Matt Schaub is the top option in Week 17.

Week 17 is upon us. The final week of the NFL regular season inevitably signals the end of the 2009 Fantasy season. If your reading this then your probably playing for a title. I'm not a fan of the week 17 playoff format and will never play in a league that extends until this week. I feel like it takes away from everything owner's did throughout the year. To many teams rest players this week and I'm actually ok with it. I'm not ok with what the Colts did last weekend, but that's a separate rant all together. If you rode Peyton and Co. this far they either burned you last week or have you scrambling this week.  The key is to find players who have something to play for, but at this point in the season, it's... read more

Henne to the rescue in Week 17.

With so many teams resting starters this week, submitting your line up could become difficult. Guys like Chad Henne, Matt Moore and Devin Aromashodu should be added to your roster and inserted into your line up over guys we're certain will sit.  I know your studs got you to this point, but it's the guys on this list who could bring you home a title.  Make sure you pay attention to what the coaches are saying this week.  Most will indicate if certain players will be rested and who may see an increase in playing time.  It's not the way we like to wrap up fantasy seasons, but it is what it is.  It's why most leagues have moved to a 16 week season.  If your in a league where your playoffs run through week 17, you should consider changing... read more

The NFC two-seed is up for grabs. Who will pull it down?

CLICK HERE FOR YOUR UPDATED WR RANKS WEEK 17 Here we are in Week 17. If your reading this, you're most likely in your fantasy championship. Unfortunately for you, your leagues goes right up until Week 17. Playing to the very end has it's disadvantages. True, it extends your enjoyment an other week, but playoff considerations, sitting players and injuries all begin to take it's toll on your line-up. There is nothing more frustrating than drafting a contender, performing well all year, just to have your studs sit come playoff time. Colt owners were the first to feel the wrath this week, as coach Caldwell decided it was time to protect his players rather than their undefeated hopes. It's a harsh reality, but the NFL does not revolve around fantasy football. At this point in... read more

The "theft" of the year in most drafts.

CLICK HERE FOR WEEK 17 TE RANKS UPDATED SATURDAY 1/2 Week 17 is here, and for most leagues, the championship has already been decided.  We can rest easy (with Peyton Manning and the Colts..  Booo) as we wait for the playoff picture to unravel.  Our next fantasy mission:  Draft a team for our fantasy playoffs.  With that being said, week 17 is certainly the most difficult to rank.  Studs are being benched, rookies are being started to prove their worth, and the word "normal" is the farthest from the truth.  So, read these ranks with a grain of salt, and beware that if certian studs do play, it may be for a limited time. Herm wouldn't have pulled Manning.

We here at Fantasy Football Brothers first would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year. We decided to mix things up going into Week 17 after we were sickened by the Indianapolis Colts pulling their starters and "pissing" away a perfect season. If anyone heard Teddy Bruschi on ESPN, he was outspoken and critical of what they did. He brought up that it is not necessary to rest your players for the playoffs, that football players were football players. Given the Colts situation they would have earned the bye which gives them another week of rest. Bruschi was also honest about the Super Bowl XLII loss to the New York Giants that ended the Patriots perfect season in 2007. He said they weren't tired from playing all the games, they were just flat out beat by a more physical Giants... read more

1ST LOOK:WEEK 17 INJURIES

Hmmm I Wonder How Many Fantasy Owners I Just Hurt By Pulling Peyton?

While most owners just finished their seasons with the hope that they won their leagues, there are still a  few that play a Week 17 Championship and today we take our 1ST Look at the injuries around the NFL. Fantasy Football is tough enough to figure out with injuries and running back by committees and all of the other aspects that make fantasy difficult as it is. Leagues that play in week 17 are ridiculously hard to win because of the amount of unknown playing situations that occur this time of year. Just ask any owner that owns any of the Colts skill players. (No I don't own any Colts)Their chances of winning were severely changed once Jim Caldwell made the decision to pull his starters early in the second half. I won't even... read more

Steven Jackson has "manned" up this year.

This is an important week to be aware of what players are healthy and what players will be game time decisions. This is not the week to be gambling on a guy's health, if you have other healthy options on your roster, I would recommend starting a healthy player that you know won't burn you come game time or during the game. Jeremy Shockey owners know this as witnessed by Week 15's late scratch. There is also alot of concern about teams sitting players and resting them for the playoffs. We have received alot of questions about starting players such as Kyle Orton over Kurt Warner. The truth is you don't know if teams will sit their "studs" come game time, so in my opinion you are forced to start them. The following is a list of players... read more

Simply Electric!

Fantasy Football Brothers goes into Week 16 with our ears pinned back and our hair on fire. This is the week we have been looking forward to the whole season. This is it, the big one, the one where you collect your title and reap the rewards as you bask in the glory of fantasy greatness. Week 16 offers alot of good matchups in the NFL as teams are scrambling to fill the last playoff spots. Some of the more notable games this week are the San Diego Chargers at Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans at Miami Dolphins, New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos at Philadelphia Eagles. One of the games flying under the radar this week is the Jacksonville Jaguars taking on the New England Patriots in Foxboro. The Patriots have been offensively challenged their last four games and have... read more

Consensus Number One Pick Next Year?

At the Brotherhood we have been scrambling this week to get our final ranks out before the Brotherhood takes a Christmas break. We will stop answering questions from noon on Christmas Eve and will resume answering questions on December 26th. We will update the ranks and information through out the weekend to keep you completely up to date on all of the news that you can use. This week the Brotherhood was talking about how many people needed the once never imaginable combination of RB Quinton Ganther and TE Fred Davis to make their title game. As everyone knows by know that Ganther was able to get a one yard garbage touchdown after being pulled early in the blow out to the Giants. TE Fred Davis was held catchless in the first half making nervous owners all that... read more

WEEK 16 WR RANKS (HOLIDAY EDITION)

Game Time! Andre Johnson proves he's the best in the business.

Week 15 was an aerial assault on fantasy nation. DeSean Jackson's maturation into a complete player continued. Andre Johnson completely torched the Ram's ailing secondary. It looks like Mike Sims Walker once again can be counted upon for fantasy stats. Steve Smith looked like his former self with Matt Moore throwing him the ball. Ochocinco found the end-zone and gave a tasteful tribute to his fallen teammate. Vincent "Jacked-up" what was thought to be a solid Cincy secondary. After catching heavy fire for his half-hearted effort last week, Randy Moss bounced back, while Miles Austin stayed on track and found the end-zone yet again. Mike Wallace returned to the scene as he pulled off a "Santonio" to give Pitt the win vs. the Pack. Looking ahead to Week 16: Michael Crabtree could be in for his biggest... read more
