Friday at Fantasy Football Brothers means write ups and final rankings. Week 8 marks the the mid season for the NFL. Roster decisions start to get harder and fantasy games start to become all the more important. One wrong decision could be the difference between a playoff berth or another lost season. We’re here to help you with those tough decisions. With six teams being on the bye, some fantasy owners will be scrambling to find an adequate replacement. Don’t let it be you. Week 8 is littered with division games that will no doubt provide some great entertainment. At the same time it also presents several difficult quarterback match ups. This week marks the much anticipated return of Brett Favre to Green Bay. Favre will come out slinging but Rodgers will have the better box score at the end of the day. In another division clash, the Eagles host the struggling Giants. Both quarterbacks will be looking to put a stop to there streaky play. However, this might not be the game to get them off there slide. Brees and the Saints look to stay unbeaten against the Falcons. If Atlanta is going to have a chance they’re going to need better play out of Matt Ryan. It’s like I said, this Sunday should be very entertaining.

1) Peyton Manning – IND – QB
Manning continued his dominance on again Sunday. Against a woeful Rams team he threw for 235 yards and 3 TD’s. This week the Colts host the 49ers. Manning will continue to post solid numbers on his way to the NFL MVP.
2) Drew Brees – NOR – QB
Brees threw for 298 yards with 1 TD and 3 interceptions in the Saints come from behind win against the Dolphins. He also added 2 short rushing TD’s. This week the unbeaten Saints host the Atlanta Falcons. Brees will continue to put up MVP like numbers this weekend.
3) Aaron Rodgers – GRE – QB
Rodgers was very efficient against the Browns last weekend. He completed 75% of his passes for 246 yards and 3 TD’s. He remains a top fantasy option this weekend at home against the division rival Vikings. Rodgers has been hurried a ton this year but has remained poised in the pocket. He makes very few mistakes and we see that trend continuing this weekend against the Vikings subpar secondary.
4) Matt Schaub – HOU – QB
Schaub threw for 264 yards and 2 TD’s in a win over the 49ers. He continues to play at a very high level. This week the Texans travel to Buffalo to face the Bills. The Bills have played well the last few weeks, but I wouldn’t worry about starting Schaub. It will be very hard for any team to slow down this offense.
*injury update*Wide receiver Andre Johnson looks like he’s going to play.
5) Tony Romo – DAL – QB
Romo went off last weekend against the Falcons. He completed over 70% of his passes for 311 yards and 3 TD’s. He also added 31 yards on the ground. Romo and the Boys host a Seattle team coming off of there bye week. In his last two games Romo has thrown for over 660 yards with no interceptions. Let’s hope the trend continues this weekend in Dallas. Romo is a very good play.
6) Philip Rivers – SDC – QB
Rivers threw for 268 yards and 3 TD’s in their blowout win over the Chiefs. This week the Chargers host a woeful Raiders team. I like Rivers this week but his chances will be limited in this one. The Chargers are going to run the football against the Raiders then run some more.
7) Kurt Warner – ARI – QB
Warner was just ok in a win over the Giants. He only completed 55% of his passes for 231 yards with 1Td and 1 pick. This week the Cards host the Panthers who have been solid against the pass. You can expect Warner to be more efficient this weekend with a couple of TD passes.
8) Brett Favre – MIN – QB
This weekend Favre travels back to Green Bay to face his old team. The Packers fans are going to be fired up for this one. It should be one of the best games of the weekend. I can see Favre having one of those classic Brett Favre games. When he goes off and puts up solid numbers, kind of like he did in week 4.
9) Jay Cutler – CHI – QB
Cutler has a great match up this weekend at home against the Browns. I would have ranked him higher but I think the Bears are going to try and run the ball against the inferior Cleveland defense limiting Cutlers chances. Expect an efficient day from Jay.
10) Joe Flacco – BAL – QB
Flacco and the Ravens come off the bye to face the undefeated Broncos. This is as close to a must win game as you can get for the Ravens. With the Denver also coming off the bye, we can expect a slug fest and low scoring affair. Flacco has been one of the hardest quarterbacks to gauge on a weekly basis.
11) Donovan McNabb – PHI – QB
McNabb continued his streaky ways in Monday nights win over the Skins. He only managed to throw for 156 yards and 1 TD. With the Giants up next and Westbrook most likely out, McNabb needs to step up his game. I don’t necessarily like his chances against a hungry Giants team.
12) Matt Ryan – ATL – QB
Ryan hasn’t put up very good numbers over the last two weeks. He has failed to throw for over 200 yards in each. With the Falcons traveling to New Orleans to take on the undefeated Saints, Ryan is going to have to play a very good game. We’re hoping for a bounce back performance in what looks like a game that could be a shootout or a blow out.
13) David Garrard – JAC – QB
Garrard has a very favorable match up this weekend against the Titans. He’s a borderline QB1 option against a bad Titans secondary.
14) Kyle Orton – DEN – QB
Orton comes off the bye week and travels to Baltimore to face the Ravens. We liked Orton as a preseason sleeper and he hasn’t let us down. He wont put your team over the top but he’s a safe play.
15) Eli Manning – NYG – QB
Eli continued to struggle Sunday night against the cards. He did manage to throw for 243 yards and a TD, but was picked off three times. With the Giants traveling to Philly, Eli might be best, if left on your bench.
16) Matt Hasselbeck – SEA – QB
Hasselbeck and the Hawks come off the bye and travel down to Big D to take on the Cowboys. The Cowboys secondary hasn’t been great but they’ve been scrappy enough to limit opposing quarterbacks. This weekend should be no different. Hasselbeck is a low end QB1 option this week.
17) Alex Smith – SFO – QB
The former first round pick came off the bench last week to throw for 206 yards and 3 scores. His performance earned him the start this weekend against the Colts. Smith is worth watching as potential QB2 heading down the stretch.
18) Chad Henne – MIA – QB
Henne threw for 211 yards with two picks against the Saints. The Dolphins travel to New York this weekend to play the Jets. The former Michigan standout shouldn’t be considered an option this weekend unless your in two quarterback leagues or very desperate.
19) Mark Sanchez – NYJ – QB
In the blow out win against the Raiders he was only asked to throw the ball 15 times. He made the most of his attempts completing 9 of them for 143 yards and a Td. He also added a touchdown on a one yard sneak. At home against the Dolphins he should only be in your line up if your desperate.
20) Marc Bulger – STL – QB
Bulger regressed back to his woeful ways after showing some promise in week 6. Even though the Rams are playing Detroit this weekend, I wouldn’t count on Bulger for much of anything.
21) Jake Delhomme – CAR – QB
Delhomme did throw for 325 yards but was picked off three times. I wouldn’t recommend starting him but with six teams on the bye week you might have no choice.
22) Matthew Stafford – DET – QB
Stafford looks to be back this week after missing time with a knee injury. With six teams on the bye, he could be an ok match up play against the Rams. However, he could be without his top target Calvin Johnson in this one. Much like Sanchez and Henne only if your desperate.
23) Ryan Fitzpatrick – BUF – QB
Fitzpatrick isn’t pretty but he gets the job done. He’s more of a game manager than a fantasy option. He hasn’t topped 125 yards in each of his last two starts.
24) Vince Young – TEN – QB
As most of us expected, Young was named the starter coming off the bye week. I wouldn’t add him to my roster, but he could provide a boost to the win less Titans.
25) Derek Anderson – CLE – QB
Anderson has been flat out bad so far. Traveling to Chicago to face a Bears team that was humiliated last weekend is no way to stop the skid. I don’t consider him a viable fantasy option and neither should you.
