scrambling for starters. Running backs used to be a dime a dozen but in the age of playing the hot hand, or the committee approach has hampered an owners ability to set lineups with consistent running back play. This week there are five running backs in the top 25 that have injury concerns including Pierre Thomas and Steven Jackson who will be game time decisions. Joseph Addai was a late addition to the injury list today after it was revealed that he was banged up last week and his numbers suffered as a result. We will be keep an eye on injury statuses... read more

Every Monday and Tuesday Fantasy Football Brothers takes a 1ST LOOK at all things relevant to week 4. Today we take a 1ST LOOK at the RB's. Which by the way is another free pre-view of our paid content. To view all of our 1ST LOOK content click here. The Brotherhood has been hard at work building a new projection tool, where our readers can customize the projection tool to your specific league's scoring set up and to your roster. As cool as this sounds it's even better to play with. It has been an absolute nutty at the running back position so far this season. Injuries are really beginning to take a toll on fantasy squads. Even before we kicked off Sunday we were with... read more

UPDATED: 9/24/10 8:08 p.m. Denver RB Knowhson Moreno has already been ruled out for Sunday's game.   Friday's at the Brotherhood means only one thing. It is ranks and writeup time. We have been hard at work with our new exclusive player projection tool, and we are getting ready to roll it out real soon. We still need to figure out a name for this thing, but more on that next week. We take a look at the backs heading into week 3. It has been nuts at the running-back position. When the only back that has two one hundred yard games is Darren McFadden then you know it has really has been a squirrelly season. We have a ton of movement in our ranks this week as we are expecting the return of Beanie Wells and Michael Bush. Both... read more

Week 2: Running Back Rankings

Fantasy Football Brothers enters Week 2 trying to figure out what is wrong with offensive coordinators. The play calling left many fans and fantasy owners shaking their heads and yelling at the T.V. screaming why? I wrote at great length about the Browns lack of insight as to who the better back is. Dallas splitting the carries almost down the middle between three backs in a 3 point game. How Seattle only ran the rock 31 times despite scoring 31 unanswered points. The craziest part about the Seahawks game was the fact that they gave the ball to Julius Jones more than Justin Forsett. Then there was the Monday Night game when Jamaal Charles broke a long touchdown only to continue to split carries with an ineffective Thomas Jones after putting the Chiefs ahead. I have accepted the fact that we... read more

Note To Our Readers: 1ST LOOK: Ranks are for our Brotherhood All-Access Members only.  The RB ranks are part of our free trial so that our readers can sample the 1ST LOOK: We kick off week 2 with our 1ST LOOK looking at the RB matchups. Week 1 left more people scratching there heads than there were at the end of Inception. By the way if you haven't seen it, go see it especially if it is still an IMAX. Ok enough from our sponsors, we don't even get paid for that plug, but the movie is that good. Listen first things first, remember the beginning of the season is the time of panic, relax it's week one. You are not really going to know what kind of team you have until a month from now. Owners are questioning every pick that didn't meet... read more

RB Ranks Week 1

Posted by in Running Backs on Sep 8th 2010 and last modified on Sep 11th 2010. (Print This)

With my last draft tonight, the summer season of fun is officially now coming to an end. The endless hours of phone conversations like a teenage girl talking about who you like better. Team Brees or team Rodgers? The endless debates about when to draft a WR. The hundreds of mock drafts semi-completed. The thousands of  trees that were cut down for all the print outs and magazines that you have read. And of course the million stink eyes received from the future ex-wife when the word football was whispered.  Ah tis the season. Until next spring when we do it again. The season kicks off for real tomorrow night in New Orleans and these ranks are for standard scoring leagues. We will begin our in-season content starting on Monday with our 1ST LOOK with Injuries. Tuesday will... read more

Note to our readers come September 6th only subscribing members will be able to use our Q & A all football season long. Don’t get left out in the cold. It's that time of year again. We are in the middle of the dog days of summer, training camps across the NFL are breaking and we release our annual rookie RB report. I enjoy writing these more than anything else we do here. The rookies are always the sexiest, because they have so much upside. They potentially mean rebirth for your favorite franchise, a new name to follow and cheer on for the years to come. You secretly hope the franchise savior is not the next Rashaan Salaam. Or for that matter, the seemingly never ending long line of Penn State busts at running back. Yeah I'm talking to you Larry Johnson. The newbies bring... read more

The Brotherhood has been hard at work with our draft kit roll out. Last week we ranked all of the RBs and this is our combined ranks. There was a ton of debate here as usual with fists being pounded on the table and lots of spirited discussion to put it mildly. We will be updating our positional ranks early and often as we head towards the start of the season.  And as a note to the reader, even though there are some injuries already, we are not going to move the players up and down the ranks due to a minor injury.  *Asterisks Are Next... read more
