Waiting on Warner...
Turkey Day started the week off with a Bang! Miles Austin turned it back on as he beat Nnamdi Asomungha for 7 catches, 145 yards and a score. Jennings pulled another disappearing act, as Donald Driver continues to defy Father Time: 7 catches, 142 yards and a score. Megatron was a sneaky game-time active. He found pay dirt, but was visibly hampered throughout the game. After being held without a catch in last weeks game vs. the Redskins, Roy Will found the end-zone for the third time in five weeks. Brandon Marshall was thankful that Kyle Orton was back under-center. Fantasy GMs were thankful that they weren’t the one who drafted Eddie Royal.
Looking forward to Sunday: Mike Sims-Walker proceeds to prove he’s no fluke, while T.O. once again becomes a fantasy factor. They’re throwing Rice in Minny. Hines Ward and Derrick Mason persist in their quest to regain their youth, while Percy Harvin and Michael Crabtree are playing well beyond their years. Steve Smith’s recent resurgence may hit a speed bump this weekend vs. Darrelle Revis. Revis has been successful in shutting down Moss, Andre and Colston, but Smith presents a different style of player. Fitz, Boldin and Breaston are all crossing their fingers that Kurt Warner will play. The Cards have the most favorable match-up this week vs. a struggling Titans secondary. Tennessee has been beat for a league leading 25 passing touchdowns. Other favorable forecasts include: Ocho vs. Cleveland, Vincent Jackson vs. Kansas City and Housh/Burleson vs. St Louis.
Monday Night will provide us with plenty of fantasy action as the New England Patriots will travel down to the Super Dome to face the undefeated New Orleans Saints. The Hood has been higher on Wes Welker than any other site. Last Sunday he showed why as he chewed up the Jets for a ridiculous 15 catches for 192 yards. Moss and Welker present a very difficult tandem to scheme for. If you try to stop one, the other will make you pay. Monday Night should provide plenty of highlight action.
