Fantasy Football Brother's would like to take the chance to wish all our reader's a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. We appreciate all the responses we have received about the site and look forward to giving our reader's the chance to win a fantasy title. We head into Week 12 and injuries are starting to mount. If you have Hakeem Nicks, you are surely disappointed to know that he will miss the next three weeks with a lower leg injury. The only hope is that he returns by the Fantasy Playoffs. Now is the time to prepare your team for the stretch run if you haven't done so through trades. It's time to scour the waiver wire and find the player(s) that might help your team in the week's to come. Week 12 also had a couple of storylines. Titan's head man Jeff Fisher benching quarterback Vince... read more

1St Look: Waivers

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Nov 23rd 2010 and last modified on Nov 24th 2010. (Print This)

Most leagues waiver wires should be pretty thin at this point in the season.  With the playoffs just around the corner most owners should be adding the final pieces to their playoff rosters.  Now is not the time to sit on your hands.  Owners need to remain active and pay attention to injuries and other relevant player news.  Sure you might be set at receiver, but what if Malcom Floyd is available?  Add players who could have an impact even though you may not need them today.  Things change quickly in the NFL.  Another thing to consider is adding players who could become fantasy relevant down the stretch.  Try and look ahead and add players who could have a chance to make an impact later in the season.  Guys like Tashard Choice could get an opportunity in weeks 15 and 16 to prove... read more

1st Look: Fantasy Relevant Injuries Week 11

Posted by in 1st Look,Injuries on Nov 22nd 2010 and last modified on Nov 24th 2010. (Print This)

Week 11 had a few notable injuries, and with fantasy playoffs quickly approaching it is crucial to pay attention to the status updates for some of these players going forward.  Brandon Marshall, Mike Williams (SEA), Austin Collie, Vernon Davis and Hakeem Nicks specifically could have a real fantasy impact if they miss significant time due to their injuries.  Be sure to follow the status updates thoughout the week, and if you have any questions, drop us a line!  That's what we're here for... Brandon Marshall-WR-MIA:  Marshall left his game on Thursday evening after apparently injuring his right hamstring.  His injury occurred after he caught a pass and moved quickly to avoid a tackle just before half time.  He finished the day with 3 catches for 41yds.  His injury appears to be somewhat serious, and for a guy who... read more

Week 11: Tight End Rankings

Posted by in Rank on Nov 19th 2010 (Print This)

Week 11 Tight End ranks are here, and the biggest question of the week is whether or not Gates will be healthy enough to start on MNF.  This has left his fantasy owners in a quandry, and it couldn't happen at a worse time for many fantasy teams!  I expect that he will not play, and if he does it will be in a limited fashion.  I advise that his fantasy owners should plan for the worst and find an alternate.  (Best case scenario is to grab Randy McMichael off of waivers..  See Below..) 1) Antonio Gates - SDC - TE, vs. Denver Broncos, Mon 8:30 PM If Gates can manage to get on the field Monday night, then he is worthy of a start. It looks like he will be a gametime decision, which may leave many... read more

Week 11: WR Ranks & Write Ups

Posted by in Fantasy Advice,Ranks,Wide Receivers on Nov 19th 2010 and last modified on Nov 20th 2010. (Print This)

Last week was the debut of our "Sneaky Play" section. We went 4 for 4 with Mike Thomas, Mario Manningham, Nate Washington and Steve Breaston. We expect all these guys to produce yet again this weekend. With Steve Smith sidelined, Manningham will remain an  integral part of the passing attack. Mike Sims Walker is expected to sit vs. the Browns, leaving Mike Thomas with a ton of targets. Washington and Breaston are longer shots to produce, but offer decent upside if your looking for patch duty. Want some new names? Lets take a look: James Jones: With Donald Driver's continued quad concerns, Jones may once again have the opportunity to start. He's been inconsistent at times, but is coming off of his best game of the... read more

Week 11 RB Ranks & Write Ups

Posted by in Ranks,Running Backs on Nov 19th 2010 and last modified on Nov 20th 2010. (Print This)

Every Friday we unleash our final ranks of the week. We add thoughts and  insights to go along with any other concerns to help you the reader dominate your league. Every season we talk about the days when a Running back could tote the rock 300 times or more in a season. Since the 2007 season there have been 6 running backs or less that have had 300 or more carries. 2007  there were 6 RBs with 300+, 2008 5 RBs and 2009 6 RBs. What is my point you ask? As of right now there are ten backs that if things stay on course, could have  300 or more carries. Here are the projected carry totals for the aforementioned ten backs. Adrian Peterson 350, Chris Johnson 347, Steven Jackson 341, Frank Gore... read more
