Here we are in Week 17. If your reading this, you're most likely in your fantasy championship. Unfortunately for you, your leagues goes right up until Week 17. Playing to the very end has it's disadvantages. True, it extends your enjoyment an other week, but playoff considerations, sitting players and injuries all begin to take it's toll on your line-up. There is nothing more frustrating than drafting a contender, performing well all year, just to have your studs sit come playoff time. Colt owners were the first to feel the wrath this week, as coach Caldwell decided it was time to protect his players rather than their undefeated hopes. It's a harsh reality, but the NFL does not revolve around fantasy football. At this point in the season, you have more to lose than... read more

The Brotherhood wishes all of our readers a Happy New Year. Week 17 is by far the hardest of all of the weeks to assess. There are a million things in play this week from injuries, to playoff berths, to resting for the playoffs. I have struggled all week trying to read between the lines in coaching speak, trying to figure out who will play, for how long, and how much playing time under what circumstances. The Cardinals position players will either have everything to play for, or nothing to play for by the time their game rolls around at 4 o'clock based on what happens in the Minnesota game. The Cardinals could be playing for a first round bye. The AFC playoff picture has a ton of team on the outside looking in, with all involved playing for a... read more

Week 17 and Fantasy Football Brothers has the kicking situation covered in your league. This is a tough week to gauge kickers because most teams will be resting their starters on offense, as well as defense. That doesn't mean there aren't points to take advantage of with your kickers, because there are some who have decent matchups, starting with Matt Prater of the Denver Broncos. Prater has been consistent throughout the year and now the Broncos get to take on the Chiefs and their leaky defense. The Broncos are playing for a Wild Card so we know nobody will be resting in this game, although Brandon Marshall will be a scratch for being a malcontent. What else is new? There are also some kickers who have battled back from injuries, notably Neil Rackers and Adam Vinatieri, though they... read more

It's the season finale and it's also the close of the fantasy season for most, unless you play the fantasy playoff season that is. The D/ST's units have been a crapshoot this year and I hope most of you remember that when it comes draft time next year. There is no need to go out and spend a high draft pick on a D/ST unit, they can be found, and matchups can be played. For those of you in your final games it must be tough being in a league where the championship is played in Week 17 where players will undoubtedly be sitting. Week 17 is here, and for most leagues, the championship has already been decided. We can rest easy (with Peyton Manning and the Colts.. Booo) as we wait for the playoff picture to unravel. Our next fantasy mission: Draft a team for our fantasy playoffs. With that being said, week 17 is certainly the most difficult to rank. Studs are being benched, rookies are being started to prove their worth, and the word "normal" is the farthest from the truth. So, read these ranks with a grain of salt, and beware that if certian studs do play, it may be for a limited time. Have a sit/start, or waiver wire question? – Send it in.
