Week 14 is the beginning of the Fantasy Playoffs in 99% of all leagues.  If you've made it this far congratulations, you’ve most likely earned it.  The journey begins now. This week also marks the return of Michael Vick who missed the last two games with Broken ribs.  Vick should have his top target back in Jeremy Maclin who is also scheduled to return this week.  The Eagles face the Dolphins who have been playing solid all around team football.   Like the Eagles, Vick has been a disappointment for Fantasy owners who drafted him hoping they were getting the Vick of last season.  If you have another option you might want to go with it.  Vick is a tough call this week.  Josh Freeman put in a full practice today and is scheduled to start Sunday.     1) Aaron Rodgers... read more

Week 14 WR Ranks

Percy Harvin has exemplified the versatility and big-play ability that made him such a hot commodity coning out of college. Christian Ponder's maturation is evident despite the Vikes loosing record. Harvin has scored 4 receiving and 1 rushing TD in the last 5 games. In the last three weeks, he's accumulated 22 catches for 324 yards and 4 TDs. UPDATE - with Ponder out, expectations should be lowered. Michael Crabtree continues to improve. The targets and yardage totals are there, despite the Niners conservative approach. He's a weekly Top 20 prospect if he can begin to find the endzone more often. Brad Smith has stepped up for the Bills. Once thought to be nothing more than a utility man, Smith has been targeted 17 times over the last 2 weeks - pulling down 11 catches for 149 yards and a score. Victor Cruz has seen 62 targets over... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's welcomes those owner's lucky enough to be in their league's playoffs. The mission is far from over....if you have a bye, take stock of your team and look ahead and see if there are any moves you can make to better your team. If you are out of the Playoffs, stay out of the way. Don't be that owner that interferes in your league's final weeks just to be a thorn in the side of an owner who may have bested you through a trade or knocked you out of playoff contention. Trust me, I've seen friendships lost over things like this. Here are the K Ranks for Week 14: 1) Stephen Gostkowski - NEP - KI, at Washington Redskins, Sun 1:00 PM 2) Mason Crosby - GRE - KI, vs. Oakland Raiders, Sun 1:00 PM 3) John Kasay - NOR - KI, at Tennessee Titans, Sun 1:00 PM 4) David Akers -... read more

Week 13 WR Ranks

Tampa's Mike Williams appears to be back in 2010 form. In his last two games, Williams has pulled down 13 catches, for 167 yards and 2 scores. Prior, he hadn't scored since Week 1 and has yet to top 100 yards in a game all season. Things are pointing in the right direction. We expect Williams to continue to produce, but he'll have his hands full with Chris Gamble vs. the Panthers. New England, New Orleans and Green Bay are the three best offenses in the league. They all take pass-first approaches and stay throwing in the red-zone. As games appear to be well in hand, there is no letting up. The more points they appear to score - the better they play. The New York Giants had no answer for Drew Brees and Co. They will have similar struggles vs.... read more

Week 13 TE Ranks

Fantasy Football Brother's offers up our Week 13 Tight End Rankings. The position continues to be a nice source of points for fantasy owner's. They are either giving owner's that extra oomph, if that's a word, or they are filling in nicely as a receiver two, sometimes a receiver one in most cases. As I said in First Look this week, the G and G boys, Gronk and Graham continue to make a mockery of NFL defenses. The Brother's look for the trend to continue as the Patriots take on the Luck-less Colts* ( pardon the expression) and the Saints battle the Lions. *In case you were born under a rock, there is popular belief that the Colts are throwing this season to win the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes. In case you don't follow NCAA Football, Luck... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's looks at the positions no fantasy owner likes to get beat by, that is the kickers and the defensive units. Last week Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski put on a clinic. Fantasy owner's were kicking themselves (pardon the pun) for leaving this guy on their waivers, or maybe you were one of the unfortunate feeling his wrath last Sunday as you eyed the score constantly going up in increments of three. On a side note, has any player contributed more to his team than Janikowski throughout the years? Who said Al Davis drafted only speed? Davis drafted a left-footed Polish kicking mule who can stretch the field in the kicking game. Here are the Kicker Rankings for Week 13: 1) Mason Crosby - GRE - KI, at New York Giants, Sun 4:15 PM 2) John Kasay - NOR - KI, vs. Detroit Lions, Sun 1:00 PM 3) Dan Bailey -... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's would like to take the time to wish all our reader's a Happy Thanksgiving. We know there is a great slate of games on Turkey Day, in fact the best we can remember in quite some time, but we should stop and take the time to give thanks. Granted our country is in the crapper and world markets are collapsing, unemployment is at an all time high, but in the end there is football, which we almost didn't have. Be thankful this isn't the NBA..... Rob Gronkowski of the Patriot's again tops our list as he and Jimmy Graham battle it out for fantasy supremacy at the position. Let's get to the ranks.... Week 12 Tight End Rankings: 1) Rob Gronkowski - NEP - TE, at Philadelphia Eagles, Sun 4:15 PM 2) Jimmy Graham - NOR - TE, vs. New York Giants, Mon 8:30 PM 3) Jason Witten -... read more

The Top-10 is filled with favorable match-ups. The Green Bay/Detroit game will leave fantasy owners quite thankful. The aerial statistics that will be accumulated in that game could break holiday game day records. There is no receiver hotter than Jordy Nelson. He plays opposite an elite talent, while being on the catching end of the league's best arm. His receiver tree has all the branches. He can move the chains, stretch the field, and most importantly - find pay dirt. Expect bounce-back weeks for Greg Jennings and Calvin Johnson who found themselves out shined by their supporting cast in Week 11. Roddy White appeared to return to relevance last week. The Falcon receiver has been an overall disappointment, providing labile stats throughout the season. With Julio Jones nagging injury struggles - White will step up when it counts. Andre... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's would like to wish all our reader's a Happy Thanksgiving. There is a great slate of games on Thursday, but the headliner will be the Packers vs. the Lions, but the game that could be the best might be the 49ers vs. the Ravens. The Brothers Harbaugh will battle it out in the night game. Here are the Kicker Ranks for Week 12: 1) Mason Crosby - GRE - KI, at Detroit Lions, Thu 12:30 AM 2) Dan Bailey - DAL - KI, vs. Miami Dolphins, Thu 4:15 PM 3) John Kasay - NOR - KI, vs. New York Giants, Mon 8:30 PM 4) Matt Bryant - ATL - KI, vs. Minnesota Vikings, Sun 1:00 PM 5) David Akers - SFO - KI, at Baltimore Ravens, Thu 8:20 PM 6) Nick Novak - SDC - KI, vs. Denver Broncos, Sun 4:15 PM 7) Stephen Gostkowski - NEP - KI, at Philadelphia Eagles, Sun 4:15 PM 8) Billy... read more

THE MAIN EVENT The Carolina/Detroit game will be a sight to see. Calvin Johnson and Steve Smith are two dominating, yet completely different receivers. Both players had sub-par outings last week. Megatron has passed initial concussion screening and is expected to go. Carolina has no one capable of covering him. Detroit will be unable to contain the explosiveness of Smith. Look for Cam Newton to get back on track. As the NFL transitions more and more into a pass-first league, the number of statistically relevant WRs is increasing. WRs who play opposite known play-makers often benefit from drawing inferior pass-defenders in coverage. Some of the "Best Supporting Wide-Out" nominees include: Mario  Manningham, Jordy Nelson, and Antonio Brown. Manningham appeared to have fallen behind 2cnd year impressor Victor Cruz, only to find pay-dirt in three consecutive weeks. The Giant's talented trio will face-off... read more
