Fantasy Football Brother’s takes a look at Week 1 in the NFL and ranks the Defense/Special Teams. We give you the necessary advice to put the best possible lineup in to maximize your point potential week in and week out.
There is a basic rule with D/ST’s that apply to fantasy rosters. Fantasy owner’s should only be carrying one D/ST’s on their roster. There is too much value lost at other positions by carrying two D/ST’s. Take a chance on a deep sleeper and drop that second D/ST’s. Who knows, you may hit the next hot name off of the waiver wire and he could already be on your roster?
I’m sure everyone remembers that last season the Pittsburgh Steelers were the consensus number one D/ST’s to start the season and look where they ended up at the end of last season. They are currently ranked outside of the top 10.
Fantasy owner’s will sometimes play matchups on a week to week basis. This is a good strategy if your league has unlimited roster moves and you didn’t select one of the top D/ST’s.
