Week 17 Injury Center

The Real McCoy?

Fantasy Football Brother's welcomes you to our Injury Center. Not only are we watching injuries, but we will monitor guys who might not be playing due to playoff seedings. Which brings us to this: If your league is still playing through Week 17, time for a vote to change to have your final game played in Week 16. That or find another league to play in because this is basically unfair. It's why we don't do rankings for Week 17. There is no way to tell and give an educated rank. These situations are ridiculous, so a guy that has Kahlil Bell of the Bears has the upper hand on an owner that has LeSean McCoy. An Aaron Rodgers owner has to make a decision to start Seneca Wallace of Matt Flynn? Bogus! Here are the Players we are watching: EARLY GAMES QB-Aaron Rodgers-Packers-OUT QB-Sam Bradford-Rams-OUT QB-Tom Brady-Patriots-ACTIVE RB-Chris... read more

Week 16 TE Ranks

Posted by in Ranks,Tight Ends on Dec 21st 2011 (Print This)

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the tight end position for Week 16. If you are reading this, congratulations, but your work is far from over. For most of us, we are in fantasy depression, our team was good enough, we made all the right moves and decisions, only to have our players disappoint. More than one owner in your league thought he had what it took and more than one owner is saying wait 'til next year as he tries to decide between Matt Kemp and Justin Verlander in his dynasty fantasy baseball league. But you are not there yet....you stayed away from the light and were rewarded one more weekend in the sun to achieve fantasy glory. Let's not disappoint our loved ones....let's bring home that trophy to put on the mantle for the Holidays...okay, maybe not in most households, but I'm sure... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's welcomes you to Week 16. In most leagues this is the final game of the season, winner takes all, second place means nothing besides the fact that you showed up. The specialty positions such as kicker and defenses has played an instrumental role in most fantasy owner's success. Those that have been riding the foot of such guys as David Akers and Mike Nugent know what I'm talking about, as well as owner's that started the 49ers defense every week. These players and units helped make up points when your skill set position players had an off day. Think Jermichael Finley's whole season here. Did your kicker or your defense make up those extra points....the safe bet is that if you are playing this weekend they probably did. So, pay close attention because... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's welcomes owner's to what is the second round in most league's playoff system. The owner's that had the nice, comfy bye weeks are now on alert. There is nothing better than knocking one of these team's off their soapbox. If you are one of the lucky who was watching from the sidelines last week or spent the day of football with your significant other not paying attention to the games, you've been warned. You will be hunted by lower seed teams and we here at Fantasy Football Brother's are the secret weapon. Now, last week was again dominated by Rob Gronkowski who set the TD record for TE's and proved that he is simply a mismatch. He's also a hard man to bring down as evidenced by the Redskins tackling last week. He is again the top ranked TE going into Denver this week. Many... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's welcomes you to Week 14. If you made it this far, congratulations, but there is more work to be done. If you earned yourself a bye, a double congratulations. The tight end position continues to be the Gronk and Graham show. In fact, it's getting too easy to put these guys number one and two each week. This week should be no different as the Pats take on the Redskins and the Saints battle the Titans. Jermichael Finley finally showed up last week which was nice for fantasy owner's, maybe he will get on a roll and reward fantasy owner's who drafted him early. Yes, I'm thinking of myself here. Looking for a couple of sleepers in Week 14? While we suggest always starting your studs, we think Aaron Hernandez gets in on the fun this week, as well as... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's welcomes those owner's lucky enough to be in their league's playoffs. The mission is far from over....if you have a bye, take stock of your team and look ahead and see if there are any moves you can make to better your team. If you are out of the Playoffs, stay out of the way. Don't be that owner that interferes in your league's final weeks just to be a thorn in the side of an owner who may have bested you through a trade or knocked you out of playoff contention. Trust me, I've seen friendships lost over things like this. Here are the K Ranks for Week 14: 1) Stephen Gostkowski - NEP - KI, at Washington Redskins, Sun 1:00 PM 2) Mason Crosby - GRE - KI, vs. Oakland Raiders, Sun 1:00 PM 3) John Kasay - NOR - KI, at Tennessee Titans, Sun 1:00 PM 4) David Akers -... read more

Week 13 TE Ranks

Posted by in Fantasy Advice,Ranks,Tight Ends on Nov 29th 2011 and last modified on Dec 1st 2011. (Print This)

Fantasy Football Brother's offers up our Week 13 Tight End Rankings. The position continues to be a nice source of points for fantasy owner's. They are either giving owner's that extra oomph, if that's a word, or they are filling in nicely as a receiver two, sometimes a receiver one in most cases. As I said in First Look this week, the G and G boys, Gronk and Graham continue to make a mockery of NFL defenses. The Brother's look for the trend to continue as the Patriots take on the Luck-less Colts* ( pardon the expression) and the Saints battle the Lions. *In case you were born under a rock, there is popular belief that the Colts are throwing this season to win the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes. In case you don't follow NCAA Football, Luck... read more

Week 13 K and D/ST Ranks

Fantasy Football Brother's looks at the positions no fantasy owner likes to get beat by, that is the kickers and the defensive units. Last week Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski put on a clinic. Fantasy owner's were kicking themselves (pardon the pun) for leaving this guy on their waivers, or maybe you were one of the unfortunate feeling his wrath last Sunday as you eyed the score constantly going up in increments of three. On a side note, has any player contributed more to his team than Janikowski throughout the years? Who said Al Davis drafted only speed? Davis drafted a left-footed Polish kicking mule who can stretch the field in the kicking game. Here are the Kicker Rankings for Week 13: 1) Mason Crosby - GRE - KI, at New York Giants, Sun 4:15 PM 2) John Kasay - NOR - KI, vs. Detroit Lions, Sun 1:00 PM 3) Dan Bailey -... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's offers our First Look Series. This week we take a sneak peek at the tight end position for Week 13 in the NFL. It's getting to be do or die time, put up or shut up time across the fantasy landscape as owner's jockey for playoff position. The tight ends continue to impress and Rob Gronkowski of the Patriots and Jimmy Graham of the Saints are option 1 and 1A every week. They are dominant on the football field and they play for coaches who know how to utilize their immense skill set. Other tight ends such as Jermaine Gresham of the Bengals are just quietly putting up great fantasy seasons, while some such as Dallas Clark of the Colts are memories of yesteryear. Owen Daniels of the Texans will be playing with whoever at quarterback and his stock takes... read more
