There were alot of talented runners to leave the college ranks last year, but that doesn't mean the cupboard is bare by any means. There is a solid mix of productive runners and backs looking to start making their mark on the college game. That means the depth of talent in this year's class will provide fantasy owner's the chance to build a stable of backs or wait and build their team around other areas that don't provide as much talent down the rankings (wide receiver). It would be wise for fantasy owner's to build their team around the quarterback-wide receiver positions first as a top notch signal caller is invaluable and the wide receiver class is somewhat thin this season. The running back position offers value all the way down the rankings. The truth is a talented back like Jacquizz Rodgers is not that different from a... read more

Keeper League Rankings-Quarterbacks-

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Jul 31st 2010 and last modified on Aug 1st 2010. (Print This)

Many fantasy owner's play in keeper leagues. Every year we must decide what player is the best fit for our team. This can be decided by many different things, but in keeper league's age can be a deciding factor. Some keeper league's only keep one player. I play in a league where we keep eight player's, so deciding who to keep and when to let them walk is a big decision. It can burn your roster for year's to come and regret can set in. Yes, there is such a thing as rebuilding in these kinds of keeper leagues. So below is a list of the quarterbacks that have the most value in keeper league systems. Keeper League Quarterback Ranks 1) Aaron Rodgers - GRE - QB 2) Drew Brees - NOR - QB 3) Peyton Manning - IND - QB 4) Tony Romo - DAL... read more

F.F.B.’s QB Awards

Posted by in Fantasy Advice on Jul 30th 2010 (Print This)

CONTINUING OUR WEEKLY COVERAGE ON QUARTERBACKS! We are proud to present the FantasyFootball Brothers QB Pre-Season Awards where our writers weigh in on all of the tough questions surrounding the position. We don't always agree on everything and it's always interesting when all the writers hand in their answers to these questions. Remember we love to hear from our fans, tell us what you think. By looking at the table you can see players who we are high on and players who we think will disappoint fantasy owner's this season. QB Sleeper-Paul's choice of Matt Cassel is interesting. His reasoning is that with Charlie Weis calling the plays in Kansas City and some added offensive weapons in Thomas Jones and Dexter McCluster the offense will be better. Paul also adds that with the maturing of Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe, and the reemergence... read more

QB Draft Kit week continues today with our ranks and writeups. We are also taking a look into our crystal ball and with our 2010 stat projections. There was much debate here at Fantasy Football Brothers surrounding our combined ranks. There always is when you have five guys with five different opinions. We took each of our  five individual ranks and combined them to come up with this rank. We will continuously update these ranks and projections as the NFL gets into full swing. 1) Drew Brees - NOR - QB CMP ATT PYDS PTD INT RUSH ATT RUSH YDS RUSH TD 399 585 4790 35 12 25 36 2 The reigning Super Bowl MVP enters 2010 as our #1 signal caller. After four straight 4,000 yard seasons it would be a crime not to rank Brees #1. The Saints offense comes back virtually intact so we can expect him to pass for more gaudy passing numbers in'10. The only thing hurting... read more

We’re kicking off our FREE 2010 Draft Kit with the most important position in football and arguably all of sports.  Quarterback’s are the most important players on the football field and are far and away the most crucial to a teams overall success.  (Disclaimer: I am the QB guru here, so I am a little biased on the position)The NFL has evolved into a pass first league, as the league has changed the rules that cater to the offense.  More teams are spreading the field and throwing at least as much or more than they ever have before.  This trend will continue to grow, and is the reason why front office personnel around the league will do almost anything to secure a top signal caller.  Teams know that without a strong quarterback there's a good chance you can kiss your playoff hopes goodbye. The same is true... read more

Draft Day Philosophy/2010 College QB Ranks

Posted by in Fantasy Advice,Quarterbacks,Ranks on Jul 25th 2010 and last modified on Jul 28th 2010. (Print This)

The veteran's of college fantasy football have been aware of a trend that is just now rearing its' head in the NFL landscape of fantasy football. That would be the importance of quarterbacks and that going against the traditional RB-RB draft scenario can be rewarding. College Fantasy Football is built on and around the signal callers, especially the dual threat quartebacks that can air it out as well as run the rock. These players can be found far and wide in college football, but one has to look in the right places, such as Middle Tennesee St. or Nevada, both of which boasted 1,000 yard rushers in Dwight Dasher and Colin Kaepernick. The gun-slingers also put up a ton of fantasy points and none are better than Houston's Case Keenum.Keenum was absolutely silly last season and put up a stat line of 492-700 for 5,671 yards and... read more

The tight end position is extremely deep this season and it's a position fantasy owner's can wait on to address other needs during the draft. For those of you looking for a sleeper, look to the left and see Tony Moeaki of the Kansas City Chiefs. I have to admit I'm higher on Moeaki than most people at FFB. I even think he might be a little low here. The Chief's don't have a pass catching tight end and haven't had one since Tony Gonzalez left town. Moeaki was a solid pass catcher at Iowa who played in a pro style offense, but injuries plagued him throughout his career. If he can stay healthy and the Chief's offense can be better than it was last year, then what we have here is a bona fide sleeper. Be on the lookout for our draft kit which will give more... read more

Early in this fantasy season there isn't a much bigger question out there.  Fantasy owner's are having a tough time making up their mind which Raider is the right one to grab as we approach draft time. Another aspect of this debate is which ever Raider ends up being the bell cow could be able to push your team up and over the top.  The reason why most owners are debating this is because the starter will end up getting drafted later than where they should. This is just a bonus since an increase in their value just makes you look like you got a steal. After all thousand yard backs don't exactly grow on trees after the second or third round. The problem is which of the Raider backs is going to emerge? Michael Bush is a popular sleeper candidate this year among fantasy experts, while Darren McFadden is the... read more
