FFB’S 2011 Rookie Running Back Report

Posted by in Fantasy Advice,Rank,Running Backs on Aug 31st 2011 and last modified on Sep 2nd 2011. (Print This)

Note to our readers come September 8th only subscribing members will be able to use our Q & A all football season long. Don’t get left out in the cold. It's that time of year again. We are at the end of the dog days of summer. Of course if you are like us and unlucky enough to be stuck in the North East, you have hurricane Irene ruining your weekend. NFL training camps across the country will begin to break this week. One of my favorite articles to write is Fantasy Football Brothers rookie RB report. The rookies are always the sexiest of any position. That is because they have so much upside and barely any negatives attached to their game. On a grander scale they symbolically mean rebirth for your favorite franchise, a new hope to cheer and follow for years to come. You secretly hope your team's draft pic is the new franchise savior, and not... read more

Fantasy Stock Exchange 2011

This week the brokers from the Brotherhood focus on what stock options are available heading into the 2011 season. Selling before the crash and buying on the cheap can lead to fantasy cash flow. We’ll provide free quotes and offer up-to-date stock analysis on today’s market trends. FFB is committed to making sure you get proper return on your fantasy investments. Stock Falling: Jonathan Stewart - CAR - RB The Panthers had the most dangerous two-headed monster in the league, but DeAngelo Williams' contract may have cut the head off of one. Carolina is paying DWill RB1 money and they will expect him to produce like one. Stewart is looking more and more like a glorified handcuff than a RB2. There are far more attractive options in the running back market. Maurice Jones-Drew - JAC - RB Heading into the draft, MJD remains one... read more

Team by Team Sleepers & Busts: Part 1

Posted by in Fantasy Advice,Hit or Miss on Aug 26th 2011 and last modified on Aug 29th 2011. (Print This)

This is part one of my two part installment of a Team by Team Sleepers & Busts.  I don't know about you, but I love to read everything I can on sleepers and busts.  It's often the first thing I flip to when I'm browsing through a fantasy magazine at CVS, and it's the first thing I'll scroll to when perusing a site. I love seeing who the "experts" dub as "sleepers and busts".  I get it.  Who doesn't want to be the first person to take a chance on a late round flier and have him pan out?  If you took Brandon Lloyd in the 16th round last season, you know what I'm talking about.  It's often these late round steals that can put your team over the top. It's the reason why I go Team by Team trying to... read more

2011 Draft Kit QB Ranks & Write Ups

Fantasy Football Brothers begins our Free Draft Kit roll out. We know we have released our draft kit a little later than previous years and there is a reason for that. Due to the lockout and free agency frenzy we decided to wait and see how it all shook out. We know everyone's time is limited so why make our readers read a bunch of different versions of our draft kit and waste your time. Or do what we did and wait ten days after the dust has settled a little bit and give you the reader a much more informed look at fantasy nation. The NFL is a quarterback driven league.  Over the years the game has evolved and transformed from a run heavy game to a pass heavy game. The NFL is also more passer friendly than ever... read more

With the quarterback, running back, and tight end positions appearing deeper than ever, landing an elite wide receiver is essential. There is a clear-cut Top 8, but then the questions start flying. If you find yourself quivering over selecting a questionable running back in the middle to late first round, a stud wide-out may be the way to go. With a youth movement at the quarterback position, and the tight end pool deepening - solid prospects are falling to the later rounds. Running back has become the easiest position in all of fantasy to fill. Stud pass-catchers are an endangered species. Be sure to draft one before they're extinct. Calvin, Fitz, and VJack are on the rise. Jennings and Wayne on the fall. Last-minute stat projections and ranks are here... 1) Andre Johnson - HOU - WR RUSH ATT RUSH YDS RUSH TD REC REC YDS REC TD 0 0 0 101 1468 10 No surprises here. Johnson deserves... read more

There is a great deal of turnover in the kicking position as kickers battle it out for jobs. Case in point in Dallas where David Buehler is battling with Kris Brown. Seatle also has a kicking competition going on between Jeff... read more

2011 Draft Kit: RB Ranks 2.0 (W/ Projections)

Note to our readers come September 8th only subscribing members will be able to use our Q & A all football season long. Don’t get left out in the cold. Fantasy Football Brothers is constantly updating our projections and ranks on an hour by hour basis. Just like the fraud weathermen that have ruined my weekend predicting hurricane/armageddon Irene in the Northeast. We hope all of our friends and readers in the south are alright and doing well. We take another look at the running back position this week. There are plenty of make or break events that will take place this week as we head into the last week of exhibition games. Arian Foster's hamstring injury is a concern but the bigger question is who should you draft as his backup. Derek Ward and second year back Ben Tate have been battling back... read more

Fantasy Football Brothers Free Draft Kit roll out continues today with our RB ranks and writeups. We have been constantly adding and removing players. We are constantly making changes to our ranks as things are literally minute to minute at the running back position. As you have heard us say before there is plenty of talent at RB. Yes the days of 3 down backs are disappearing. They are becoming endangered species. That doesn't mean there isn't plenty of talent available throughout the draft but the lack of quality starting backs are a little thinner than expected. There is a ton to read here so we will keep this intro short and sweet. Remember To Ask Us A Question. It's still free until the start of the season, then it's only available to our Brotherhood All-Access Members.   Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at the tight end position heading into 2011. While not a deep position overall, there are a lot of solid options throughout these ranks. What does this mean to us as fantasy owners? It means a wise draft strategy is at play here. You can select one of the top or elite TE's such as Antonio Gates, Jason Witten, Dallas Clark or Vernon Davis earlier in the draft. After all their production is at WR1 status, so why reach on a WR2 when you can get their production instead. If you want Gates, you might have to move early to get him though, think third round here. The other's you can wait until the fourth possibly, but you have to expect a TE run to ensue after Gates is gone. After the big four are off the board, that leaves Jermichael Finley and... read more

Fantasy Football Brothers-2011 FCFI Draft Breakdown

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Aug 20th 2011 and last modified on Sep 3rd 2011. (Print This)

Fantasy Football Brother's again took part in the 20-team Fantasy College Football Invitational (FCFI). Again we wanted to test ourselves against the best that the industry has to offer. The FCFI is the best forum to do just that and includes sites such as Sports Illustrated, Athlon, Rotoworld, Rotowire, and defending champion CBS Sports as well as numerous other sites that eat and breathe college football. The Brother's had the 9th pick overall, exactly the spot we wanted to be in a 20-team draft, where our strategy was to stop and start runs. Being in the middle we felt we could control the draft board and have player's we coveted fall to us. So we made ourselves a frozen pizza (Bacon Blitz DiGiornio) to be exact, poured ourselves a cool one and set out on a 3 1/2 hour journey to assemble a squad that would rival... read more
