1) Drew Brees – NOR – QB
Brees continues to produce at a record breaking pace. He has already thrown for 696 yards and 9 touchdowns. The Saints travel to Buffalo to take a on a Bills team that has struggled against the pass. The only thing that can stop Brees is the weather. With a 50% chance of rain, Brees could be held to under 300 yards passing.

2) Peyton Manning – IND – QB
Manning was flat out awesome against the Dolphins. In just 15 minutes he managed to throw for 303 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Monday night win. Manning should be able to exploit an Arizona secondary that has been susceptible against the pass.

3) Philip Rivers – SDC – QB
Rivers was 25-45 for a whopping 436 yards with 2 TD’s and 2 interceptions in a loss to the Ravens. The Chargers have been forced to throw because they have been unable to get any type of consistency out of the running game. They will continue to lean on Rivers and the pass until things change. We don’t see that happening this week against the Dolphins. Look for Rivers to throw early and often Sunday.

4) Aaron Rodgers – GRE – QB
Rodgers has not lived up to his top 5 pre-season ranking so far. He threw for 261 yards with a touchdown and added 43 yards rushing in the loss to Cincinnati. Although the stat line looks ok, the performance was ugly. Rodgers was 21-39(53%) and under constant pressure. The good news is that he hasn’t turned the ball over. Look for Rodgers to begin his turn around in a tasty match up this week when the Pack travels to St. Louis.

5) Matt Schaub – HOU – QB
Schaub went off against the Titans to the tune of 357 yards and 4 TD’s. A complete difference from the 166 yard stinker in the season opener against the Jets. Schaub looked very poised and was able to pick apart a poor Titans secondary. Look for the trend to continue against Jacksonville on Sunday.

6) Tom Brady – NEP – QB
Brady looked awful against a strong Jets defense. He was 23-47(48%) for 216 yards and a pick. He constantly shied away from contact and didn’t step into his throws. This caused his passes to sail high and wide. We think Brady will improve as the season goes on but it was clear that he was not the “Tom Brady” we are used to. This week The Pats will host a solid Falcons team that should be able to pressure him into some bad throws. Brady is always a must start but taper your expectations until he looks more comfortable in the pocket.

7) Kurt Warner – ARI – QB
Last week Warner took a step in the right direction to silence the critics who continue to doubt him this year. In a win over Jacksonville, Warner was a ridiculous 24-26(92%) for 243 yards and 2 TD’s. The Cards are finally starting to look like the explosive offense of a year ago. With the Colts coming to the desert this week, Warner should be in all fantasy line ups.

**Warner put in a full practice without limitations and will start against the Colts.**

8) Matt Ryan – ATL – QB
The golden boy continues to thrive in his second season. Ryan was an efficient 21-27 for 220 yards and 3 TDS’s in a win over the Panthers. Ryan in quickly cementing him self as an every week starter and has a good test this weekend when the Falcons travel to Gillette to take on the Patriots. Look for Ryan to have another solid outing.

9) Eli Manning – NYG – QB
Eli torched the Cowboys on Sunday night to spoil there home opener. Manning looked very good while throwing for 330 yards and 2 TD’s. With question marks surrounding the Giants wide receivers at the beginning of the year we tapered our expectation for Manning. However, the emergence of Steve Smith and Mario Manningham as legitimate options have propelled Eli into a solid QB1. The Giants travel to Tampa to take on a very poor Bucs secondary. Manning will put up very good numbers on Sunday.

10) Tony Romo – DAL – QB
If you went into last Sunday nights Cowboys/Giants game only needing a couple of points from Romo you probably went to bed angry. Romo was a paltry 13-29(44%) for 127 yards with 1 TD and 3 interceptions. he did run one in but that’s about it. He misfired on several occasions and cost the Cowboys and probably hundreds of fantasy owners the win. The Cowboys are at home against the Panthers on Monday night so look for Romo to bounce back and have a good outing.

11) Trent Edwards – BUF – QB
Edwards continues to look more and more comfortable with each game. Against the Bucs Edwards completed 21-31(67%) passes for 230 yards with 2 TD’s and 1 interception. He also ran 3 times for 24 yards. I like Edwards this week. The Bills are going to have to throw to keep up with the Saints. Keep your eye on the weather in this one. There is a 50% chance of rain in Buffalo.

