Tuesday Fantasy Football Brothers takes a 1ST LOOK around the NFL where we provide instant analysis of what it all means to you in fantasy nation. We take our 1ST Look today at the Running Back spot. Week 8 is the halfway point for most fantasy seasons. So in the spirit of the halfway point I thought what better time to think about next year’s running backs. Here is my Top Ten as things stand for 2010.

A.P. Has Been Leaps and Bounds Better Than Any Other Back In 09, Where Does He Rank For 2010?
1. Adrian Peterson-Min- I mean how can you not take him first overall, unless someone else plays like gang busters in the second half to take over this spot.
2. Maurice Jones-Drew- Jac- Though statistically under performing due to the Jags abandoning the run the mighty mite is well on pace to finish with 1400-1600 total yards 20 touchdowns, and P.P.R. bump about 65ish receptions
3. Cedric Benson-Cin- Once labeled a super bust, Benson proved that the end of 08 was no fluke, as he heads into his teams bye week leading the NFL in rushing and is in pace to finish with over1600 yards rushing and at least 13-18 total touchdowns
4. Ronnie Brown-Mia- I mentioned in my week 7 ranks about how Brown wanted to be considered an elite back. Brown continues to get better with each passing week and will likely finish the season with 1,300 yards rushing and around 17-21 TDs
5. Steven Jackson-St.L- It speaks volumes about Jackson’s talent when he makes the list at all despite not having scored one TD this season. Jackson consistently faces stacked fronts, and continues to carry this woeful offense on his back. SJack is currently 3rd in the NFL in rushing and is on pace to finish with about 1,700 total yards, and he will find the endzone a couple of times this year, but imagine what he could do with a little help offensively next year
6. Ray Rice-Bal.- Rice is quickly becoming the next generation Brian Westbrook, with his quick feet, great vision and outstanding hands have made him and every down threat. Rice could finish the season with 2,000 yards total offense and 11-15 TDs and as a P.P.R. bonus he could crack 90 receptions
7. DeAngelo Williams-Car- Despite having a lousy pass offense the run game continues to thrive despite it’s own Quarterback. D.Will is on pace to finish with about 1,300 yards rushing, and 1,600 yards total offense and about 12-15 TDs, if you listened to me in my RB draft kit and had realistic expectations for D.Will he will have done what was expected of him, but if you drafted him for a 20+ TD year, you have been sorely disappointed.
8. Chris Johnson-Ten-Johnson and Tennessee’s year has been a nightmare for fans and owners alike. With the exception of his 3 touchdown game, Johnson has been mediocre at best. The team has suffered due to an atrocious defense especially in the pass defense department. Despite the lack of scoring Johnson will likely finish the season with about 1800-2000 total yards and about 40-50 receptions, the question will be will the TDs be there?
9. Michael Turner-Atl-Turner has had a down year rushing the ball with fantasy experts yelling the curse of 360 or other non-sense fact of the matter is despite his woeful rushing totals and scary y.p.c, Turner scores and he will likely finish this year with at least 18-22 of them.
10. Tie Steve Slaton-Hou-Rashard Mendenhall-Pitt- Both have shown flashes at times and both should get the majority of touches next year, the problem is that both have put the ball on the ground way too much and have not proven to be trust worthy to their coaches or the team’s management. If neither are able to take care of their fumblitis in 09 they are both going to be saddled with committees in 2010.
Fantasy Football Brothers is very excited to announce a huge change coming that we will release on November 1st. Be on the lookout. Let the hype begin.
