Could Wells Have Finally Over Taken Hightower As The Starter?

Tuesdays are our 1ST LOOK at this weeks fantasy matchups. Now that all of our reader’s playoffs are in full swing with the majority of leagues playing their semi-finals(or ESPN second first Round Matchup) while the rest of our reader’s league playoffs are just beginning this weekend.   Here at the Brotherhood we roll on helping out you, the reader, to achieve that most coveted item, your league title. I said it last week and I’ll say it again this week: Now is not the time to get crazy with matchups. Go with what got you to the playoffs, besides us of course. I mean your lineup. We received a ton of questions this week asking: “should I start Jerome Harrison over Frank Gore?” Or “Gore hasn’t done anything in like, three weeks”. I understand the panic, we all do, we all have been there. Out thinking your self is only going to lead to a headache and heartache. Here are a few examples of exactly what I’m talking about. In the Brotherhood’s friends and family league which by the way is the roughest league I play in. The league has cut throat maneuverings and not so nice message board banter and also my favorite uncomfortable moment of all time. It is now referred to as the Hulk incident. Where one of the league members ripped into the other league owners to such a degree that his display of rage effectively ended the bbq and scared everyone involved. Girlfriends and wives were like, “is this serious?”. People walking by stopped dead in there tracks and stared. It was an excellent tirade, but yikes! Anyways two league owners who were both playing in the first round decided to make panic moves. One owner called me Saturday and said he wanted to pick up Bo Scaife for Ben Watson. Granted Scaife had been playing better than Watson as of late, but why make the change now? A hot TE really? Is there such a thing? My point is this.  That move was a four point swing in the wrong direction. That is a lot of points to be giving away in the playoffs. The other league owners went out and picked up Josh Morgan in the last minute. Literally 12:57 and I just scratched my head and tried to tell myself maybe he knows something I don’t. Maybe he is tapped into some higher fantasy power because he has a brand new baby and the lack of sleep has given him special powers. Needless to say his picking up of Morgan and starting him, instead of playing a red hot Kenny Britt who was on his bench literally cost him the game. The 6 point swing is exactly what he lost by. The point is: relax and go with what got you here. Your studs and the Brotherhood. Come and check us out all week as we get you ready for the weekend.

Some RB Notes: RB Kevin Smith is out for the year. RB Maurice Morris will assume starting duties. In case you were wondering Arizona Week 15 and San Francisco Week 16. RB Brian Westbrook could potentially be back this week. RB Michael Turner’s status has not be addressed as of this writing. In Texas H.C. Gary Kubiak has said RB Arrian Foster will be showcased. RB Correl Buckhalter was seen on crutches after his game. RB Ray Rice suffered a chest injury but reportedly not serious. We will keep you updated all week long and if any injuries are going to effect players playing time it will be reflected in the Final ranks on Friday.