12) Ben Roethlisberger – PIT – QB
Big Ben threw for 221 yards with 1 TD and 1 interception in a loss to the Bears. It was raining in Chicago so his numbers were actually decent. This week the Steelers travel to Cincinnati to face a feisty Bengals defense. Look for Pit to continue to lean on Big Ben and rely on the passing game. The ground game has been nonexistent so far this season. Roethlisberger will post QB1 numbers as long as he’s putting up so many attempts.

13) Carson Palmer – CIN – QB
Palmer only threw for 185 yards in an upset win over the Packers. However, he did manage to toss 3 TD’s and added another one on a one yard sneak. He also threw 2 interceptions and looked inconsistent on a couple of series. It was a weird game and was difficult to gauge Palmers progress. This week the Bengals will host the Steelers so it will be a good test for the offense. Palmer could post solid numbers, but I would recommend sitting him if you have a better option.

14) Joe Flacco – BAL – QB
Flacco came back down to earth this week in a win over the Chargers. He managed to throw for 190 yards 2 TD’s and 1 interception. After a week one in which he had 43 attempts we expected more of the same against the Chargers. However, the Ravens only called 26 pass plays and turned the focus to the running game. We expect the trend to continue this week. The Ravens have a great match up against the Browns. Flacco will be asked to manage the game limiting his fantasy potential. He is a low end QB1 option and a great sell high candidate.

15) Jay Cutler – CHI – QB
Cutler and the Bears pulled off the upset win at home against the Steelers. He threw for 236 yards and 2 TD’s in the rain. This week the Bears will travel cross country to Seattle to face the Seahawks. We love the match up for Cutler but feel the Bears will focus on the run and try and get Matt Forte going.

16) Byron Leftwich – TAM – QB
Lefttwich is putting up impressive numbers so far. The Bucs are so bad on defense that they have no choice but to let Byron throw the ball 45 times a game. In a week 2 loss to the Bills he threw for 296 yard with 3 TD’s and 2 interceptions. This week they host the stout Giants defense. Leftwich will continue to sling the roc and makes a good low end QB1.

17) David Garrard – JAC – QB
Garrard posted solid numbers on paper against Arizona. He threw for 282 yards with 2 TD’s and 1 pick. He also ran 27 yards but fumbled 3 times. The Jage have looked bad so far this season. Aside from Maurice Jones-Drew and Mike Sims-Walker the Jags offer very little in terms of fantasy value. This week they travel to Houston to face a poor Texans secondary. This could be a good game for Garrard to try and turn things around.

18) Kyle Orton – DEN – QB
We keep saying be patient with Orton. This week the Broncos travel to Oakland to play the division rival Raiders. This is a huge test to gauge the progress of the passing game. Orton is nothing more than a low end QB2.

19) Jason Campbell – WAS – QB
Campbell and the Skins were unimpressive in what should have been a great match up against the Rams. Campbell managed 242 yards passing and another 27 yards on the ground. He failed to throw a TD pass and has only one on the year. With Detroit up next, Campbell should have a good day. He is nothing more than a QB2.

20) Matt Cassel – KAN – QB
Cassel is in danger of being benched. He needs to produce soon. Unfortunately for Cassel, the Chiefs face a solid Eagles secondary. Keep Cassel grounded for this one.

21) Kevin Kolb – PHI – QB
Kolb threw for 391 yards with 2 TD’s and 3 interceptions in a loss to the Saints. We don’t see Kolb having a repeat performance against the Chiefs. The Eagles had to throw early and often to try and keep up with the Saints. Kolb makes a decent substitute for McNabb owners.

22) Mark Sanchez – NYJ – QB
The rookie had a good second half in a win against the Patriots. He was asked to do very little in this one. With the Titans putrid secondary up next, Sanchez should have a solid day.

23) Kerry Collins – TEN – QB
Collins continues to produce at a steady pace. Her is a good QB2 and bye week fill in. With the Jets up next Collins should be on your bench.

24) Brett Favre – MIN – QB
Favre is yet to stretch the field with any consistency. Until he proves he still can, Favre will be asked to manage the games limiting his fantasy potential.

25) Shaun Hill – SFO – QB
All this guys does is win football games. That’s great in real life but this is fantasy. The 49ers will not turn hill loose limiting his value. He is a solid QB2 but nothing more.

26) Chad Pennington – MIA – QB
Pennington is yet to throw for over 200 yards in either week. He also only has 1 TD with 2 interceptions. Until the Miami passing game improves feel free to keep Chad parked on your bench.
