Week 7 WR Ranks

Posted by in Fantasy Advice,Ranks,Wide Receivers on Oct 21st 2011 and last modified on Oct 22nd 2011. (Print This)

Pierre Garcon has thrived without Peyton Manning. His success is no fluke. He should continue to post solid stats moving forward. The Colts will need to put up points to keep up with Drew Brees and the Saints offense. Brandon Lloyd will find comfort reunited with his former offensive coordinator. Lloyd was the best WR in all of fantasy last season playing under Josh McDaniels. This deal will boost Lloyd's value and heighten his ceiling. His absence in Denver will allow Eric Decker, Demaryius Thomas, and Eddie Royal to step up with Tim Tebow under center. Decker is more suited for the possession role. Thomas has flashed superior talent, but continues to miss extensive time with injury. Anquan Boldin exploded back into relevance last week. He'll continue to be labile, but he showed that he is still capable of being a solid fantasy factor. Torrey... read more

Week 7 RB Ranks

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Oct 21st 2011 (Print This)

Week 7 means we have hit the middle of the NFL bye weeks. NFL Bye weeks lead to the emergence of some unlikely players. Owners are forced to reach and build up players that if the bye weeks were already over these players would likely be a mere after thought.  Like the saying goes necessity is the mother of invention.  These players have emerged as potential BOOM or bust: RB Jackie Battle KC- Battle is a 6 footer that weighs almost 240 pounds. He was timed around 4.3 in the forty yard dash before being drafted. He did well in a run and shoot offense. I have written this a million times in my answers to our subscribers when asking whether Battle is worthy of a start. His skill set is off the charts. On the... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's looks at the Week 7 Rankings for the Quarterback position. Like we said earlier the position is in a state of flux with all the new starter's across the league. While we think it's crazy that the Raider's are probably going to start Carson Palmer, let's remember that he is a better option than Kyle Boller for the Silver and Black. We also mentioned in First Look that Tim Tebow makes his much anticipated start for the Denver Broncos. I'm sure all of Florida and most of America will be tuning in to see how he does. It should be interesting. We here at FFB wish him the best! Remember it's bye weeks for the following quarterbacks, so if you have them, and you haven't adjusted your roster accordingly, please do so: Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andy Dalton, Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Michael... read more

My boss came to me the other day and said why would you tout yourself to subscribers we already have who can see the First Look Series. He said the point is to try and get new subscribers who can reap the benefits of all our hard work and research. So, this is basically what was written in the First Look. If you are already one of our loyal reader's, we thank you and hope the season is going well: The tight end position possibly gets Antonio Gates back this week, but we remain cautiously optimistic. The position saw the full return of Aaron Hernandez in Week 6 and he didn't disappoint. Jimmy Graham continues to be a beast and while we don't like to gloat, it's safe to say, "We told you so." Here's what we said about Graham in our Draft Kit: 6) Jimmy... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the Kicker and Defensive Unit Rankings for Week 7. Again if you have a kicker on a bye week, that would be: Rian Lindell, Mike Nugent, Stephen Gostkowski, Lawrence Tynes, Alex Henery or David Akers, please make the necessary roster moves. Also, along with that the following D/ST's are on byes this week: Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, N.Y. Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers. If you are looking for bye week fillers, there is some value to be found throughout the ranks, such as the Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks, and the Cleveland Browns. Here are the K Rankings for Week 7 1) Dan Bailey - DAL - KI, vs. St. Louis Rams, Sun 4:15 PM 2) John Kasay - NOR - KI, vs. Indianapolis Colts, Sun 8:20 PM 3) Mason Crosby - GRE - KI, at Minnesota Vikings, Sun... read more

Everyone was urging owners to trade Dwayne Bowe the second Jamaal Charles went down with injury. Experts feared that opposing defenses would double and triple team Bowe without the threat of an explosive runner to keep safeties honest. They were right - teams have double teamed Bowe... The thing is - It hasn't mattered. Bowe has been responsible for some of the best highlights of the season. He continues to find a way to contribute despite being the focal point of opposing defensive coordinator's schemes. Given his supporting cast - his performance this season has been remarkable! Steve Breaston has finally flashed some indication of respite. Bowe will continue to have success in a rivalry game vs. Oakland. Calvin Johnson was held scoreless for the first time this season. Don't expect it to become a trend. Atlanta has no on capable of containing him. Miles Austin... read more

We kick off the week 7 Waivers after a day of last minute trades. The NFL has all of a sudden become a big trade league after years of having trades that were not even worth wasting any ink on. Those days have passed and the biggest trade on the deadline day was Carson Palmer. Palmer is also on 99% of all fantasy football waiver wires. We break down the biggest waiver wire guy first.  Carson Palmer - OAK - QB Shocked would be the best word to describe todays move by the Raiders. The Raiders sent a 2012 1st rounder and a conditional 1st rounder in 2013 to the Bengals for Carson Palmer. I'm not shocked at the Raiders making a crazy trade even after the passing of Al Davis (R.I.P. Al). It's the... read more

(1ST LOOK is available only to Brotherhood All-Access Members.) Every Tuesday the Brotherhood takes a 1ST Look at this weeks upcoming ranks. Even though these ranks are not set in stone it is always good idea to start planning ahead.  On Friday we will post our our final ranks for Week 7. The quarterback position is in a state of flux right now in the NFL. There hasn't been this much turnover since the days that Steve Slaton and Ahman Green were full time backs in the NFL. Carson Palmer out of retirement to the Raiders? Kyle Boller keeping his seat warm in the meantime? Christian Ponder in for the Vikings? John Beck in for the Redskins? Matt Moore sucking it up for the Dolphins? Tim Tebow in for the Broncos? We are secretly rooting for Tebow to succeed in the NFL...though I guess it's no secret since I... read more
