1) Drew Brees – NOR – QB
Brees and the boys should have a field day against the Lions. With Pierre Thomas questionable for the game, the Saints will look to throw early and often. Start all your Saints including backup running back Mike Bell.

2) Tom Brady – NEP – QB
Brady and the Patriots on Monday night football! Brady and Belichick have been on local radio stations saying that his shoulder is fine. I hope they’re right. The Bills have looked bad this pre season and the Patriots should have no problem moving the ball. Wide receiver Wes Welker hasn’t practiced very much and there is some concern that he might not go. Regardless of Welker’s status, Brady to Moss will be in full force.

3) Peyton Manning – IND – QB
We have received several question regarding the lack of production from the Colts offense this pre-season. We can’t help but stress the fact that the pre-season has no real effect on the regular season. Peyton and co. will be just fine against the Jags. Expect your typical elite outing form one of the games best.

4) Aaron Rodgers – GRE – QB
Rodgers has a tough match up at home against the division rival Chicago Bears. Chicago is better against the run than the pass so expect Rodgers to move the ball through the air. Wide receiver Greg Jennings has been cleared to play so Rodgers will have all his weapons available.

5) Philip Rivers – SDC – QB
Rivers and the Chargers have a nice match up against the Raiders in Oakland. I expect the Chargers to focus on the running game limiting the number of passes Rivers has. He will have no problem carving up the Raiders when he does drop back.

6) Tony Romo – DAL – QB
Romo has a very favorable match up against the rebuilding Tampa Bay defense. This game starts the life after T.O. era and the Cowboys should be fired up to begin the new season. Romo should have a solid outing.

7) Donovan McNabb – PHI – QB
McNabb has arguably the most talented team he has ever played with. Rumor has it that running back Brian Westbrook will play and carry a full work load. If he does then the passing game should open up even more. The Panthers are at home so expectations for McNabb should be tapered a little. This is a great test to gauge were the offense is.

8) Kurt Warner – ARI – QB
Warner has looked flat out bad throughout the pre-season. Thank goodness the pre-season is over and means nothing. Warner came into the summer as the unquestioned number 4 quarterback behind the big three. Now he has a chance to prove his doubters wrong by putting up big numbers against San Francisco. Look for the Cards to throw early and often.

9) Matt Ryan – ATL – QB
The second year man has a difficult match up at home against the Dolphins. Regardless of the math up, Ryan has several weapons at his disposal and I think he’ll have no problem spreading the ball around.

10) Matt Schaub – HOU – QB
Schaub’s ankle is fine and he’ll play at home in a tough match up against the Jets. Wide receiver Kevin Walter is doubtful and will probably miss the opener. Regardless of Walters status, the Texans have to many weapons on offense to keep them quiet. Schaub should put up solid numbers.

11) Jay Cutler – CHI – QB
Cutler will play his first game for the Bears on the road against division rival Green Bay. This will be a solid test to see were the Bears passing game is. The Bears will look to run the ball to control the clock. They don’t want to get into a shootout with the high powered Packers offense. Look for Cutler to manage to take his shots down the field off the play action pass.

12) Carson Palmer – CIN – QB
Palmer will be playing in his first action since the first pre-season game. With questions surrounding the o-line I wonder if he can stay upright long enough to use his weapons. The good news is that Palmer is going up against an uninspiring Denver defense. This should be a good test to gauge how far along the Bengals offense has come.

13) Matt Hasselbeck – SEA – QB
Hasselbeck is a great week 1 option at home against a poor St. Louis team. Seattle should be able to move the ball all day long through the air. Hasselbaeck is a solid QB1 this week.

14) Ben Roethlisberger – PIT – QB
Big Ben and the defending champion Steelers travel to Tennessee for whay should be a slug fest. The Steelers will look to pound the ball so don’t expect to much from Ben. He should have a typical and efficient day.

15) David Garrard – JAC – QB
Garrard travels to Indianapolis for a week one clash against the Colts. This should be a high scoring affair so Garrard should have a chance to throw. He remains a low end QB1 option.

16) Joe Flacco – BAL – QB
Flacco and Ravens have a great week 1 match up against the Chiefs. I love Flacco’s chances against the Chiefs, I just don’t think he’ll get the chance to throw that often. The Ravens should look to run the ball all day limiting his chances.

17) Kyle Orton – DEN – QB
Orton is going to start and play against the Bengals. Rumor has it that Brandon Marshall is a changed man and will suit up. This is great news for the Denver Broncos. Orton could put up solid numbers against the Bengals.

18) Brett Favre – MIN – QB
Farve looked good in his week 3 action during the pre-season. Don’t expect to much until he get’s a chance to develop a better chemistry with his wide outs. Look for the Vikings to lean on the run until this happens.

19) Chad Pennington – MIA – QB
Pennington is a solid game manager who wont lose you many games. He also wont push your team over the top. He is a low end QB1 and good bye week fill in.

20) Shaun Hill – SFO – QB
Shaun Hill travels to Arizona to take on the Superbowl runner ups. I like Hills ability, I’m just not so sure he has the supporting cast to be a weekly option.

21) Eli Manning – NYG – QB
Eli and the Giants face the Redskins at home. This will be a good time to see who emerges as Eli’s primary target.

22) Trent Edwards – BUF – QB
Edwards and the Bills have looked horrible on offense. I don’t think the Bills over matched offense line will be able to keep him standing long enough to find his wide outs. Keep Edwards on the bench against the Patriots.

23) Jason Campbell – WAS – QB
Campbell’s campaign season to prove he has what it takes starts Sunday against the Giants. He is not a fantasy option right now.

24) Jake Delhomme – CAR – QB
Delhomme is going to hand the ball off to Williams and Stewart all day long. Unless you get points for hand offs keep him on your bench.

25) Kerry Collins – TEN – QB
Collins host the defending Superbowl champions. Look for a low scoring affair with little production out of Collins.

26) Brady Quinn – CLE – QB
Quinn should be the starter for the Browns. Lets see if he can throw the ball down field instead of hitting his targets underneath.

27) Matt Cassel – KAN – QB
Cassel is 50-50 to play against the Ravens. Keep him on your bench.
