NFL Mock Draft 2.0

Fantasy Football Brother's offers up our NFL Mock Draft 2.0. Many things have changed since our last mock draft, the biggest being Andrew Luck returning for his senior season at Stanford. Luck's return ensured that NFL Draft 2011 will be dominated by defensive players. The defensive end position is loaded with NFL ready talent. There are some notable college players missing here and the most glaring is Cam Newton of Auburn. The reason being is that I'm not sold on him at the NFL level and I don't think he goes in the first round. One of my concerns with Newton is that when he was forced to throw the ball, such as in the National Championship game a season high 34 times, he completed a season high of just 20 of those passes for a 58.8 completion percentage. That is against a decent Oregon secondary,... read more

Fantasy Playoff Draft Kit: RB RANKS

The NFL  playoffs are always very hard to predict how each team will fare and then to use that formula of figuring out how the playoffs will unfold has a gigantic impact on these ranks. Last year we ranked Pierre Thomas the number one back for these ranks and people here even questioned the logic, but it turns out he was the best since the Saints made it to the Super Bowl. The key to drafting a successful Playoff team is to first figure out who you think we will win each game. Then look at those teams and decide which players are fantasy relevant. Every team with the exception of Seattle has a legit shot at making the Super Bowl. There is no dominant team that is playing heads above the rest of the other NFL teams with possibly... read more

Fantasy Playoff Draft Kit: WR RANKS

Posted by in Fantasy Advice,Wide Receivers on Jan 5th 2011 and last modified on Jan 6th 2011. (Print This)

The NFL playoffs kick off this weekend giving potential fantasy playoff owners only a short time to draft and organize their teams.  To help make your lives easier we ranked every player who could become relevant at some point during the playoffs.  Like the other positions, the wide receivers are ranked based on the projected number of games played.  For instance, we're assuming the Eagles and Patriots face off in the Super Bowl giving players like Welker, Branch and Maclin more value.  I'm a huge Greg Jennings fan, but if the Packers go one and done, he won't be able to help me much. 1) Roddy White - ATL - WR 2) Wes Welker - NEP - WR 3) Jeremy Maclin - PHI - WR 4) Mike Wallace - PIT - WR 5) Deion Branch - NEP - WR 6) Reggie... read more

Drafting a successful fantasy playoff team takes a completely different strategy then in the regular season.  The key to a successful fantasy playoff team is projecting who you think will play in the big game.  The problem with this strategy, is that's it's incredibly difficult to do. Outside of the Seahawks every team has a legitimate chance of reaching the Super Bowl.  The key is to fill your roster with as many players who you believe will play in the most games. When drafting you quarterbacks you can't be afraid to double up.  If you draft Brady, Roethlisberger, Ryan or Cutler your going to need another quarterback who will be playing this weekend.  If you draft one of the other eight signal callers playing this weekend, try and draft one of the the other four who have the week... read more

The real Playoffs are here and what better way to watch them than to extend the fantasy season. If you haven't done fantasy football playoffs edition, it is essentially almost a last man standing. Any dope can truly win this, because you never know what is going to happen in the NFL PLayoffs. The owner who takes the Seattle Seahawks and they have a deep run into the Playoffs looks like a genius, get bounced and they lose the position. Simple as that! So, if you lost out on your league's trophy, now is the time for redemption. Harry Dunn once said to Lloyd Christmas and I quote, "Just when I thought you couldn't get any dumber, you pull a stunt like this, and totally REDEEM yourself." Let's take a look at the Rankings for the Entire Playoffs: 1) Pittsburgh Steelers - PIT - DF 2) New Orleans... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's puts a wrap on the season as we release our Week 17 Quarterback Rankings. Take a look at the rankings and see the names of some of these quarterbacks that are starting, it's ugly. On top of that certain players slip in the rankings because they probably won't play the whole game (Tom Brady) in games that really mean nothing. Week 17: Quarterback Rankings 1) Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB, vs. Chicago Bears, Sun 1:00 PM 2) Philip Rivers - SDC - QB, at Denver Broncos, Sun 4:15 PM 3) Peyton Manning - IND - QB, vs. Tennessee Titans, Sun 1:00 PM 4) Drew Brees - NOR - QB, vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Sun 1:00 PM 5) Matt Schaub - HOU - QB,... read more
