The NFL is in week 6 and the bye week for Peyton Manning owners couldn't come at a worst time. Indianapolis is the best offensive team in football and for fantasy teams in the middle of the pack this is an important week. The player projections have been solid, granted we didn't project Cleveland Browns quarterback Derek Anderson to throw for 23 yards, but hey, we tried. This is also the week that many fantasy teams will make moves with their roster as they try and get a feel for what players they want to keep and what players they can deal to make their team better. Now is the chance to buy low on certain guys, such as Steve Smith of the Carolina Panthers and Steven Jackson of the St. Louis Rams. The good fantasy owner is always looking for ways to improve their team and Fantasy Football Brothers is... read more

Fridays at F.F.B. means our Final Ranks and Writeups are hot and fresh. Consistency is something that has been missing this year in fantasy football. Sure there are always up and downs during the year but this season feels and looks different, there has been virtually no back that can be counted on for TDs and yardage week in and week out. My Week 6 top 10 looks nothing like the consensus preseason top 10. It amazes us here at FFB the transformation that has taken the fantasy world by storm. There has been no rhyme or reason this year at the RB spot, tough defenses are impossible to run on right Cedric Benson?, and Michael Turner can’t run on 3-4 defenses just ask the 49ers. Sell highs guys McGahee, Harrison, and Glenn Coffee allowed owners to pillage desperate owners rosters for these sell high guys, and now these owners... read more

Fridays at the Brotherhood mean Final Ranks. Last week, Fitz and Andre did not let down in the Main Event. Those two once again top our list. Greg Jennings has been saying "Get me the ball!". Green Bay coming off a bye week and facing the Detroit Lions should help. "The Other" penetrates the top five in what should be a shoot-out with New Orleans. Brandon Marshall continues to reward the few faithful owners that went out on a limb and grabbed him. Miles Austin cools off as the Cowboys are on a bye. Other byes include: Indy, Miami and San Fran. Have a sit/start, waiver wire, or trade question – Send it in. The Brotherhood answers ALL questions FREE of charge. It’s Friday at the Brotherhood and it is time for Final Ranks. It's Week 6 in the NFL and the contenders are starting to separate themselves from the pretenders. The same can be said for the quarterback position as well, where last week we saw quarterbacks perform at a high level, rewarding many fantasy owners. Week 6 should be no different, although Peyton Manning is on a bye week, along with Tony Romo who needs a bye week to go out and party, Chad Henne who is just trying to stay afloat, and Shaun Hill who is ready for a bye week after the 49ers got drubbed last week at the hands of the Falcons. This week should be a good one, as many quarterbacks have savory matchups, most notably Ben Roethlisberger at home against Cleveland and Donovan McNabb against Oakland. Let’s not forget Tom Brady and the Patriots will take... read more

It’s Friday at the Brotherhood and it is time for Final Ranks. The Tight End spot this week could be the difference between your fantasy team winning or losing, so don't take them lightly. Dallas Clark on a BYE should provide for some opportunities for some owners, while creating a dilema for the Clark owners themselves. Waiver wires are full of TE potential, so matchups and hot streaks should be carefully studied. At the brotherhood, we have done the work for you, so sit back, relax, and read about the projections for Week 6 around the league. As Always.. The Running Back By Committee (RBBC) has swept the league as coaches look to keep their studs healthy and optimize opportunity by creating situational backs. As the trend turned into an epidemic, fantasy owners found themselves frustrated as the "every-down back" looked to become dying breed. But the RBBC is not all that bad, and it has done what it was meant to do - keep your starters healthy. The '08 season was dominated by the impressive tag-team duos of Chris Johnson and LenDale White, DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward. But '09 belongs to Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. The Miami Dolphins have made use of what was thought to be a simple fad, but the Wild Cat Offense is here to stay. After an impressive victory over the New York Jets, the Dolphins... read more

The NFL season is in full swing, along with that comes the bye weeks that can wreak havoc on your fantasy squad. Many owners have been left short with the bye weeks, so we at Fantasy Football Brothers would like to do what we can to hopefully help you out in your time of need. Last week I wrote an article called the "droppables" in which I put myself out on a limb and my editor forced me to put a disclaimer for the very reason of looking like a fool. Week 5 has come and gone and as I look back on the article, I see a couple of names that stand out, for example Jamal Lewis(117 yards rushing), Jeremy Maclin(6 rec.,142 yards,2 TD's) and Miles Austin(10 rec.,250 yards,2 TD's). While these guys had career days, it is nice to know they have officially made it off the "droppable" list. Back... read more

Every Monday and Tuesday Fantasy Football Brothers takes a 1ST LOOK around the NFL where we provide instant analysis of what it all means to you in fantasy nation. We take a 1ST LOOK at RB ranks. Week Six has Dallas,Miami,Indianapolis and San Francisco all on byes this week. Looking back at week 5 I made the biggest typical mistake that always happens in fantasy football. I ranked the Running backs more to match up play, I can admit it I tried to get cute instead of using the old adage that I always tell our readers. Always start your studs. I went against my own maxim and my ranks suffered because of it. Cedric Benson punched me in the face with a 120 yards rushing and a touchdown all because I built up the Ravens run defense, is it possible I jinxed the Ravens? So for now I will... read more
