Peyton to Wayne coming soon to the NFL Playoffs.

Fantasy Football Brothers is in full swing  for the NFL Playoffs. The Fantasy Playoffs are a great way to keep your Fantasy season going….shhhhh….”Just don’t tell the wife.” If you missed out on a championship because Steven Jackson decided not to play in Week 16, then this is the time for redemption. These rankings are in depth and they provide for the leagues that do select backups at their respected positions.

Fantasy Football Brothers takes a look at the Wide Receiver rankings for 2009 Playoff Leagues and these rankings are done by a last man standing type rules. This of course means the highest ranked players we believe will go the furthest in the NFL Playoffs. If you own Reggie Wayne and the Colts are knocked out, you only have one other wide receiver and your flex position (RB/WR) to net you points. While we don’t think this will be the case, you never know, anything can happen in the post-season. Playoff Leagues draft only one player at a position and no moves are allowed, again your player gets knocked out and he is done, that is where the last man standing comes in. Leagues usually run with the basic 1-QB<—>2-RB<—>2-WR<—>1-RB/WR<—>1-TE<—>1-K<—>1-D/ST type roster.

    These rankings are pretty good.

Off the cuff it looks like Meachem is too high, but you must believe the Saints are going to the Super Bowl. I happen to think its either the Vikes or Packers, but opinions are worthless here.

Boldin who is hurt pretty badly looks to be too high.

Roy Williams who is terrible is too high.

I like James Jones and Maclain as sleepers. The playoffs do produce random wide receivers who become heros after all.
