Welcome Back! Sidney Rice exploded back onto the fantasy map last week. He'll have to step up once again with Percy out.
We love Greg Jennings this week. Detroit will have no answer for the stud WR. James Starks should provide the team with decent balance. If he becomes effective between the tackles, opposing safeties will be forced to pick their poison. The Top-10 is stacked with favorable match-ups. We expect both DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin to have solid outings vs. the Cowboys. True, Big D’s Defense has improved, but they’ll be no match for the speed of Mike Vick and company. Don’t be surprised if Maclin out-produces his teammate. Boldin is coming off his best outing in weeks. With the Texan’s dead awful defense on tap, expect continued success. Todd Heap’s absence will force Flacco to be more heavily reliant on his stud. Tampa’s Mike Williams appears to be a go this weekend vs. the Redskins. Williams has been battling nagging injuries this week, but has returned to practice and is expected to start. Continue to monitor the injury report, but if he plays, he’ll produce. He was targeted a league-high 14 times last week. Vincent Jackson, Steve Smith and Hakeem Nicks are all scheduled to return to the playing field. True, they are elite talents, they may need a week to shake off the rust. Speaking of shaking off the rust – Sidney Rice exploded back onto the fantasy scene last week. Even if Favre sits, Rice’s potential should not be effected. The loss of Matt Cassal hurts Dwayne Bowe owners. Expect the Chiefs to try and win this one on the ground.
Sneak Plays:
Anthony Armstrong: With Santans Moss’ hammy still slowing him down, look for Armstrong to build off of his 6 catch, 97 yard, 1 TD performance from last week. The Skins will be facing a Talib-less Tampa secondary. He’s become the team’s deep threat, but has grown to show decent possession skills.
Lance Moore: Moore’s value will remain as long as Reggie Bush stays on the sideline. The targets are there, but the yards need work. He’s a solid PPR play, but could see pay-dirt vs. the Rams. Meachem has a better bet a for a big-play, but Moore has been the more consistent producer.
Roy E. Williams: Wow, this is a gamble, but with Dez done, Roy Williams needs to step up. With Jason Witten battling an ankle injury and the potential return of Asante Samuel, Williams should see some added targets. His given us glimpses of talent, but remains inconsistent. Feel like rolling the dice?
