A.P. Has Been Leaps and Bounds Better Than Any Other Back In 09, Where Does He Rank For 2010?

Tuesday Fantasy Football Brothers takes a 1ST LOOK around the NFL where we provide instant analysis of what it all means to you in fantasy nation. We take our 1ST Look today at the Running Back spot. Week 8 is the halfway point for most fantasy seasons. So in the spirit of the halfway point I thought what better time to think about next year's running backs. Here is my Top Ten as things stand for 2010. 1. Adrian Peterson-Min- I mean how can you not take him first overall, unless someone else plays like gang busters in the second half to take over this spot. 2.  Maurice Jones-Drew- Jac- Though statistically under performing due to the Jags abandoning the run the mighty mite is well on pace to finish... read more

One Week Wonder? I think not! Tony Romo's new toy continues to impress. He breaks into the top ten as Dallas goes up against the struggling Seahawks.

The top 20 is in complete dismantlement as the WR position is plagued with both injuries and bye weeks heading into week 8. With Andre, Wayne, Megatron and Boldin facing injuries - teams are panicking, checking the IR and Waiver Wire. It does not help when the position loses Ocho, Bowe, Moss, Welker, Hines, Santonio and Santana to bye weeks. The TOP 10 is up for grabs and there are some surprises. Let's take a look as The Brotherhood goes deep in search of the best WR plays heading into week 8. As Always..   Do you have a sit/start, waiver wire, or trade question? – Send it in. 1ST LOOK: HIT or MISS

Posted by Paul in Fantasy Advice on Oct 26th 2009 (Print This)

Every Monday and Tuesday Fantasy Football Brothers takes a 1ST LOOK around the NFL where we provide instant analysis of what it all means in fantasy nation.   In this weeks installment of HIT or MISS we check out the players who were studs and who were duds.  This week I left several of the quarter backs who performed and met our expectations off the list.  So you wont find Brady, Peyton, Rodgers, Brees and Rivers.  All deserved to make the list but all were all ranked in our top 6.  We expect them to be studs every week.  Instead I ranked the guys who out performed our expectations.  Palmer and Romo finally provided there owners with an outing they could be happy with.  Cedric Benson had a career day rushing as Matt Forte continued on the road to bust town.  Sidney Rice, Wes Welker and Ochcinco proved to be PPR... read more

Every Monday and Tuesday Fantasy Football Brothers takes a First Look around the league.  In this weeks installment of the injury report, we cover all of Sundays injuries that could have a significant fantasy impact.  The big news from the weekend comes from the big apple.  The Jets reported that Leon Washington will miss the rest of season with a broken leg.  Washington hasn't had a significant fantasy impact but his replacement could.  Rookie Shonn Green took the opportunity to show fantasy nation what he can do when given the chance.  He rushed for 144 yards and two scores on just 19 carries.  He should be the waiver pickup of the week we will have more on him tomorrow.  The scare of the week came from the Texans' Andre Johnson.  Johnson left the game in the fourth quarter in obvious pain.  Early reports are that the all world wide out... read more

Welcome Back! Frank Gore returns just in time to take advantage of Houston's horrific run-defense.

Week 7 brings us to the section of the NFL schedule where the bye weeks are bigger with six teams off this Sunday. Owners are scrambling to piece together lineups, and make up points that will be lost with four of the top ten point producing backs out. Though there are less games this week there are plenty of potential interesting stories being set up for Sunday. DeAngelo Williams, and Jonathan Stewart face off against Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson, and in the spirit of halloween the battle of scary quarterbacks, and even scarier run defenses. Expect a ton of points for all involved. What will the Jets Thomas Jones do for an encore performance against the Raiders after torching the Bills last weekend for over 200+ yards rushing. The NFL is in London this weekend, and Laurence Maroney has a chance to make a huge impression on Europe with a prime grade A choice match up against... read more

WEEK 7 QB RANKINGS

He's on Fire! Matt Schaub and the Houston passing attack is firing on all cylinders.

Friday at the  Brotherhood mean final ranks and write ups.  With six teams having the week off there is surprisingly no shortage in options from the quarterback position.  Last week we saw 8 quarterbacks throw for over 300 yards that included a 400 yard effort from Ben Rothlisberger.  Tom Brady continued to round into form, throwing for 380 yards and 6 touchdowns in just over a half of football.  This week the Patriots travel to England to play Tampa Bay.  Brady could become the first signal caller in NFL history to have back to back 300 yards games from two different continents.  This week the focus will be on Brett Favre and Big Ben who face off in the game of the week at Pittsburgh.  Good luck to all this week and have a great weekend. With Mason, Marshall, Sims-Walker, Megatron and Housh all on byes, teams are "going deep"  into their bench to find fill-ins. Moss and Welker take their New England high flying aerial assault over seas with an enticing play vs. Tampa.  Michael Crabtree makes his NFL debut for the Niners. The Austins - Miles and Collie, set out to prove they're more than one-week-wonders. Steve Breaston may get the chance to start with Boldin hurt. Steve Smith looks to finally get back on track, and Braylon Edwards has the pleasure of being blanketed by Nnamdi Asomugha.
