Some owners have been scrambling all week trying to find an adequate starting quarterback for Sunday. It was probably a little more difficult than some might have thought. Due to the first six team bye week, we will be without Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan, Jay Cutler and the Vick/Kolb combination. All solid weekly starters and that's before we take into account the Tony Romo injury. Most leagues waiver wire probably had owners fighting over players like Matt Stafford, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh Freeman and in some cases Matt Moore. Needless to say some fantasy teams could be in a little bit of trouble this weekend. All four players could provide you with a solid performances but there's a greater chance that at least two and maybe even three will cost you a win. It's a tough pill... read more

Every Friday the Brotherhood drops their positional ranks with write ups. With the RBs we look at every game, match up and other factors before placing each player in their respective ranks. Our ranks move players each week according to all of our determining factors. It's way too easy to rank these players according to stats and much harder to do so when almost every team has been effected by the injury bug in some form. This week we have big risers to go along with some big drop offs. Plug of the week. Be sure to take advantage of our free Projection tool, so aptly named the 8-Ball (Not Magic). There are both Chiefs backs in the top 15 with a very advantageous situation against the Bills this week. The Bills are coming off a heart breaking loss, that they should have won. In Carolina... read more

1) Andre Johnson - HOU - WR, at Indianapolis Colts, Mon 8:30 PM - When healthy, there is no one who is better. Indy has numerous injuries, but Peyton will push for a shootout. Both these defenses will allow points to be scored. 2) Reggie Wayne - IND - WR, vs. Houston Texans, Mon 8:30 PM - Wayne will reap the benefits of Collie, Clark and Addai's absence. Peyton will go back to "Old Faithful". 3) Calvin Johnson - DET - WR, vs. Washington Redskins, Sun 1:00 PM - Matt Stafford's return will boost Johnson's stats. Shaun Hill relied too heavily on his TEs. Stafford will target his WR1 all day long. Washington loves to give up fantasy stats to opposing WRs. 4) Brandon Marshall - MIA - WR, at Cincinnati Bengals, Sun 1:00 PM - We've seen glimpses... read more

Week 8 has some great matchups for Fantasy Guru's to exploit! There will also be some big question marks. The biggest question out there is Indy's Jacob Tamme. Can he become the Dallas Clark type of TE that fantasy owners drool over? My thought is that it will take some time, and this week will be a struggle. (Imagine the pressure on him to perform! Yikes..) If your looking for a go to guy this week, I think Cooley and Witten have the most potential. Yes, I know those guys are already on someone else's fantasy team... So how about Kellen Winslow or Tony Moeaki?? Or if you have the guts to gamble with Peyton Manning as your Ace in the hole try Tamme and prove me wrong! 1) Antonio Gates - SDC - TE, vs. Tennessee Titans, Sun 4:05 PM Gates played injured last... read more

The Week 8 Player Projections are here! I know they're late and I was reminded of that by our esteemed leader Bill Sherman. The truth lies somewhere in between that I lost data due to operator error (Thanks Eric) and the fact that I have been wrapped up in college football lately. My sincere apologies. Fantasy Football Brother's rolls on and as we take a look at the Week 8 Player Projections there are some noticeable names missing due to injury. Here's looking at you Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai, Malcom Floyd and Tony Romo (who according to Roy Williams, Jon Kitna is just as good as Romo) We'll see about that. Week 7 brought us more parity, though we can just call it a competitive balance. What has happened to the New Orleans Saints? They got manhandled by Cleveland last week, maybe Eric Mangini read Bill's... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's heads into Week 8 of the NFL Season and we take a look at kicker's. There were some strong kicking performances last week as David Akers and Dan Carpenter were solid and put up over 12 points in most leagues. This week's top kicker is Rob Bironas of the Tennessee Titans. He has proven to be one of the more steadier kickers in the league and plays for a team that has gone through some red zone struggles. He has a nice matchup against the San Diego Chargers this week on the road. Looking for a sleeper, look at Sebastian Janikowski of the Oakland Raiders. He has a good matchup at home against the Seattle Seahawks whose defense has been playing well as of late. We think the Raiders will give Janikowski plenty of chances to put up points as they are desperately thin... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's takes a look at team defenses for Week 8. The New England Patriots grab the top spot this week as they take on a Minnesota Vikings team that is being held hostage by the egomaniac that is Brett Favre. The Patriots have been playing solid defense as of late and the younger players are starting to show their worth. A sleeper defense or bye week filler? Look at the Tampa Bay Bucs who take on the Arizona Cardinals on the road. Tampa's defense should be licking their chops with Max Hall under center for the Cardinals, add to that the lack of running game by Arizona and the Bucs are a solid play. Looking deeper? Check out the St. Louis Rams who are at home against the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers have been atrocious on offense this season and if anyone can... read more

It's what we do, and we love doing it. 1) Mike Williams - SEA - WR Williams followed up his 10 catch week 6 performance with another strong showing on Sunday. He has clearly emerged as the #1 receiving option for the Seahawks. He had a game high 16 targets and managed... read more

Week 8 could prove to be a tough one for fantasy owners. Teams will already be without Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, Kevin Kolb, MichaelVick and Jay Cutler due to the bye week. Tony Romo could be lost for eight weeks or longer (sorry Rob) and Favre is dealing with multiple fractures in his ankle, and could miss Sundays tilt with the Patriots. Speaking of the Patriots. How bad did Tom Brady and the offense look on Sunday? They need to play much better than that if Brady is going to help you win a title. I know Orton is a top 3 fantasy quarterback, but do the Broncos hand the reins over to Tim Tebow if the team keeps losing? Owners need to ask themselves, do I Sell high or ride it out? The Broncos will be playing in London this weekend and need... read more
