The Bears Offense Gets To Face These Guys Week 16:
A strength of schedule ranking is an underrated and valuable tool that can help fantasy managers gain an edge over other owners. Although I wouldn’t plan my entire draft strategy around one, it can help when it comes to making difficult decisions. For instance, If I’m having trouble deciding between Ahmad Bradshaw and Arian Foster in the 6th round, I might select Bradshaw because Foster faces one of the more difficult schedules this year.
The problem with a strength of schedule ranking, is that it is based off of last years overall results. We know that some NFL teams are going to exceed expectations and be much better than any of us thought they would be. We also know that some teams are going to fail to live up to their pre-season ranking. Like most fantasy rankings, it’s not an exact science. My goal when creating these ranks was to give you an overall idea of what teams face this year, especially in the fantasy playoffs.
These ranking are based on opponents win loss record from ’09. I highlighted weeks 14 – 17 to gauge each teams fantasy football playoff difficulty. Difficult match-ups are highlighted in Red with easier ones highlighted in Green.
