Week 14 is the beginning of the Fantasy Playoffs in 99% of all leagues. If you've made it this far congratulations, you’ve most likely earned it. The journey begins now. This week also marks the return of Michael Vick who missed the last two games with Broken ribs. Vick should have his top target back in Jeremy Maclin who is also scheduled to return this week. The Eagles face the Dolphins who have been playing solid all around team football. Like the Eagles, Vick has been a disappointment for Fantasy owners who drafted him hoping they were getting the Vick of last season. If you have another option you might want to go with it. Vick is a tough call this week. Josh Freeman put in a full practice today and is scheduled to start Sunday. 1) Aaron Rodgers... read more

Percy Harvin has exemplified the versatility and big-play ability that made him such a hot commodity coning out of college. Christian Ponder's maturation is evident despite the Vikes loosing record. Harvin has scored 4 receiving and 1 rushing TD in the last 5 games. In the last three weeks, he's accumulated 22 catches for 324 yards and 4 TDs. UPDATE - with Ponder out, expectations should be lowered. Michael Crabtree continues to improve. The targets and yardage totals are there, despite the Niners conservative approach. He's a weekly Top 20 prospect if he can begin to find the endzone more often. Brad Smith has stepped up for the Bills. Once thought to be nothing more than a utility man, Smith has been targeted 17 times over the last 2 weeks - pulling down 11 catches for 149 yards and a score. Victor Cruz has seen 62 targets over... read more
It's playoff time for almost all of fantasy nation. Owners are shoring up wholes and scouring the waiver wire looking to ride that special player that can help bring a title. There aren't any RBs that jump out and say I can win you a title, but there is some potential. The biggest potential comes from the Chicago Bears backfield. If Marion Barber can play like its 2007 or 2008 then owners will find a steal on the waiver wire. Malcom Floyds' return is a potential shot in the arm for owners that have depleted receiving corps. The elite WRs for the most part have been largely disappointing. Part of is the massive amount of injuries, the other part is the never ending stream of injuries to decent QBs this season. Remember to keep it simple and just because it... read more
Fantasy Playoffs It's was just ten short years ago when an incredulous Jim Mora responded to a reporters question about making the playoffs. His immortal retort. "Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs? Are you kidding me? Playoffs?" That interview is still as funny now, as it was ten years ago. Sadly today only an owner that has made their fantasy playoffs will find humor in that. Congrats to all of you that have made your fantasy playoffs. It's time to bring home a trophy. For those that missed out in the playoffs, look back and see what you could have done differently. Whether it was poor drafting, team mismanagement or lineup problems all of these issues can be fixed. We can help. I will talk about this at another time but... read more

Thursday Night Football Our 1ST Look RB Ranks promised a great RB matchup on Thursday with Marshawn Lynch and an injured LeSean McCoy battling it out. Lynch was ranked 10th and McCoy 8th and both lived up to the hype and earned their lofty rankings especially Lynch. He racked up 148 yards rushing and two scores. He now has four games of over a hundred yards rushing in his last five games with a near miss of 88 yards rushing in the other game. He has scored 5 touchdowns in his last five games and has now scored at least one touchdown in his last 8 games. McCoy was no slouch either Thursday with 84 yards rushing and a score to go along with his 4 receptions for 49 yards and a receiving touchdown. He has been the... read more

Tom Bradydismantled the Eagles on Sunday with relative ease. His owners should be licking their chops with the Colts coming to town. Aaron Rodgers comes in at #2, and it's only because Brady gets the Colts. Drew Brees put on a clinic Monday night. He's hitting his stride at just the right time. The Lions seam to be falling apart, but Stafford is still producing high end QB1 numbers. His fantasy day was bailed out thanks to a garbage time touchdown to Megatron. I have a well documented love hate relationship with Eli Manning. However, know one can deny his production. He's close to joining the lower end of the first tier. I have Philip Rivers at #12 this week. He has been disappointing all season long and would be difficult to recommend at this point. 1) Tom Brady - NEP -... read more

Tampa's Mike Williams appears to be back in 2010 form. In his last two games, Williams has pulled down 13 catches, for 167 yards and 2 scores. Prior, he hadn't scored since Week 1 and has yet to top 100 yards in a game all season. Things are pointing in the right direction. We expect Williams to continue to produce, but he'll have his hands full with Chris Gamble vs. the Panthers. New England, New Orleans and Green Bay are the three best offenses in the league. They all take pass-first approaches and stay throwing in the red-zone. As games appear to be well in hand, there is no letting up. The more points they appear to score - the better they play. The New York Giants had no answer for Drew Brees and Co. They will have similar struggles vs.... read more

1) C.J. Spiller - BUF - RB, vs. Tennessee Titans, Sun 1:00 PM Although he didn't do much with them, Spiller received 23 touches on Sunday. If he wasn't picked up last week, you need to go get him. Spiller will make a decent flex play going forward. 2) Johnny Knox - CHI - WR, vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sun 1:00 PM Knox had a team high 10 targets with Caleb Hanie under center. He managed to catch 4 of them for 145 yards and a touchdown. The Brotherhood was very high on Knox in the preseason, but he couldn't get consistent looks with Cutler under center. Now that Hanie has taken over Knox could prove to be the most valuable Bears receiver. 3) Santana Moss - WAS - WR, vs. New York Jets, Sun 1:00 PM Moss wasn't... read more
RB Two Where are you? I feel like I have been asking this all season long. A few weeks ago I wrote about how maybe it's time to re-evaluate the RB draft philosophy. This is the first time the RB2 guys have all shown up at once. It was also a lot easier to notice their arrival with all of the disappointing performances from the elite backs in week 12. Was it a perfect storm of matchups and coincidences? Or are some of the backs that we have been waiting on all year finally healthy? I think we are dealing with a lot of factors that would best explain week 12. One it was a perfect storm of events. Chris Johnson finally breaking some long ones. Wells finally healthy enough to carry the ball more than 13 times in a game or to even be on the field on back to back... read more

The Top-10 is filled with favorable match-ups. The Green Bay/Detroit game will leave fantasy owners quite thankful. The aerial statistics that will be accumulated in that game could break holiday game day records. There is no receiver hotter than Jordy Nelson. He plays opposite an elite talent, while being on the catching end of the league's best arm. His receiver tree has all the branches. He can move the chains, stretch the field, and most importantly - find pay dirt. Expect bounce-back weeks for Greg Jennings and Calvin Johnson who found themselves out shined by their supporting cast in Week 11. Roddy White appeared to return to relevance last week. The Falcon receiver has been an overall disappointment, providing labile stats throughout the season. With Julio Jones nagging injury struggles - White will step up when it counts. Andre... read more
