Fantasy Football Brother's recently took part in the 20-team Fantasy College Football Invitational (FCFI). We wanted to test ourselves against the best that the industry has to offer. The FCFI is the best forum to do just that.  With competition including Sports Illustrated, Athlon, Rotoworld, CBS Sports, and Fanball as well as numerous other sites that college football world was well represented. The Brother's had the 15th pick overall, so we had to be sharp in our preparation and be on point. Our concentration was on player's from the non-major conferences, but like in life, a fantasy football draft doesn't always go according to plan. So we packed our sack lunch and set out to work. We knew it was going to be a long process(3 hours), but as long as mom cut the crust off the PB & J we would be fine. The scoring format used in the FCFI... read more

Draft time is here! It's what we've been preparing for all off-season. Your other responsibilities and obligations take a back seat as you begin to set your sites on a fantasy title. Pre-Season Week 3 often reveals the most, but some of us have our drafts this weekend. Much has happened to the wide-out pool: Sidney Rice could miss half the season. Vincent Jackson is still waiting to be traded. Percy Harvin's continued struggle with Migraines is concerning. Dez appears ready to get back on the playing field, while Chaz Schilens finds himself side-lined once again. Who's stalk is rising? We like Jabar Gaffney, Malcom Floyd and Johnny Knox. Josh Cribbs has played more of a role in Cleveland's passing game than most expected. Wes Welker has proven to be an incredible healer. Larry Fitzgerald cringed as he watched his starting quarterback... read more

The Brotherhood has been hard at work with our draft kit roll out. Last week we ranked all of the RBs and this is our combined ranks. There was a ton of debate here as usual with fists being pounded on the table and lots of spirited discussion to put it mildly. We will be updating our positional ranks early and often as we head towards the start of the season.  And as a note to the reader, even though there are some injuries already, we are not going to move the players up and down the ranks due to a minor injury.  *Asterisks Are Next... read more

The NFL has kicked off a new season and that means it is officially fantasy football time. Now that HBO's Hard Knocks are in full swing, it's only fitting that the Jets take the top spot in our team defense rankings. Philosophies differ when it comes to taking a team defense.  Of course, it all depends on your league format and scoring.  In some league formats, a team defense can finish in the top 10 in overall scoring.  These types of leagues make team defenses more valuable.  We always preach waiting until the later rounds before selecting one.  Our thought is that you can find an... read more

In the fantasy world kickers are undervalued and they are often near the top of point totals in most leagues. Fantasy owner's should look for kickers that play for potent offense's and also kick in friendly environments. Owner's should also be looking for kickers whose offenses' also stall in the red-zone, here's looking at you Rian Lindell. This isn't to say that you should reach for one in the early rounds. A general rule of thumb that we here at Fantasy Football Brother's support is to draft one kicker, then find a kicker during the bye week that has a good matchup. Another rule that we also go by is to draft a kicker in one of the last two rounds. Our thought is that you lose to much value at other positions if you reach on a kicker. I know I said they are undervalued earlier, but don't... read more

Fantasy Football Brother's is back with the third installment of the Pre-Season Awards. This week we take a look at the tight end position. We hope you enjoy! TE MVP?-----Bill and Rob agreed on one thing and that is Antonio Gates. Little known fact that Gates has missed one game in the last five seasons. With LaDainian Tomlinson gone, we think Gates will see more targets in the red zone. We also think that Gates is the most consistent out of all the tight ends. TE Too High?----I have to agree with Paul's selection of Vernon Davis. He will be way overvalued this season as... read more

This story has nothing to do with fantasy football, I just thought it should be written. Football is a tough sport, no doubt about it. That's why it's so popular amongst fans throughout the world. It's a violent sport where the player's are unbelievably big and strong, not to mention blazing fast. That makes for violent collisions where strange things can happen to a player's body, whether it be concussions or broken bones. This is a game where you have to be a little... read more

The tight end position has turned into one of the deepest positions in the NFL. While there are four really solid options who will always start the tight end run in most drafts, smart and savvy owners know they can wait and get one in the later rounds that will offer them great value with huge upside. When another owner wastes his pick on a TE, it just means somebody you like or need will... read more
