To All of our readers, we wish a very Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.   I'll be back on Friday with more RB news that you can use INJURIES RB Fred Jackson-BUF Jackson went from questionable to already ruled out to maybe out for the year. We don't have any details other than he is definitely out this week. C.J. Spiller will be moved back from WR to RB. The Bills just lost a huge piece of that offense. Jackson has been the lone spark plug to that offense, since the passing game has gone down hill over the last month. Spiller might not be a great runner but he is a great pass catcher. Spiller becomes a decent flex play in PPR leagues. Johnny White... read more

The Attack Of The Running Back The RB position is one of the most important positions in fantasy football. Yes part of that statement is hyperbole but there is some truth to it and no I am not biased because I write on the RBs. (Well maybe a little biased) The RB position was once the most important position in fantasy. The position has lost a lot of it's luster after the 2007 season. What happened in 2008? That was the last season when LaDainian Tomlinson was still alive or at least his career was. (I refuse to acknowledge the last 4 seasons of LDTs' career, they're insulting to his legacy) When LDT was destroying the NFL he was also destroying fantasy owners and their lives. He was always good... read more

Week 12 QB Ranks

Look for Rodgers to bounce back in a big way against the Bills

1) Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB, at Detroit Lions, Thu 12:30 AM 2) Drew Brees - NOR - QB, vs. New York Giants, Mon 8:30 PM 3) Cam Newton - CAR - QB, at Indianapolis Colts, Sun 1:00 PM 4) Matthew Stafford - DET - QB, vs. Green Bay Packers, Thu 12:30 AM 5) Eli Manning - NYG - QB, at New Orleans Saints, Mon 8:30 PM 6) Tom Brady - NEP - QB, at Philadelphia Eagles, Sun 4:15 PM 7) Tony Romo - DAL - QB, vs. Miami Dolphins, Thu 4:15 PM 8) Ben Roethlisberger - PIT - QB, at Kansas City Chiefs, Sun 8:20 PM 9) Matt Ryan - ATL - QB, vs. Minnesota Vikings, Sun 1:00 PM 10) Philip Rivers - SDC - QB, vs. Denver Broncos, Sun 4:15 PM 11) Josh Freeman - TAM - QB, at Tennessee Titans, Sun 1:00 PM 12) Vince... read more

THE MAIN EVENT The Carolina/Detroit game will be a sight to see. Calvin Johnson and Steve Smith are two dominating, yet completely different receivers. Both players had sub-par outings last week. Megatron has passed initial concussion screening and is expected to go. Carolina has no one capable of covering him. Detroit will be unable to contain the explosiveness of Smith. Look for Cam Newton to get back on track. As the NFL transitions more and more into a pass-first league, the number of statistically relevant WRs is increasing. WRs who play opposite known play-makers often benefit from drawing inferior pass-defenders in coverage. Some of the "Best Supporting Wide-Out" nominees include: Mario  Manningham, Jordy Nelson, and Antonio Brown. Manningham appeared to have fallen behind 2cnd year impressor Victor Cruz, only to find pay-dirt in three consecutive weeks. The Giant's talented trio will face-off... read more

Week 11 QB Ranks

Fantasy owners have to be getting tired of Philip Rivers inconsistent play.  I can honestly say I don't blame them.  However, I still have confidence in him, and believe he still has the ability to produce QB1 numbers.  This will be an important test against a solid Bears defense.  The Chargers need to win if they want keep pace in the AFC West.  If they lose owners might need to search elsewhere for consistent fantasy production, and that's not a good thing heading into the playoffs. Michael Vick has been ruled out for Sunday.  Vince Young will start in his place and makes an okay option if your in a bind.  We can expect the Eagles to run a ton against a week Giants front seven.  I expect Tony Romo to put up decent numbers against a solid Redskins secondary.  This... read more

Arian Foster Has Been Stepping All Over The Competition In 2011 And We Expect The Same In 2012

The end of the week means our final ranks for the week. We have updated and moved players up and down the board according to all of the developments of the week. I won't dive deep into last night's football game. While the game had a great finish, it was ugly from a football perspective and was horrifying from a fantasy perspective. When the top three fantasy scorers from last nights game are in order: the Broncos defense, Tim Tebow and Joe McKnight. Yikes. Every few weeks we assess the state of the RB position and take a look forward to next season. Here is an early look at our top 12 2012 RB Ranks. Due to Darren McFadden's injury history, he just missed the cut. McFadden has now missed 3 games or more in each of his first four NFL seasons. He is quickly becoming big time risk big time reward. Even... read more

1ST LOOK: Week 11 QB Ranks

Week 10 was a difficult one for the quarterback position.  Matt Schaub is likely done for the year.  This is a major blow to fantasy owners and the Texans.  Houston has been playing well and looking for their first ever post season birth.  With Schaub going down, Matt Leinart will take over as the Texans starting quarterback after the teams week 11 bye.  Leinart is a former first round pick (11th overall) who has never been able to play up to his potential. With Leinart under center we can expect the Texans to feature a healthy dose of Foster and Tate going forward.  I expect the coaches to simplify the offense and get the south paw out of the pocket on play action fakes and bootlegs.  He's an interesting prospect going forward in deeper leagues and leagues that start two quarterbacks. Michael Vick took a ton of... read more

1st Look: Week 11 WR Ranks

Manningham appeared to have fallen behind 2cnd year impressor Victor Cruz, only to find pay-dirt in three consecutive weeks. The Giant's talented trio will face-off vs. what was thought to be a solid Eagles secondary. The Patriots have the easiest schedule in the league moving forward. Wes Welker will cause Brandon Flowers fits this weekend. The Pats lack of running game is supplemented with dink and dunk passes to Welker. He could very easily finish as this year's top fantasy wide-out. The Carolina/Detroit game will be a sight to see. Calvin Johnson... read more

The Real McCoy?

(Editor's Note: We accidentally left off the San Diego Chargers RBs. Ryan Mathews lands between 18 and 19. Mike Tolbert lands between the 23 and 24 spot. ) We take our 1ST Look at the RBs today. With the start of the Thursday games already in full effect, we take a look at the injuries.  In Philadelphia it will be very interesting to see if LeSean McCoy is as effective without Mike Vick as he is with him. Vick is dealing with broken ribs, and while he hasn't been ruled out, it seems that it is all but a fore gone conclusion, that he will miss week 11. In Denver Willis McGahee was present at the start of practice and barring any setbacks this week is on track to start Thursday Night against the Jets. Speaking of set back and the Jets, LaDainian Tomlinson left... read more

Waivers: Week 11

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Nov 15th 2011 (Print This)

A wild week 10 is in the books.  Injuries to Matt Schaub, Michael Vick and Denver's backfield will force owners back to the wire.  Hopefully most of you took our pre- season advice and drafted an adequate back up to both Vick and Schaub.  I listed a couple signal callers who could help stop the bleeding, and hopefully keep your team on track to a fantasy title. As always, we urge you to take advantage of our Ask A Question Feature.  We are available 24/7 to provide you with any advice you may need on your way to a title.   Wide Receivers Earl Bennett - CHI - WR, vs. San Diego Chargers, Sun 4:15 PM Bennett had 6 receptions for 81 yards on 6 targets. It's worth noting that this was a blowout, and Cutler... read more
