Henne to the rescue in Week 17.

Henne to the rescue in Week 17.

With so many teams resting starters this week, submitting your line up could become difficult. Guys like Chad Henne, Matt Moore and Devin Aromashodu should be added to your roster and inserted into your line up over guys we’re certain will sit.  I know your studs got you to this point, but it’s the guys on this list who could bring you home a title.  Make sure you pay attention to what the coaches are saying this week.  Most will indicate if certain players will be rested and who may see an increase in playing time.  It’s not the way we like to wrap up fantasy seasons, but it is what it is.  It’s why most leagues have moved to a 16 week season.  If your in a league where your playoffs run through week 17, you should consider changing it.  There is nothing worse than losing because some players are being rested.  Trust me on this one.  Good luck to all competing for a title this weekend.

1) Chad Henne – MIA – QB, vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, Sat 1:00 PM
Henne has been one of the hottest quarterbacks over the last four weeks. He’s averaging just over 305 yards a game in that span. If you own Manning, Brady or any other signal caller in danger of sitting then Henne could be your man.

2) David Garrard – JAC – QB, at Cleveland Browns, Sat 1:00 PM
Garrard hasn’t exactly had a season to remember. Although, if your looking for help then you could do worse. The Jags have a plus match up vs the Browns on Saturday.

3) Matt Moore – CAR – QB, vs. New Orleans Saints, Sat 1:00 PM
Moore has done a solid job since taking over as the starting quarterback. In his last two games he has combined for 470 yards and 6 TD passes.

4) Devin Aromashodu – CHI – WR, at Detroit Lions, Sat 1:00 PM
We’ve been mentioning Aromashodu in this spot for the last three weeks. Last night was just part of his coming out party. In his last three games he’s combined for 17 receptions for 236 yards with 2 TD’s. He’s worth owning and plugging in as a low end WR2.

5) Earl Bennett – CHI – WR, at Detroit Lions, Sat 1:00 PM
Bennett is another guy that has played well enough for the Bears over the last few weeks. If your in a bind, you could do worse.

6) Arian Foster – HOU – RB, vs. New England Patriots, Sat 1:00 PM
Foster had 19 carries for 97 yards and a score. We can only assume he’s going to play the same roll vs the Patriots this weekend. If he does then he makes a low end RB2 or flex play.

7) Maurice Morris – DET – RB, vs. Chicago Bears, Sat 1:00 PM
Morris didn’t do much but he did have 22 combined touches. He’s not spectacular but you could do worse if your looking for a low end RB2.

8) Brandon Jackson – GRE – RB, at Arizona Cardinals, Sat 4:15 PM
I don’t know if I’m ready to anoint Jackson as a legitimate flex play just yet. 90% of his touches came when the game was well in hand. However, it’s worth noting that the Packers have been trying to get him more involved for years now. He may have earned himself third downs and even maybe a couple of series to spell Grant.

9) Shonn Greene – NYJ – RB, vs. Cincinnati Bengals, Sat 1:00 PM
Greene looked explosive on some of his carries. He racked up 95 yards on 16 carries and could see 10-15 touches against the Bengals.

10) Michael Bush – OAK – RB, vs. Baltimore Ravens, Sat 4:15 PM
Bush had 11 touches for 59 yards vs the Browns. He draws a difficult match up this weekend vs the Ravens but you could do worse.

11) Jabar Gaffney – DEN – WR, vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sat 4:15 PM
Gaffney emerged as a solid option on Sunday. He had 7 catches on 8 targets for 69 yards with 2 scores. He makes a decent WR3 option.

12) Lex Hilliard – MIA – RB, vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, Sat 1:00 PM
If Ricky Williams is unable to go then Hilliard would get the start. He has a tough match up vs the Steelers so taper expectations.

13) Chris Ogbonnaya – STL – RB, vs. San Francisco 49ers, Sat 1:00 PM
If Steven Jackson is unable to go then Ogbonnaya and Kenneth Darby would split carries. Neither is a solid play vs the stout 49ers run defense.  However, if your in a bind…
