Week 4: Player Projections

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the player projections in Week 4. The projections were pretty difficult this week as big names like Ray Rice and Steven Jackson will more than likely sit this week. Knowshon Moreno has already been ruled out, so Moreno owner's can thank head coach Josh McDaniels for saving us the Sunday morning headache and wonder. There are other names that look like they might be out as well, Jahvid Best and Ryan Mathews are looking like game time decisions and Fred Taylor and Clinton Portis haven't been practicing. I would expect Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis and Ryan Torain to see alot of action this week. In the receiving department Andre Johnson of the Texans still looks to be slowed by a gimpy ankle. I don't doubt that he will play through it, but it also doesn't help matters that... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's is pleased to announce the new projection tool to our readers. Our IT Guy (Eric) decided that after the Ryan Grant injury (He owned him in several leagues) his fantasy season was done. We tried to tell him it wasn't, but there isn't a snowball's chance in hell he is getting Brandon Jackson off of waivers.  So, he came up with the projection tool and our reader's will be able to check out the weekly projections for their player's and how they stack up. The tool is used the same way as our Draft Tool, so those reader's familiar with how the Draft Tool works will already know the ins-and-0uts of the projection tool. Fantasy Football Brother's turns to our readers to help us name the thing. We have some ideas but none have really stuck. Please leave... read more

Fantasy Football Brothers heads into Week 1 and we are busy working on something that could be extremely useful for our reader's. We haven't come up with a name yet, but so far we have gotten votes for Genie Lamp. That's all I can say, my Director of Operations (Bill) has asked that I not say anything. Shhhh. The NFL is the most popular league in all of sports. They accomplish this because they know what the fans want to see. The NFL knows the best game of the season last year was the NFC Championship game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints. So how does the NFL braintrust decide to kick off the 2010 Season. That's right by offering up the Vikings vs. the Saints, in what should be a great, physical game. The NFL does a great job of just not promoting a game, but making it a spectacle, an event for all fans and non-fans to tune in. The Vikings find themselves back at the scene of the crime in the Superdome where they were done in by five turnovers. They had the Saints on the ropes, ready for the standing eight count and... read more

Note to our readers come September 6th only subscribing members will be able to use our Q & A all football season long. Don’t get left out in the cold. It's that time of year again. We are in the middle of the dog days of summer, training camps across the NFL are breaking and we release our annual rookie RB report. I enjoy writing these more than anything else we do here. The rookies are always the sexiest, because they have so much upside. They potentially mean rebirth for your favorite franchise, a new name to follow and cheer on for the years to come. You secretly hope the franchise savior is not the next Rashaan Salaam. Or for that matter, the seemingly never ending long line of Penn State busts at running back. Yeah I'm talking to you Larry Johnson. The newbies bring... read more

2010 Fantasy Playoffs Strength of Schedule

The Number One Ranked Fantasy Defense

A strength of schedule ranking is an underrated and valuable tool that can help fantasy managers gain an edge over other owners.  Although I wouldn't plan my entire draft strategy around one, it can help when it comes to making difficult decisions.  For instance, If I'm having trouble deciding between Ahmad Bradshaw and Arian Foster in the 6th round, I might select Bradshaw because Foster faces one of the more difficult schedules this year. The problem with a strength of schedule ranking, is that it is based off of last years overall results.  We know that some NFL teams are going to exceed expectations and be much better than any of us thought they would be.  We also know that some teams are going to fail to live up to their pre-season ranking.  Like most fantasy rankings, it's... read more

Draft time is here! It's what we've been preparing for all off-season. Your other responsibilities and obligations take a back seat as you begin to set your sites on a fantasy title. Pre-Season Week 3 often reveals the most, but some of us have our drafts this weekend. Much has happened to the wide-out pool: Sidney Rice could miss half the season. Vincent Jackson is still waiting to be traded. Percy Harvin's continued struggle with Migraines is concerning. Dez appears ready to get back on the playing field, while Chaz Schilens finds himself side-lined once again. Who's stalk is rising? We like Jabar Gaffney, Malcom Floyd and Johnny Knox. Josh Cribbs has played more of a role in Cleveland's passing game than most expected. Wes Welker has proven to be an incredible healer. Larry Fitzgerald cringed as he watched his starting quarterback... read more

The NFL has kicked off a new season and that means it is officially fantasy football time. Now that HBO's Hard Knocks are in full swing, it's only fitting that the Jets take the top spot in our team defense rankings. Philosophies differ when it comes to taking a team defense.  Of course, it all depends on your league format and scoring.  In some league formats, a team defense can finish in the top 10 in overall scoring.  These types of leagues make team defenses more valuable.  We always preach waiting until the later rounds before selecting one.  Our thought is that you can find an... read more

A peace of mind is priceless and we are here to take your questions and offer our own personalized feedback. Plus you get our draft tool which will help you dominate your draft. The tight end position has turned into one of the deepest positions in the NFL. While there are four really solid options who will always start the tight end run in most drafts, smart and savvy owners know they can wait and get one in the later rounds that will offer them great value with huge upside. When another owner wastes his pick on a TE, it just means somebody you like or need will... read more
