Note to our readers come September 6th only subscribing members will be able to use our Q & A all football season long. Don’t get left out in the cold. It's that time of year again. We are in the middle of the dog days of summer, training camps across the NFL are breaking and we release our annual rookie RB report. I enjoy writing these more than anything else we do here. The rookies are always the sexiest, because they have so much upside. They potentially mean rebirth for your favorite franchise, a new name to follow and cheer on for the years to come. You secretly hope the franchise savior is not the next Rashaan Salaam. Or for that matter, the seemingly never ending long line of Penn State busts at running back. Yeah I'm talking to you Larry Johnson. The newbies bring... read more

The Brotherhood has been hard at work with our draft kit roll out. Last week we ranked all of the RBs and this is our combined ranks. There was a ton of debate here as usual with fists being pounded on the table and lots of spirited discussion to put it mildly. We will be updating our positional ranks early and often as we head towards the start of the season.  And as a note to the reader, even though there are some injuries already, we are not going to move the players up and down the ranks due to a minor injury.  *Asterisks Are Next...

We are keeping an eye on Knowshon Moreno and Pierre Thomas closely right now. The Broncos signing of LenDale White will eventually bump him down the ranks now that he has landed in Denver. Let us know what you think,... read more

Welcome to Fantasy Football Brothers. This week we roll into week two of our Free Draft Kit, this week we are going to take a hard look at the RBs.  Today we will have the philosophy, on Wednesday we will have our position ranks and writeups.  Friday we will have our Pre-Season RB award ceremony. Also this week we are dropping our college draft kit for all of our college fantasy players. Every fantasy football league is set up differently with different line ups, rules, and different scoring.  That means every fantasy draft is different. Most ranks that are out there are either geared towards a standard scoring league or a P.P.R. formatted league which means the draft cheat sheets that you are looking at are not customized for you or your league. It also could mean that you are using a cheat... read more

Dynasty/Keeper League Rankings-Running Backs-

There are some rules in keeper league's that all of us owner's go by. It is a credo, a strict set of rules we manage our teams with, not to be strayed from the path. One is when a runner is nearing the age of 30, it is in our best interest to cut bait and go catch another younger runner. It is the over 30 rule in the NFL that has been drilled into our heads. Love it or hate it, it is not a trend, it is a fact. Running backs slow down when they hit the age of 30. Some players can defy the laws of aging, thinking Thomas Jones here, and some have a hard time making it to 30, thinking Clinton Portis. It all has to do with tread on the tires. How many carries... read more

Here at the Brotherhood we are constantly talking, watching, researching and reading about football(Just ask our future ex-wives). A hot topic here is always what players do we like, more than anyone else here? We always present our reasons with facts and never ending discussions constantly trying to turn each other into believers. After talking to the guys around the office it has become clear to me that I have identified a few guys that require an additional look in fantasy nation. No, these guys are not sleepers per se. These are guys that will be undervalued in drafts, and Average Draft Position reports will attest to their undervalued rank. Turner will go in the first round in most standard drafts but would you take him fourth, fifth or sixth? I would if the big... read more

2010 July RB Ranks

Posted by Paul in Rank,Ranks,Running Backs on Jul 6th 2010 and last modified on Jul 15th 2010. (Print This)

While doing these rankings I realized something about this year’s running back crop.  It looks to be a little top heavy but surprisingly deep.  I know it’s a completely contradicting statement but nonetheless true. After the first four backs are selected you can make a strong argument for almost anyone in the top 24 being ranked ahead of the next.  The running back position in general is one of the more difficult to project in football.  That’s part of what makes the process so much fun. We know from past years that someone selected in the top five will probably be a complete bust.  Matt Forte and Michael Turner are two perfect examples of players who failed to live up to their lofty expectations last year.  Both were consensus top five picks and both disappointed fantasy owners who selected them that high. The fact is... read more

2010 May RB Rankings

It has been a strange, if not downright weird few weeks here at the Brotherhood. First and foremost I am happy to announce and welcome another new member to the Brotherhood. Welcome to the Brotherhood Jason Daniel Michaud. This young man also doubles as my first nephew. I hope to see him helping us out with our 2020 draft kit. As some of our readers might know our site was brought down by a hacker, Our Director of Technology, who also just happens to be the father of J.D. has assured me that our site is again 100% safe and locked down. Now GoDaddy has some questions that need to be answered, but I will save that rant for another day. We again apologize to any of our reader's that were inconvenienced by this brief interruption. While we have... read more
